ENGEL Automation Group Expands Capabilities York, Pa. July 29, 2014 Expanded capabilities of ENGEL s Automation Group in York, PA provide customers with services from conceptual design through to fully integrated system solutions, all from a single source. ENGEL North America, member of the ENGEL group, a world leader in the design and manufacture of injection molding machines and parts-handling automation, has expanded the Automation Group at their York, PA headquarters -- adding five staff members -- to provide customers with a one-stop source for all their automation needs. The group, under General Manager Automation/Robotics Jay Sachania, provides automation solutions that include such services as mechanical, electrical and software engineering, conceptual through final system design, and full system integration. From simple pick and place operation through fully automated cells including upstream and downstream automation, the group has the skills and expertise to create and supply the best solution to fit your requirements. Latest Additions With the goal of increasing services for their customers, ENGEL has expanded the capabilities of their Automation Group with the addition of several key, industryexperienced, personnel:

Tom Bieber has been appointed Automation Systems Manager. He spent the last 12 years owning/operating an automation systems integration company, and has a total of 30 years experience in the automation industry with companies including Bell & Howell, Electron Energy Corporation and New Concept Technology. Tom holds five US patents in Automation Technology. Steven Horn, experienced in project management and engineering, is the new Automation Project Manager. Steve has worked for companies including Boeing, GE and ES3, and comes to ENGEL with over 30 years experience in manufacturing and distribution. Mechanical Engineer Brian Dombroski has 20 years experience in injection molding industry. Brian holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Plastic & Polymer Engineering Technology from the Pennsylvania College of Technology. Software Engineer Rob Benner holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the Pennsylvania College of Technology, and has 7 years experience in Programming, Data & Test Systems. Stephen Campbell has accepted the position of Project Engineer. Stephen is a graduate of Electro Mechanical Engineering from Penn State University. Turn-key solutions With the increasing trend towards the integration of several processing steps into highlyautomated production cells, manufacturer s need a partner with the knowledge and expertise to create the perfect solution for their specific application. Whether using an ENGEL machine or a competitive brand, the Automation Group can develop, integrate and install a turn-key system to meet those requirements. With robots, end-of-arm tooling, conveyors and guarding manufactured by ENGEL, and auxiliary equipment from

industry partners, the specialists at ENGEL will ensure all system parts are precisely coordinated to create a seamless package. More from ENGEL ENGEL s automation products include the fast and powerful ENGEL viper linear (Cartesian) robot line, the ENGEL easix line of six-axis articulating robots and the ENGEL USP sprue picker. Creating systems using ENGEL injection molding machines and automation equipment provides the added advantage of full system control through one control unit the ENGEL CC300. This state-of-art machine control provides a single point of control for not only your ENGEL injection molding machine and robot but all up / downstream and auxiliary equipment as well simplifying operation and increasing productivity. The control is so powerful that it can support not only a single machine / robot combination, but even a system including multiple machines / robots. Tom Bieber, Automation Systems Manager Steven Horn, Automation Project Manager
