Alliance Overview Control Systems Copitrak provides law and professional services firms the ability to administer and recover office related expenditures as well as providing accurate, efficient, and automated expense management. Copitrak ES for Canon, which leverages Canon s Multifunctional Embedded Application Platform (MEAP ), allows users to enter and search for client related information directly at the control panel of a Canon imagerunner multifunction device and provides practicable cost capture and analysis information which is fed through to a firm s billing system. Copitrak ES for Canon, which runs directly on Canon imagerunner MEAP enabled devices and removes the need for Copitrak hardware terminals, offers state-of-the art technology to capture photocopy and scan data. The Copitrak ES for Canon MEAP application is linked in real-time with a firm s accounting system for validation of client-matter numbers and provides users all the features they expect in a fully integrated single cost recovery solution. Copitrak s Embedded MEAP application was designed to work in conjunction with Copitrak s existing software systems and hardware terminals. Control Systems Copitrak enrolled in Canon s Alliance Partner Program to develop an embedded application to its cost recovery solution on Canon s MEAP Platform. Control Systems Copitrak completed their Copitrak ES for Canon Version 1 in June 2006. Control Systems Copitrak continued development with Canon s MEAP Platform has brought further development in their offerings. As of May 2008, the Copitrak ES for Canon Version 2 is available for full deployment. Control Systems Copitrak and Canon work together to promote this robust cost recovery solution. Control Systems Copitrak manages the sale and implementation from start to finish. 4

Product Overview Copitrak ES for Canon Copitrak ES for Canon is a MEAP application that runs on the imagerunner device and uses true client/server architecture over TCP/IP to communicate back to a central Copitrak server from any point within an existing LAN and WAN network. Standard Copitrak features such as Search, Last Account Recall, and Favorites are a touch away; regardless of location making usage simple, fast, and accurate. Other features of the Copitrak ES for Canon MEAP application include: Automatically routes, tracks, and manages jobs and assigns costs to jobs. Presents to users all the Copitrak features expected in a fully integrated single solution: Smartbar interface for client/matter selection of a user s favorite accounts Global Last Job Recall and Speed Dial of accounts Super Search for account names and client/matter codes Auto Complete the terminal automatically completes client/matter numbers Multi-language capability Secured Print for network jobs Provides real-time link with a firm s accounting system for validation of client matter numbers Co-exists with all other Copitrak terminals on the same network Maximizes cost recovery TCP/IP Connection Corporate LAN / WAN Canon Color imagerunner C4580i Device Copitrak ERS Server Copitrak ES for Canon, based on Canon s MEAP embedded technology, uses state-of-the-art TCP/IP communications, allowing terminals to communicate back to a central Copitrak Expense Recovery Server (ERS) from any point within an existing LAN and WAN network. Copitrak ES for Canon eliminates the need for external cost-recovery handware terminals, which allows legal and professional services firms to enhance their workflows by utilizing their existing office equipment technology. 5

Workflow Description 1 Sign On to Copitrak ES for Canon 1a User Login At this screen, the User is prompted for their User ID. User ID is validated against Expense Recovery Server. 2 Data-Entry Modes + 2a Search Screen The Search button is used to activate the search engine. Users may search for Account Codes, Clients Name, or Favorites. 2b Job Description Screen Job description entry based on global settings or account type. 2c Last Jobs Screen Last Jobs button displays the last 16 jobs entered in the terminal by a User. The User can select the Account Code from the list to assign it to the current transaction. 9

Copitrak ES for Canon Embedded Quick User Guide Login Enter your User ID or Lawyer ID on the Numeric Key Pad and hit Enter. Make A Copy Enter your Client-Matter Number and hit Enter. te OVRD function will override the Account Code validation forcing the system to accept the current entry. Enter the job description and hit Enter. Canon s MFP entry screen is displayed for copy and scanning. Perform one or more copy jobs. When finished press the ID button on the MFP s keypad to return to the enter User ID screen. Other Keys Touch CLR to clear any entry. Double click on any entry box to access the alpha numeric keypad. Touch End on the Touch-Screen at anytime to cancel the current job and return to the enter User ID screen. At any time press the ID button on the MFP s keypad to return to the enter User ID screen. 10

Copitrak ES for Canon Embedded Quick User Guide (continued) Smart Bar User Features After entering a valid User ID, the Smart Bar will automatically appear on the left portion of the Touch-Screen. Search Touch the Search square and type a word or name from the client s name or matter description on the Touch-Screen keyboard. Several search words can be entered to narrow your criteria. Touch the square in the Search column to select. Last Jobs The system will provide you a quick list of the last 16 unique client-matter numbers you ve worked on four at a time. Simply touch the entry to select it or touch the Arrow box just to the right to view entries four through eight, etc. Auto Complete Touch the Auto Complete square and then enter the beginning numbers of the Client-Matter code on the Numeric Key Pad. The system will build a list of matching codes in the Auto Complete column. Simply touch the square to select. Favorites The Favorites button is used to display a list of up to 20 frequently used Account Codes selected during the Favorites Web Page Dialog session in Web Edit 2005. Next/Prev buttons are used to page through the side bar account lists displayed by the Last and Favorites side bar functions. 11
