Speaker Biographies Prof. Mark S. Seasholes conducts research in the field of financial economics. He received his BA from Wesleyan University, AM and PhD degrees from Harvard University. Prof. Seasholes s research focuses on trading behavior and asset prices. He has written on cross-border equity investments and herding behavior of individual investors. Prof. Mark S. Seasholes Academic Director of HKUST-NYU Stern Prof. Seasholes worked a few years on Wall Street and in the emerging markets of East/Central Europe. He taught at U.C. Berkeley Haas School from 2000 to 2007 where he won teaching awards in three programs Master of Science in Global Finance Program Ms. Angelina Kwan is responsible for all operating aspects of REORIENT Group Limited s business and future ventures. She previously held the position of Chief Executive Officer of Mansion House Securities (F.E.) Limited, the wholly owned operating subsidiary of ALT, where she ran its operations and whilst working with the Liquidators and the Investor successfully restructured and relisted the Group. Ms. Angelina Kwan Chief Operating Officer and Executive Managing Director, REORIENT Financial Markets Limited Ms. Kwan has over 25 years of experience in Management, Regulation, Compliance, Audit and Internal Audit across a wide range of business in both Asia and the US. A Certified Public Accountant both in Hong Kong and the United States, Ms. Kwan holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Accounting), an M.B.A. (Finance) and a Bachelor of Laws. Mr. Alan Luk is Head of Private Banking and Trust Services at Hang Seng Bank. He oversees the Bank s private banking and trust services business, providing wealth management services to meet the various needs of high-net-worth customers. Prior to joining Hang Seng, Mr. Luk held senior positions such as Treasurer at a number of international banks in Hong Kong. Mr. Richard Mak, CFA Head of Advisory Services Speaker Biographies Mr. Richard Mak, CFA is the Managing Director and Regional Head of Advisory of BNP Paribas Wealth Management in Asia. He oversees the investment advisory services in equity, fixed income, and investment funds as well as the investment counseling teams in both HK and Singapore. Prior to joining BNP Paribas, Mr. Mak was a senior investment advisor and portfolio manager at the JPMorgan Private Bank. He managed the Japanese equity investments for Lombard Odier Group and Skandia Asset Management from 1995 to 2003. Mr. Mak has also worked for Citibank Private Bank, Goldman Sachs & Co, and Nomura Securities. Pictet Wealth Management Asia Mr. Mak served as the President Council Representatives for the Asia Pacific Region of the CFA Institute from 2004 to 2008. He was the President of the Hong Kong Society of Financial Analysts from 2002 to 2005. Mr. Mak has been a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the CFA Institute since 1993. Dr. Wendy Guo, CFA Dr. Wendy Guo is the Head of Education, Asia Pacific for CFA Institute. Based in Hong Kong, Wendy oversees Education in the Asia Pacific region, including developing educational products to meet the needs of regional and global members, organizing educational events, such as conferences and seminars, strengthening university partnerships, and working with global teams to support CFA exam and curriculum developments. Mr. Chen was appointed as Editor, Financial Services at South China Morning Post in February 2012. In this role, he oversees the financial industry and investment news coverage for the Post.
