Citrix makes partners successful at building their own highly differentiated, customized DaaS solutions through access to monthly pay-as-you-go licensing, a validated reference architecture, and prescriptive business and marketing resources. 2

We re very happy to have you on board as a valued Citrix partner and will work with you to build your business delivering hosted services to clients. This document introduces the program and outlines the process for acquiring and configuring Citrix product licenses in your hosting environment. To familiarize yourself with the program we recommend that you review the Frequently Asked Questions and Citrix Service Provider program guide available at www.citrix.com/csp. Citrix s for Citrix Service Providers At this point, you should have engaged with your local Citrix Service Provider distributor, completed your application and signed your agreement. The next step is to provide your distributor with a zero dollar purchase order (also referred to as a stocking order). This order specifies which levels of the program you plan to use and allows Citrix to provide your licenses. Under the Citrix Service Provider program you have the choice of using the Base level, Premium level or a combination of the two for subscriber licenses. Both levels will deliver 1,000 licenses. If you need more than 1,000 licenses to start or at any time thereafter, you can process another stocking order to receive additional licenses. Purchase order choices are: Premium: XenDesktop Platinum Edition, XenApp Platinum Edition and VDI-in-a-Box (Premium is equivalent to XenDesktop and XenApp Platinum Editions, see link) XenApp Base: XenApp Advanced Edition (Base is equivalent to XenApp Advanced, see link) VDI Base: VDI-ina-Box and XenDesktop VDI Edition Table 1 compares Base features with Premium features. Base Premium Edition Equivalent XenApp Advanced Edition XenApp + XenDesktop Platinum Edition Reporting Manual EdgeSight Provisioning Server, profiling, secure access Not included Included XenServer Not included Included App orchestration Not included Included Cloud provider packs Not included Included AppDNA Not included Included Hosted server VDI Not included Included NetScaler Gateway universal Not included Included license For additional information please take a look at the XenDesktop Feature Matrix: www.citrix.com/go/products/xendesktop/feature-matrix.html 3

Many Citrix Service Providers choose to expand their hosted offerings with additional Citrix technologies. Currently, they can also offer these Citrix technologies: NetScaler VPX (available in several bandwidth and version options) NetScaler Gateway VPX Citrix Workspace Suite Citrix Sharefile Branch Repeater VPX (available in several bandwidth and version options) CloudBridge CloudPortal Services Manager Desktop Player for Mac XenMobile Visit citrix.com for full details of how each solution can benefit your service provider business. Stocking SKUs and reporting SKUs for these additional Citrix technologies will be provided by your Citrix Service Provider distributor. Processing Your Initial Stocking Order Once you have been approved as a Citrix Service Provider, your distributor will request a zero dollar stocking order addressed to Citrix in the following format: Purchase order number Sold to service provider name and address Ship to service provider name and address Contact email address and phone number Organization ID # (to be provided by Citrix) Stocking SKUs and deliverables are included in the Stocking SKU appendix at the end of the document. Receiving Your s After Citrix processes your stocking order you will receive an email advising that a Citrix Partner Central account has been set up for you as a new Citrix Service Provider. You will also receive a separate email regarding your licenses. The license email will advise you to log into Citrix Partner Central where these licenses will be populated in the Manage s section under Licensing and Renewals. The process for applying the licenses to your systems can be found at: http://www.citrix.com/lang/english/lp/lp_2305122.asp Standard licensing information is found at: http://www.citrix.com/buy/licensing/resources.html Installing Your s Deploy a Citrix Server in your hosting environment and install the licenses provided by your Citrix distributor. Guidance for downloading, installing and configuring Citrix Servers is documented in the licensing section of Citrix edocs. 4

All Citrix Service Provider licenses for XenApp, XenDesktop and VDI-in-a-Box must be configured as user/device licenses. A concurrent licensing model is not supported within the program. Configuring XenApp 6.5 or Higher for Premium and Base Levels During installation of XenApp 6.5 (or higher), select the product edition you re planning to use. Premium and Base levels map to XenApp 6.5 product editions, as follows: Premium Configure as XenApp Platinum Edition Base Configure as XenApp Advanced Edition All Citrix Service Provider licenses under XenApp, XenDesktop and VDI-in-a-Box must be set up and reported as user licenses. This is done by setting licenses up as user/device, and requires XenApp 6.5 or XenDesktop 5.6 or newer versions. Concurrent and perpetual license models are not supported within the Citrix Service Provider program. You will have the option to configure the licensing model by setting appropriate XenApp policies. Below are screen shots outlining the exact settings for usagebased model licensing and individual settings for product edition. 5

6

Configuring XenDesktop for Premium Level The Citrix Service Provider Premium level licenses use XenDesktop configured for the Platinum Edition. This configuration is done using XenDesktop Studio. The user/device licensing model is required. 7

Configuring XenDesktop for Base Level The XenDesktop product requires a custom licensing configuration (XenDesktop Advanced) when being used with the Base level Citrix Service Provider license. XenDesktop Advanced Edition is a custom configuration of XenDesktop that only enables XenApp Base functionality. Please see this article for additional support Usage Collector The Usage Collector helps Citrix Service Providers automate reporting of XenApp and XenDesktop license usage in their environment. The Usage Collector simplifies and streamlines the process of collecting and tabulating license usage data that is reported back to Citrix distributors. By eliminating manual steps involved in collecting license usage across multiple environments and licensing servers, it saves you time in reporting. Built-in reports are available to view current usage and forecast cost. Views spanning configurable time periods help you understand growth trends and gauge popularity of demos, customer trials and pre-sales activity. Using license exceptions, you may identify and manage users on customer trials and activities such as solution validations, proof-of-concept deployments and technology demonstrations to ensure these activities come at no cost to you. Important notes on the Usage Collector: Concurrent license usage will not be collected, viewable or reported by the Usage Collector. XenApp 6.5 and XenDesktop 5.6 and newer versions support the user/device licensing model used by the Citrix Service Provider program and the Usage Collector. Older versions of XenApp and XenDesktop do not support user/device licensing and thus the Usage Collector cannot be used for those deployments. The Usage Collector scans collection points (license servers) for license usage information daily at midnight and uploads this data to Citrix each day. usage data uploaded to Citrix has been stripped of identifying properties such as user names. Service providers using the Usage Collector are still required to submit license use reports through their Citrix distributor. Download the Usage Collector from Citrix.com. Please note: To see the Usage Collector as a download you must be logged in using Citrix Service Provider-enabled credentials on Citrix.com. View Citrix edocs documentation on the Usage Collector. 8

Please note: In a multi-tenant service provider environment it s recommended to disable domain name truncation on your license server. Details on this setting are found in the edocs documentation. Reporting Usage to Your Citrix Service Provider Distributor As outlined in the program guide, as a Citrix Service Provider you have a 60-day grace period before you begin reporting to your Citrix Service Provider distributor. This period provides time for you to set up your environment and begin signing up customers. Once a customer is billed for using Citrix software you must begin reporting and paying for usage. You also can provide customers with a 30-day evaluation period before you begin billing them. This scenario only applies to customers that are not paying you for your services. Once the customer begins paying it is no longer an evaluation. All evaluations must be reported to your Citrix Service Provider distributor. On day 10 of each month you must report usage and evaluations to your Citrix Service Provider distributor and submit a purchase order for usage. If you have used the 60-day grace period and have not yet begun billing any customers, you must report zero usage to your distributor. Once you have completed your grace period, if you report two consecutive months of zero usage, Citrix reserves the right to terminate you from the program. The Citrix Service Provider reporting template, available from your distributor, must be completed for all customers being billed for services or provided evaluations. Single customers with more than 500 users reporting must be identified by name and full address, including postal code and country. This customer information will remain confidential within the program and will only be used for accurately compensating Citrix sales teams. If a customer explicitly requests to remain anonymous, you can provide an anonymous identifier for the customer with the understanding that you will maintain a file identifying the customer in case an audit is performed. In all cases the customer information must include address, postal code and country. Your distributor will supply guidance on when you should provide a purchase order for your usage and will be responsible for all credit and billing issues. Reporting Sharefile Sharefile licenses are delivered as a link to a web form that can be populated for provisioning of a customer by the Citrix Sharefile team. Once a Sharefile license is requested to be provisioned using the Sharefile Google doc form it must be reported and paid for monthly until the customer is deprovisioned. When provisioning users for a partner there will be one administrative license included which isn t a paid license. Reporting CloudPortal Services Manager CloudPortal Services Manager users under management (provisioned using CloudPortal Services Manager ) can be reported by individual service (such as Exchange, SharePoint or XenApp) or as the Complete Cloud Desktop SKU, which includes XenApp/XenDesktop plus all Microsoft services for Exchange, SharePoint and Lync, as well as custom usage developed by the partner. You must report Active Directory Sync no matter if you are using the complete Cloud Desktop SKU or the individual services. Active Directory Sync is reported as a connector for each individual customer s Active Directory, which is synchronized as well as a per-user fee for all users. Reporting NetScaler VPX NetScaler VPX is delivered with all available variations with one platform license, allowing one NetScaler instance of your choice to be deployed (NetScaler license plus platform license). When deploying NetScaler in a high availability pair you have the option of deploying the pairs as active/active or active/passive. If a NetScaler is deployed as active/active, both must be reported for each month. If a NetScaler is deployed as active/passive, then only one NetScaler must be reported for each month. Reporting Citrix Workspace Suite Citrix Workspace Suite, unlike XenDesktop and XenApp, is reported based on a provisioned model. Once a license is provisioned to a user, payment is due monthly until the license is de-provisioned. Technical Support Citrix Service Provider partners reporting more than $300.00 per month during a full quarter will receive unlimited 24/7 technical support. Qualified Citrix Service Providers will be notified by their distributor. New partners and those reporting less than $300.00 per month can purchase technical support through their Citrix Service Provider distributor. The following support agreement is available: Citrix Service Provider Support SKU: 4001631 Support details: five incidents covering one year of service Coverage: 24/7 Price: $2,550.00 Additional technical support information can be found at: www.citrix.com/mysupport 10
