INSTALL BUSINESS ANALYST PREMIUM A. Request Authorization Code & Access to File Share In order to access the file share, your domain user name must be authorized by the University s GIS Campus Administrator. Once this confirmation is made via email correspondence, follow the outline in this section to download Business Analyst software. i. Email UK GIS Campus Administrator 1. Email the UK Campus Administrator with the following information to request Business Analyst Authorization Code and access to File Share: a. Name b. Email c. Domain type (ad, mc, etc.) d. User ID (link blue ID) e. Number of ArcGIS Business Analyst Premium authorization codes requested B. Download 7Zip Software In order to download ArcGIS Business Analyst, you must first download 7Zip software in order to extract the necessary files. 7Zip Software is free to download. i. Download 7Zip Software 1. Install the appropriate 7Zip Software (http://www.7-zip.org/download.html) C. Access File Share In order to access the file share, your domain user name must be authorized by the University s GIS Campus Administrator. See Step A above for more information. i. Connect to the File Share 1. Click the Windows Start button 2. Right-click Computer in the Start menu 3. Click Map Network Drive Page 2 of 24

4. In the Map Network Drive window, choose a drive letter 5. Type in the File Share path into the folder location (\\netfiles.ad.uky.edu\arcgis) 6. Uncheck the Reconnect at logon box 7. Check the box for Connect using different credentials 8. Fill in your user name and password including the domain, e.g. ad\jhsmith1 a. Note: Do not check box for Remember my credentials. 9. Click OK 10. Click Finish a. Note: At this point, you will see two folders, one for v9.x and another for v.10.0. Once you see this, you have successfully made it into the File Share! D. Download Business Analyst Premium This installation of Business Analyst Premium applies only to ArcGIS v10.0. i. Navigate to ArcGIS Business Analyst Premium 1. Navigate into the File Share v10.0 folder ( 10.0 ) 2. Navigate to ArcGIS_Business_Analyst folder 3. Right-click and copy the 7Z File ArcGIS_Business_Analyst_10.7z to a location on your local hard drive 4. After completing the copy and paste of the 7Z File, exit the File Share ii. Install ArcGIS Business Analyst Premium Due to large file size, extraction of the Business Analyst files will take a lengthy amount of time. 1. Extract 7Z Files a. From the new file location on your local hard drive, right-click ArcGIS_Business_Analyst 7Z File and extract files. 2. After extraction is complete, double-click the Setup.exe file to begin installation a. Follow the prompts through installation process Page 4 of 24

AUTHORIZE BUSINESS ANALYST PREMIUM There are two separate components of Business Analyst Premium; (1) Business Analyst, and (2) Address Coder. Both of these components require a specified authorization file (*.sdlic and *.LF, respectively). A. Authorize Business Analyst Premium i. Save *.sdlic license file 1. Open email from UK GIS Campus Administrator 2. Right-click and Save-As the *.sdlic file attached to the email a. Save the license file in a secure location on your hard drive ii. Open ArcGIS Administrator (v10) 1. Open Start Menu 2. Select All Programs 3. Select ArcGIS 4. Open ArcGIS Administrator iii. Set Data License File in ArcGIS Administrator 1. In ArcGIS Administrator, select Data Licenses from the left-hand tree view Page 5 of 24

2. Click Add a license 3. Navigate to the location of your saved.sdlic license file 4. Open the file Page 6 of 24

5. Once the file is open, Data License Information will list the BA_10_US_Premium_2010 license information a. Note: If you see this information listed under Data License Information, you have successfully authorized the ArcGIS Business Analyst Premium Software. 6. Click Apply 7. Click OK B. Authorize Address Coder for Business Analyst Premium i. Save *.LF license file 1. Open email from UK GIS Campus Administrator 2. Right-click and Save-As the *.LF file attached to the email a. Save the license file in a secure location on your hard drive ii. Open Business Analyst 1. Open Start Menu 2. Select All Programs 3. Select ArcGIS 4. Open Address Coder 10 iii. Set Address Coder License File in Address Coder 10 1. Click OK in the Demo Mode Window 2. From the Address Coder Main Menu, select File Page 7 of 24

3. Select Options 4. In the Options Window, select the License Tab (a default license file is shown temporarily) Page 8 of 24

5. Under License Information, browse to the location of the saved.lf file 6. Select and open the *.LF file 7. Once the file is open, License File will list 10_NATIONAL_BA_PREMIUM_CODER.LF license information a. Note: If you see the new license file listed under License File, you have successfully authorized the ArcGIS Address Coder for Business Analyst. 8. BUSINESS ANALYST ONLINE & COMMUNITY ANALYST ONLINE Business Analyst Online is a web-based Esri product that integrates demographic, consumer, and business data for fast and easy evaluation. Business Analyst Online must be activated through the process outlined. In addition, activation through this process will also provide access to Community Analyst Online. Community Analyst Online is a web-based Esri product that provides simple and easy-to-use GIS capabilities in a variety of ways. A. Create Esri Global Account (Free) A free Esri Global Account is required for access to Business Analyst Online & Community Analyst Online (https://webaccounts.esri.com//cas/). i. Create Esri Global Account 1. Navigate to Esri s Global Account website to create a login: https://webaccounts.esri.com//cas/. 2. Click Create account 3. Follow through prompts to create your Esri Global ID Account 4. Confirm your registration by entering your Password and clicking OK B. Activate Subscription i. Activate Business Analyst Online, Community Analyst Online & Business Analyst Online with API with your Esri Global Account 1. Email ukgisca@uky.edu for Activation Link if not provided previously. 2. Navigate to activation link provided 3. Click log in here Page 10 of 24

4. Enter your Esri Global Account Username and Password 5. Click Log In 6. You have now successfully activated your Business Analyst Online, Community Analyst Online and your Business Analyst Online API account with the University of Kentucky! C. Login to Business Analyst Online i. Login to Business Analyst Online 1. Navigate to http://bao.esri.com 2. Enter your Esri Global Account Username and Password 3. Click Sign In Note: You will be logged into BAO and brought to the Home page. D. Login to Community Analyst Online i. Login to Community Analyst Online 1. Navigate to http://communityanalyst.esri.com/ 2. Enter your Esri Global Account Username and Password 3. Click Sign In Note: You will be logged into Community Analyst Online and brought to the Home page. Page 11 of 24

BUSINESS ANALYST ONLINE REPORTS ADD-IN Activation of Business Analyst Online is required for use with Business Analyst Add-In for ArcGIS Desktop; see Business Analyst Online & Community Analyst Online for instructions on activation prior to downloading the Business Analyst Online Reports Add-In. The report add-in(s) allows for the incorporation of data and maps from the online portal (Business Analyst Online). A. Download Reports Add-In i. Download Reports Add-In 1. Navigate to Esri s Business Analyst Online Reports Add-In website http://resources.arcgis.com/content/esri-business-analyst-online/add-in/about. 2. Click download Note: Esri states that you will receive a Free 7 day Trial Subscription. Once installed, do not activate this free subscription since your activation of Business Analyst Online will provide you with access to the Business Analyst Reports Add-In from the University of Kentucky s subscription to Business Analyst Premium. 3. Click Save to copy the installation locally to your computer. B. Install Reports Add-In i. Extract Installation Files for Reports Add-In 1. When downloading is complete, navigate to the location of your downloaded file and rightclick to select Extract All to your computer 2. After extraction is complete, navigate to the extracted files and double-click BAOnlineReportsAddin.esriAddIn to begin the installation process ii. Install Reports Add-In 1. In the Esri ArcGIS Add-In Installation Utility, click Install Add-In (leave default box choices) Page 12 of 24

2. Click OK after installation succeeded in the Esri ArcGIS Add-In Installation Utility C. Set-Up Reports Add-In for ArcGIS Desktop i. Turn on Business Analyst Online Reports Extension 1. Open Business Analyst by navigating to Start Menu > All Programs > ArcGIS (Folder) > Business Analyst (Folder) > Business Analyst (Application) 2. From the Main Menu Toolbar, open Customize > Toolbars and click Business Analyst Online Reports Page 13 of 24

3. The Business Analyst Online Reports Add-In Tool will open in ArcGIS Desktop v10 ii. Launch Business Analyst Online Reports Add-In 1. Click on the Business Analyst Online Reports Add-In Tool 2. In the Esri Business Analyst Online Reports window, add your Esri Global Account Username and Password, and click Login 3. In the Esri Business Analyst Online Reports window, click I Accept after reading the subscription agreement Page 14 of 24

4. The Esri Business Analyst Online Reports wizard will authorize your Esri Global Account Note: You do not need to complete any actions during this activation. 5. After successful activation, the Esri Business Analyst Online Reports window will open with options for downloading and viewing reports Page 15 of 24

D. Preferences in Business Analyst for Business Analyst Online i. Set Preferences in Business Analyst for Business Analyst Online 1. In ArcGIS Desktop v10, click the drop-down for Business Analyst on the Business Analyst Toolbar 2. In the Business Analyst drop-down, click Preferences 3.
