Meaning of CONSERVATION Conservation: prevention of loss, damage, and waste Keep from change Conservation is the set of interventions cultural heritage. These interventions are to keep values and characteristics of cultural property and to transfer them to the next generations. Architectural conservation is the process of managing change in terms of cultural heritage since they are intrinsic part of the built environment.

Meaning of CONSERVATION Conservation is... The concept of conservation, within the scope of World Heritage Convention, is described as the methods for understanding preserving its material introducing Developing Restoring the cultural heritage including monuments, buildings, and sites. Conservation has been recognized as a concept compatible with the objectives of sustainability.

Meaning of CONSERVATION Conservation is... Conservation is both creative and modern. Our understanding of conservation was started with the declaration of UNESCO in its mid-term programme of 1989. In this text, full scope of heritage to be conserved was defined: as The cultural heritage may be defined as the entire corpus of material signs either artistic or symbolic handed on by the past to each culture and, therefore, to the whole of humankind. As a constituent part of the affirmation and enrichment of cultural identities, a legacy belonging to all humankind, the cultural heritage gives each particular place its recognizable features and its storehouse of human experience. The preservation and the presentation of the cultural heritage are therefore a corner-stone of any cultural policy.

Layers of CONSERVATION Conservation has... Two main layers of Conservation Project Physical Intervention Project, includes consolidation, conservation, restoration, etc. of physical decays and structural deformations. Utilization Project, includes functional decisions Extensions Adaptive reuse New buildings in historical areas Protective shelters Modern architecture
