Failing this, the full subscription fee for the year will be payable. Subscription Fees are payable immediately on joining LCCI. Subscriptions are paid annually at the beginning of every year-between January and March and may not be refunded. Thereafter fees are payable between January and March of every year for ordinary members and upon receipt of invoice for other membership categories, namely: Associates and Affiliates. Should membership fees not be paid as stipulated, LCCI reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership. Membership shall be granted subject to approval of the LCCI Management Board in the first instance and then ratified by the Executive Board of LCCI. It is the member's responsibility to inform LCCI in writing of any changes of a member s address, telephone numbers, staff changes, and any other information that may be of value to the member s business and LCCI. Members may use the LCCI logo or of the district of that member s business location, to indicate membership of the Chamber. However, LCCI as an association shall not be responsible for the quality of service or endorsement of any product of the concerned member. Permission to use the logo must be requested from LCCI or the District Committee of the member, which must be informed of and approve all uses of the logo.

Members shall be issued with certificates of identity of the membership of LCCI. Members are required to sign and adhere to LCCI s Code of Business Ethics. Membership Fee Structure: Category A: Ordinary Member: M200.00 Category B: Associates : M5000.00 Category C: Affiliates : M1000.00 Note: These Fees are under consideration for a review since they have been on for several years. Members will be consulted before the final fees are agreed and set by the Executive Board and ratified by the Council. Code of Business Principles The Lesotho Chamber of Commerce and Industry, a National Business Association representing all its members throughout Lesotho, in keeping with its commitment to transparency and good governance, and as part of its ongoing fight against illegal trade and corruption has developed the following Code of Business Principles: We, the undersigned companies, legally registered in Lesotho hereby agree to: Conduct our business ethically and transparently, with openness and honesty. Respect the Constitution and laws of Lesotho; Uphold the fundamental Principles of human rights in dealing with the interests of our employees Respect the legitimate interests of our suppliers, contractors, partners and others with whom we have professional relationships. Be members of an association dedicated to good corporate governance. 1. Employment i. We are committed to the principles of the mutual fairness, respect and trust, and believe that all those involved in our workplace should contribute to the positive performance of the company, and to the protection and enhancement of its reputation. ii. We believe that the key to this relationship is good communication. We maintain an open channel of communication with employees. iii. The recruitment, employment, and promotion of those who work for us is undertaken solely on the basis of qualifications and abilities necessary for the position in question. iv. Our employees have the right to working conditions that are safe, and which do not

endanger their health. v. We do not promote the use of, nor do we use coerced or child labour. vi. We respect our employees individual rights and dignity, and in accordance with the Laws of Lesotho accord them the right to free association. vii. Our members shall strictly adhere to the HIV/AIDS policies and laws of Lesotho and shall, at all times, practice non-discriminatory HIV/AIDS work place policies and strategies. 2. Accountability: We are committed to respecting the financial requirements established under the Lesotho Laws, We therefore: i. Are registered a VAT paying company ii. Provide full VAT invoices to all customers iii. Pay company taxes iv. Import our goods using the correct legal channels and paying duties and obligation as required. v. Respect intellectual property rights. vi. Provide consistent quality of products or services vii. Provide accurately described, labeled and advertised goods and services. viii. Respect the rights of our clients and our shareholders. 3. The Community i. We are committed to being good corporate citizens and operating as an integral part of society. We strive to fulfill our responsibilities to the societies and communities in which we operate. ii. We cooperate with the Government through this cooperation to promote the development of legislation and regulations which may affect legitimate business interests iii. We therefore are responsible for ensuring that these principles are communicated to our employees, clients and partners, and that they are upheld in our daily operations. We accept this code in total and agree to submit controversies arising there under to settlement by voluntary agreement and within the disciplines of the Chamber. 1.
