OUR BUSINESS Easy Being Green; Is Australia s largest energy saving company Has helped over 800,000 Australians go solar or become more energy efficient Is Australian owned and operated company Has a national network of CEC accredited installers all with a minimum of 3 years experience in the solar industry. Administers rigorous product research and selection Has accredited system designers Offer 7 year workmanship warranty OUR WORK Easy Being Green s energy expertise extends well beyond simply helping our customers go solar. The Quadrangle Shopping Village located at Castlecrag on Sydney s North Shore is a great example of how we can help our customers move towards energy independence. Easy Being Green helped the Quadrangle Shopping Village slash their energy bills by 40% by installing a 10kW solar system on their roof and replacing their existing lighting with high quality energy saving LEDs. We are now working with Quadrangle to tackle the remainder of their bill by installing a second 10kW solar system taking the total installed capacity to 20 kw. In addition to saving energy, Quadrangle Shopping Village has been recognised as the first BetterVillage on the North Shore a special recognition awarded by the Better Business Partnership for the outstanding energy saving initiatives.

FAQs Do I still need the electricity from the mains? The solar panels work by soaking up the sunlight and transforming that energy into usable, renewable, clean, green energy. Obviously, at night where there is no sunlight, power from the grid or a generator will be required. What happens on cloudy days? The performance of the solar PV system is affected by cloud cover. When there is not enough light to produce electricity, you will use electricity from the grid. How much electricity does a solar PV system produce? Factors such as the positioning of the panels, location and panel exposure to the sun will affect how much energy your solar system can produce. The table below produces an average daily system output calculated by the Clean Energy Council. Average Daily Producion City 1 kw system 1.5 kw system 2.0 kw system 3.0 kw system 4.0 kw system Adelaide 4.2 kwh 6.3 kwh 8.4 kwh 12.6 kwh 16.8 kwh Alice Springs 5.0 kwh 7.5 kwh 10.0 kwh 15.0 kwh 20.0 kwh Brisbane 4.2 kwh 6.3 kwh 8.4 kwh 12.6 kwh 16.8 kwh Cairns 4.2 kwh 6.3 kwh 8.4 kwh 12.6 kwh 16.8 kwh Canberra 4.3 kwh 6.45 kwh 8.6 kwh 12.9 kwh 17.2 kwh Darwin 4.4 kwh 6.6 kwh 8.8 kwh 13.2 kwh 17.6 kwh Hobart 3.5 kwh 5.25 kwh 7.0 kwh 10.5 kwh 14.0 kwh Melbourne 3.6 kwh 5.4 kwh 7.2 kwh 10.8 kwh 14.4 kwh Perth 4.4 kwh 6.6 kwh 8.8 kwh 13.2 kwh 17.6 kwh Sydney 3.9 kwh 5.85 kwh 7.8 kwh 11.7 kwh 15.6 kwh https://www.cleanenergycouncil.org.au
FAQs What components make up a system? The components of a solar PV system include; solar panels, an inverter, racking and wiring. The purpose of the Solar PV system is to provide your household or commercial property with free, renewable, clean, green energy. How does it work? Flat solar panels which convert energy produced from sunlight are fixed to the roof. The energy collected, direct current (DC), goes through to the inverter, which transforms the DC energy into alternating current (AC) electricity. In turn, this solar produced energy can be used for your needs such as lighting and operating electrical appliances. 1 Solar Panels 2 Inverter 3 Meter 4 Home Power & Appliances 5 The Grid Excess power (NET) unused in the home is fed to the grid 1 2 3 4 5 Solar Panels convert sunlight into DC electricity An inverter transforms DC electricity into 240V (suitable for your household appliances) A Net Meter records the amount of electricity generated by solar panels The electricity is ready for your Home Power & Appliances Surplus solar energy is fed into the main grid and credited to your account
FAQs Are there Feed In Tariffs? Generated electricity that you don t use is sold back to the grid. A feed in tariff is the amount you are paid, for unused electricity. The amount paid vary from state to state. The table below shows a summary of the rate available in each state.
