Popfax.com login page You can access your Popfax account by going to https://www.popfax.com/index.php?pop=compte. You might want to bookmark this link. You will be asked to enter your Login (the email address you supplied when you subscribed) and your Password (you received a default password by email when you subscribed). You may also set your login preferences so that the next time you access your account the Login and Password will be remembered. Note: we recommend that you check the remember me box only on your own private computer. If you are using a shared or public machine, activating this feature could allow third parties to gain access to your account.
Inside My Account Once you have logged in, you can access all features and contents of your personal Popfax account. The bar on the left-hand side contains general account information and a menu of features corresponding to the services covered by your subscription. The Information section contains your login email, your fax number, the end-of-subscription date and the amount of POP units available to you for sending faxes, SMS s,... The menu provides you with quick access to the different services available with your personal account grouped in: Services, Logs & Purchase and Account setup. The specific content for each service page gets displayed in the main area to the right, from where you will perform all actions: send a fax, send an SMS, manage your account settings, etc. 4
Send a fax Sending faxes is as easy and fast as sending an email. Before sending, you have to prepare the document to fax (see the list of compatible file formats in Appendix A). 1) Type in the recipient s Fax number, Name (optional, for your records only) and check the box to add the recipient to your Contact Book (you can send faxes to up to recipients simultaneously). 1 2) Attach the document(s) you wish to fax by clicking on Browse to locate and select it on your PC. (You are allowed to attach up to files that will be joined together to form your fax). ) Select the quality of the fax. (By default it is set to Black and White thresholding.) 2 4) Check the box to insert and edit cover page content. (Optional) 5) Check the box to send the fax as a Registered fax. (Optional) 6) Click on the Preview / Send button. (The fax has not yet been sent: clicking on this button will take you to a page where you can preview and then confirm that you wish to send the fax). 4 Note: The documents you have attached will be joined together and faxed in the order in which they were added. Preview your fax before sending Once you have clicked on the Preview / Send button, you can see how the fax looks before sending it. An estimate of how much you will be charged is displayed at the bottom of the page. 1) Click on View PDF to preview your fax in PDF format. 2) Check the box to confirm that you wish to send the fax. ) Click on Send to submit your fax. That s it! The fax is sent! Note: A success/failure transmission report is automatically sent to you by email. You may also view the status of your fax in the Outbox ( Popfax Box link) or on the History page. 1 2 7
Inbox page When you receive a fax it is placed in your Inbox, where you can manage your received faxes. Possible actions in your Inbox are: Download faxes 1) Select the faxes to be downloaded. 2) Click on Download. 7 8 Delete faxes 1) Select the faxes to be deleted. ) Click on Delete. The faxes are deleted (no recovery possible). 1 Forward faxes* 1) Select the faxes to be forwarded. 4) Type the email address or the fax number you want to forward the faxes to. 5) Click on Forward. Move faxes into a given folder** 1) Select the faxes to be moved. 6) Select the folder from the drop down box and click on OK. 2 4 5 Search for a fax 7) Type a search term. 8) Click on Search. Outbox page Once the Send button is clicked, the fax/sms sending process begins and the fax/sms is placed in your Outbox where it can be managed. Account management Cover page settings All the fields are filled by default with the information you have inserted in the Customer details section, excepting the Header logo, that is Popfax.com by default. Edit Cover Page settings 1) Upload a header logo, by locating and selecting it from your PC. 2) Edit sender information. ) Click on the Modify button. 1 2 Account management Distribution list As soon as you have purchased the Option Pack, you are able to receive your faxes on multiple email addresses. To add a new email please do as follows: 1) Type the email address you intend to receive your faxes. 2) Click on the Add contact button. ) To delete a email address from the distribution list, just select it and click on Delete button. 1 2 20
