Installation Services Descriptions - Perth In order to avoid misinterpretation, the definitions of various installation terms are listed below as follows: Payment and Order Confirmation Please pay the pre-installation site inspection fee at the checkout in order to trigger your installation process. Following the pre-installation site inspection visit by one of the qualified installers, you must agree with the installer on any required changes to your plan, product list, installation estimate and the installation date. The installer will then contact IKEA and advise us of any changes to your plan and product list and confirm the installation date. An updated version of your plan and product list will be sent to you for payment. Upon full payment to IKEA for the cost of the products as detailed in the IKEA quotation, IKEA will trigger your order and installation. If you purchase a custom made stone/acrylic worktop or splashback from IKEA, IKEA will confirm the final cost of the custom made worktop or splashback and subject to approval, payment will be taken and the order will be triggered. Please refer to the installation terms for the custom stone/acrylic worktop and splashback installation process. Home Delivery Confirmation Delivery is to take place within a lead-time of a minimum 24 hours before the installation date. If you require your order to be delivered at a date later than the standard home delivery period, you will need to pay for additional storage costs. Home Delivery Conditions Delivery will take place to the specified location subject to the following conditions: 1. Delivery must be within the metropolitan area. 2. The Home Delivery service will contact you within normal office hours to confirm the delivery time. 3. You must check the measurements of the items to ensure that sufficient access and space is available to complete the delivery including staircase and lift access before purchase. 4. If delivery cannot be made to the room of your choice, delivery will be made to an alternative area at the same address. 5. If delivery cannot be made to the location specified due to the nature of the premises, insufficient access or for any reason not attributable to IKEA including your absence, you will be liable for any additional delivery charges and costs including redelivery. 6. If IKEA s representative reasonably considers that the room of your choice is unsuitable and that delivery into the specified room is likely to cause damage to goods or property, they will inform you and record this concern on the delivery document. You may accept delivery in spite of such concern provided IKEA is not liable for any damage caused to either goods or property.

7. If you require the goods to be re-delivered on an alternative date, an additional delivery charge will be applied. Re-delivery will not take place until this additional charge, for which you are responsible, has been paid to IKEA. 8. On delivery you or your representative must check the condition of the goods and whether the correct number of parcels has been delivered. In the event of damaged or missing items, you (or your representative) should make a note. Missing items will be reordered, incorrect or damaged items will be returned and replaced free of charge. You must notify IKEA within a reasonable time if you discover any defects. These conditions are in addition to and do not affect your statutory rights. 9. On delivery, the purchase order must be signed by either you or your representative. Cancellation Policy PLEASE NOTE: Goods that have been ordered to your specifications, e.g. custom made worktops and splashbacks, once confirmed cannot be amended, returned or cancelled at any time unless the items are found to be faulty, of unsatisfactory quality or unfit for the purpose and we cannot remedy the fault to your reasonable satisfaction. The fees for the Worktop Templating, Worktop Processing and Pre-Installation Site Inspection are non-refundable once these services have been provided. Returns Policy Non Defective Products Unused items in their original packaging can be returned within 90 days with your till receipt for a full refund. This policy does not apply to custom made worktops and splashbacks, mattresses (unless in their original packaging), cut fabric, or As-Is (Bargain Corner) purchases. A fee will be charged if a collection is required. In-Home Measuring and Planning Service IKEA Home Measurement & Planning appointments entitle IKEA customers to spend 2-3 hours (at one appointment) with a trained IKEA home planner. A written Kitchen/Laundry quotation is given on completion. The service includes: A single visit of up to 2-3 hours to the customer s nominated single site. Identify the location and measurements of architectural elements such as walls, door and window dimensions, architraves, ceiling heights etc. Advice on the positioning of all services including power points, gas points and drainage points. Indicating where and how the connection points will need to be located in the new design. Identify and discuss with the customer any possible constraints and advising potential solutions for the installation. Measuring the dimensions of the room and ensuring the design that suits the customer can be installed into the available space.

A drawing of the plan and elevation view of the area including the above information. Designing a kitchen or laundry that best suits the customer s requirements, budget and IKEA standards in line with the dimensions of the room ensuring the design can be installed into the available space. The plan will be completed using the IKEA Home Planning (IHP) tool and a copy will be provided to the customer and IKEA (upon customer request). IKEA or the Home Planner shall be under no liability however in respect of any defect which arises from building works carried out after the plan has been completed, negligence in advising the Home Planner of any planned structural change, or any unauthorised changes to a plan without IKEA s and the Home Planner s approval, or failure to follow IKEA instructions (whether oral or in writing). The Home Planner must be notified immediately if any claim arises from the accuracy or quality of the plan or upon any defect becoming apparent. To prevent incurring any further costs due to changes to your plan being required after the appointment, it is important to make your selections for finishes and appliances by visiting the inspiring displays at the IKEA store, reviewing your IKEA kitchen Brochure or by visiting the IKEA website, prior to your appointment wherever possible. Please complete your IKEA Planning Checklist prior to the Home Plan taking place. It is also very helpful to have all interested parties and/or decision makers present at the appointment. Your IKEA Home Planner may make one minor change to your completed plan free of charge, for example doors finish or handle change, or a change to the internal function of a cabinet. Any changes that are required after the completed plan has been issued, which require the re-planning or re-quoting of your IKEA kitchen or laundry, must be submitted in writing by email to your Home Planner and will incur an additional fee of $50 per hour plus GST. This fee is payable directly to the IKEA Home planner. All product price estimates are valid for the IKEA catalogue year.
