International Admissions Application Instructions Send the following to SCS: 1. Application for Admission (Don t forget the essay!) 2. Original translated school transcript or grade reports for prior two years 3. Original translated bank financial statement from the person financially responsible for the student s tuition 4. Immunization Form (This may be turned in when the student arrives.) 5. Tuition Deposit Part A $500 USD (non-refundable) Note on fees: A local check, cashier s check or money order made payable to Solomon Christian School for Tuition Part A must be included with the application. If you are wiring the money, a bank wire fee of US $35.00 must be added to the total. SCS bank information for wire transfers is available on request. (To expedite the application process, the forms may be faxed or scanned and emailed to the school, but we must receive the original forms by mail.) When all forms and Tuition Deposit Part A ($500 USD) are received, you will be notified regarding your admission status. *Please refer to Part IV of this application for details about Tuition Deposit Part A. 2. If you are granted admission by SCS, you will be billed for either Tuition Package #1 (School & Dormitory/Homestay Package) $38,500 USD or Tuition Package # 2 (School Package ONLY; No Dormitory/Homestay) $28,000 USD. Tuition Deposit Part B ($5,000 USD) is due at this time. *Please refer to Part IV of this application for details about Tuition Deposit Part A or Part B. Please refer to Part III of this application for details about Tuition Packages. *Tuition Deposit Part A and Part B are credited directly towards your Tuition Balance. 3. Once payment for Tuition Deposit Part B has been received, SCS will send to you by express mail the SEVIS I-20 form, acceptance letter, tuition receipt, and other documents necessary for the F-1 visa application process and interview. 4. If the visa is denied, and you wish to withdraw your application, Tuition Deposit Part B will be refunded within 30 days. However, the original SEVIS I-20 form and other original documents that have been issued by SCS must be returned to the school before refunding your payment. If you wish to reapply for a F-1 visa, we will work with you until it is approved. 5. It is your responsibility to inform and update the school on the status of your visa application and your arrival information. Once the visa is obtained, you will receive detailed information regarding your dormitory or host family and a list of items to bring with you to the U.S.A. *The Tuition Balance is due within five business days after receiving your F-1 visa. (After 5 business days, a 5% late penalty will be added to your Tuition Balance. After 30 calendar days, SCS reserves the right to terminate your SEVIS I-20 if payment plans have not been arranged with the school.)

Tuition Deposit Part B: Upon acceptance, SCS will send the applicant s official acceptance documents and Tuition Balance invoice. At this time, Tuition Deposit Part B ($5,000 USD) must be paid in full before SCS can process and release the SEVIS I-20 documents to the applicant. Once Tuition Balance Part B is received, SCS will process the applicant s SEVIS I-20 and express mail the SEVIS I-20 and other official documents required for the F-1 Visa Interview to the applicant. Tuition Deposit Part B is fully credited towards the applicant s Tuition Balance. If the visa is denied, and the student wishes to withdraw his/her application, Tuition Deposit Part B will be refunded within 30 days. However, the original SEVIS I-20 form and other original documents that have been issued by SCS must be returned to the school before refunding payment. If a student wishes to re-apply for an F-1 visa, SCS will work with him or her until it is approved. No refunds are available to international applicants after their F-1 visa is approved. Tuition Balance: SCS will send the applicant s Tuition Balance with his or her Acceptance Letter. The applicant s total Tuition Balance is due within 5 business days of receiving his or her F-1 Visa. After 5 business days, a 5% late penalty will be added to the applicant s Tuition Balance. After 30 calendar days, SCS reserves the right to terminate the applicant s SEVIS I-20 if payment plans have not been arranged with SCS. I have read and fully understand the terms and conditions of this contract and agree to abide by them. Also, I understand that this obligates me financially for the years indicated in the Financial Contract, even in the event that my child is not physically attending Solomon Christian School.
