In online tender process, suppliers will be invited to participate in a tender via email. Sample email as below. Page: 2/10 Supplier has to access to the Supplier Portal to view the RFx (tender) detail. The portal can be accessed from our website, http://www.tnb.com.my/suppliers/srm.html 1. Click on 04 Supplier Self Services image. 2. Click SUPPLIER SELF SERVICE Button image. or directly from Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) Portal, https://srm.tnb.com.my/portal, it will be prompted with a login screen.
Page: 3/10 1.2.2.3.1 Login to Supplier Portal. At the login screen, enter: Description User ID Password Value <Enter the User ID> <Enter the password> Note: Self service supplier id and password are given via email when supplier has successfully registered as a TNB supplier. The email is sent to the supplier s contact person email as registered with TNB.
Page: 4/10 Upon successful log on, the supplier welcome screen will be displayed. 1.2.2.3.2 At the supplier welcome screen, to search or display RFx detail, go to tab. Keyin the RFx number at the Event Number field and click button. The specific RFx will be listed at below section. To search for a specific RFx number, supplier can click on criteria: button by keyin the following Field Event Number Event Status My Responses From Description Your RFx Number Status your RFx, eg: Current RFx, Ended RFx, Completed RFx Your Response from when, eg: Today Value <Enter RFx Number> <Choose Status> <Choose My Responses From>
Page: 5/10 Select/Highlight the RFx (Event Number) and click on button or click at the underlined event number. Display RFx: XXXX screen will be displayed. 1.2.2.3.3 At display RFx screen, supplier shall view and check the detail information about the RFx. There are three tabs displayed namely RFX Information, Items, and Notes and Attachments. RFX Information tab displays the RFx parameters such as Start Date, Tender Closing Date, Opening Date, Tender Validity Date, Tender Fee Amount and Tender Fee Submission Deadline. Items tab display the material/product or services that is being tenderred. Notes and Attachment tab displays any notes or documents attached by TNB for supplier to read and review. When decided to participate in the RFx, click on the button else click on the button if you do not want to participate in the tender. Click on the button to decide later whether to participate or not in the tender.
Page: 6/10 When supplier/contractor click at any of the intent button, a message will be displayed. This means that the supplier has decided and TNB has been informed. If there is any changes towards the RFx, supplier will be informed via e-mail by TNB. The button allows supplier to print the RFx in pdf format. Click on button to close the display screen to or button to proceed. 1.2.2.3.5 Response Creation and Submission Supplier can create their response depending on the tender fee status. If the tender has no fee, the supplier can proceed with response creation and submit to TNB. Otherwise, the supplier has to first pay the tender fee and inform TNB of the payment. Once the payment status is updated, the button will be enabled for supplier to proceed.
Page: 7/10 To create a response to TNB, click on screen will be displayed button. A Create RFx Response 1.2.2.3.6 Click on tab. Depending on the question set by TNB, supplier will see there are several questions that needs to be answered. If there are questions to be answered, supplier has to answer the question acordingly else supplier shall proceed to the next step.
Page: 8/10 1.2.2.3.7 Go to tab to display the material/product/services which is being tendered. Select each item accordingly and click on button. Details for item screen will be displayed. Supplier will have to input the price per unit for each item listed. 1.2.2.3.8 Go to Item Data tab and enter the price. Repeat this step for another items. This function is used by the supplier to indicate any discount 1.2.2.3.9 Go to tab, click on button and choose type of discount for every seleted item. Discount (Absolute) means supplier need to enter amount in RM, eg: RM 1000. Discount (%) means supplier need to enter the percentage of the discount, eg:20%. 1.2.2.3.10 To check whether all the information are correct, in the Create RFx Response screen, click on button. If there is no error, message RFx response is complete and contains no errors will be displayed.
Page: 10/10 1.2.2.3.11 Finally, supplier needs to submit the response to TNB. Click on button. When the response is submitted, a message RFx response [RFx Number] submitted will be displayed. Click welcome screen. button to close the screen and and system will bring you back to the 1.2.2.3.12 Click on.button to exit from the system. -end-
