Imagine integrating simulation into your entire nursing curriculum in just one click. We did. Nurses are expected to know more and do more than ever before, making the demand for quality nurses a top priority in the healthcare community. As a result, nursing schools around the world are looking for ways to better educate and prepare nursing students for the important role they will play in the healthcare industry. METI patient simulators are the accepted paradigm in nursing education providing an innovative learning environment where nursing students can practice clinical and critical thinking skills. When learners are given the opportunity to practice on simulators without fear of harming a real person, the result is increased self-confidence, which ultimately leads to clinical competence. METI is dedicated to providing the tools to make the transition to learning through simulation even easier for nurse educators who are responsible for integrating simulation into their nursing programs. The METI Program for Nursing Curriculum Integration (PNCI) is a powerful learning package focused on nursing educational concepts and competencies in the existing prelicensure nursing curriculum. This comprehensive program helps deans, directors and faculty of nursing programs to provide the most complete education to their learners with established competency standards and educational objectives that help to improve the overall quality of patient care and safety. Already, hundreds of nursing faculties worldwide are successfully using the PNCI.

Choose the PNCI that s right for you At METI, we realize that not every faculty has the same needs when it comes to developing curriculum and learning programs for students. That s why METI offers the PNCI in a variety of packages that cater specifically to your teaching objectives and budget. PNCI Complete The complete PNCI package includes: Integration Roadmap 100 Evidence-based SCEs on CD Instructional Documentation Onsite Faculty Development Education and Consulting* PNCI is available for use with non-meti simulators *Available without consultation for experienced simulation users. PNCI Choice Sometimes good things come in smaller packages The following PNCI Learning Modules are available for individual purchase for specific learning specialties: Adult Nursing Module a dedicated package of 20 SCEs focused on adult patient teaching practices. Pediatric Nursing Module a specialized PNCI module including 16 SCEs designed specifically for the pediatric nursing curriculum. Infant Nursing Module a specialized PNCI module including 8 SCEs designed specifically for the baby and infant nursing curriculum.

PNCI: The Power to Teach The Integration Roadmap: an educator s guide to simulation in nursing education Developed in partnership with leading nursing schools,* the PNCI s foundation is the Integration Roadmap a guide that identifies and charts each and every opportunity for learning through simulation throughout the curriculum. Simulated Clinical Experiences : the key to learning With METI s PNCI, students achieve proficiency by practicing the Simulated Clinical Experiences (SCE ) included in the package. The SCE is the tool that brings the learning experience to life. Each SCE is a turnkey module empowering faculty to deliver the learning strategy with minimal effort. SCEs are evidence-based and utilize best practice standards to address regional variations, while allowing faculty to modify the simulation to meet individual objectives. Each SCE includes detailed information to address learning objectives and guarantees a successful learning experience. An overview of the patient s history, learning objectives, questions, suggested equipment, references and more are included offering a complete process tool that requires minimal faculty development time for use. A learner s version of the SCE includes information to better prepare the learner for the exercise. Onsite Consulting: your key to successful implementation At METI, we know our high-tech learning tools are only as effective as your ability to execute them easily and effectively. To ensure successful implementation of the PNCI, a METI-certified peer nurse educator will deliver a faculty development course and consulting at your facility and will be available to answer your questions every step along the way. *The PNCI has been developed in partnership with the following institutions: Texas Woman s University, Dallas TX, Prairie View A&M University, Houston TX, Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, Newark NJ, Mount Carmel College of Nursing, Columbus OH, Fox Valley Technical College, Appleton WI, Golden West College, Huntington Beach CA, Delgado Community College Charity School of Nursing, New Orleans LA.
