Workcamp No. 2: Sevadham Trust Period: July Dates: 5 th to 25 th July 2015 (travel week not included) Public: 40 school-going adolescents (12-16 years), led by a Coordinator and an animator 40 pre-school children (3-6 years), with 3 Balwadi teachers led by a Coordinator Partner: Sevadham Trust Field of work: Psychosocial support to Adolescents and Pre-school education Project: Adolescent groups and Balwadis This project needs volunteers who are knowledgeable and competent in animation, theater, games of expression. Ability to teach new skills (like art, craft, games, music, acting, etc.) to children and staff
Workcamp No. 3: DSS Mumbai City: Mumbai Dates: 9 th to 29 th August 2015 (travel week not included) Public: 200 to 300 children from 11 to 18 years benefit from the Bal Samuha (Child Participation) Partner: Door Step School Mumbai Field of work: Access to quality education Location: Mumbai Project: Balsamuha (Child Participation) Project in School and Community Ability to teach new skills (like art, craft, games, music, acting, etc.) to children and staff Anyone with new ideas relating to the Child Participation project or story-telling welcome!
Workcamp No. 4: Swadhar Dates: 9 th to 29 th August 2015 (travel week not included) Public: 200 to 300 children from 6 to 12 years benefit from the informal classes, 1 activity leader, 1 supervisor Partner: Swadhar IDWC (Institute for Development of Women and Children) Field of work: Access to quality education Project: Resource Centre Ability to teach new skills (like art, craft, games, music, acting, etc.) to children and staff Ability in "simple toy making" from available material for Early Childhood Development and Balwadi (Pre-School) project field workers.
Workcamp No. 5: Tara Mobile Creches Dates: 9 th to 29 th August (travel week not included) Public: 40 children from ages 6-14, children of construction workers, who do not have access to school. 2 centre-in-charges, 4 teachers, 1 coordinator Subject: Cultural Exchange Partner: Tara Mobile Creches Pune Field of work: Child Participation Project: Day Care Centre Interest and competence in animation for children of all ages; experience in education using games Ability to teach new skills (like art, craft, games, music, acting, etc.) to children and staff.
