The City of Mishawaka has invested over 60 million dollars in developing and refurbishing its utilities and infrastructure facilities in an attempt to provide better, more efficient services to its citizens. Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion The city has invested 39 million dollars in an effort to update its wastewater treatment plant. The project is slated for completion in the next year. Neighborhood Initiatives Program This program consists of a coordinated effort to improve Mishawaka s neighborhoods. The Neighborhood Initiatives program has been instrumental in the installation of new sewer systems, curbs and sidewalks, and has spear-headed an effort to provide owner -occupied home rehabilitation and spotblight elimination throughout the city.
