How to Use Your New Online Client Vault

I. Getting Into Your Vault How to Sign In To begin using our new client vault, you must first sign in. You can get to the log in page in three ways: 1. You can check your email Inbox for an email entitled ShareFile Login Information. That will contain both the link to the log in page and your temporary password (which you ll need to first log in). 2. You can go directly there by clicking on this link: https:// pinnacleadvisorygroup.sharefile.com/ 3. You can go to Pinnacle s website (www.pinnacleadvisory.com), find the CLIENTS tab on the menu bar in the upper right side of the screen, and click on that. Once you follow the link, you ll be taken to a page that looks like this: Enter your email address in the Email field, and your temporary password in the Password field (you ll find the password in an email sent to you entitled, ShareFile Login Information ). Then click Log In. 3
First Time Set Up The first time you log into your private vault, you ll be asked to choose a new password: Enter your first and last name, then your new password. After that, choose the correct time zone for your location, and select your preferred display format for time and day. Once you ve done that, click Save. (You will only have to go through this setup screen once.) 4
II. Finding Your Way Around Your Vault After logging into your vault, you ll be taken to a screen that has the name of your Wealth Manager at the top, as well as your own private client folder beneath that: Click on your folder to go to your main vault directory, which will look like this: There are five folders in your main vault directory: Billing Reports, Client Services, Financial Planning, Portfolio Reports, and Taxes. Here s a brief description of what you might find in each: Billing Reports: Here, your Operations Associate will upload your Billing Reports, which come out three times a year. Client Services: In this folder, you and your Operations Associate can place any documents that you need to share or deliver to one another (forms you may need to fill out, for example). 5
Financial Planning: Here, your Wealth Manager can place your financial plan, or any other documents or files related to planning. You can put any files here that you d like to share with your Wealth Manager, as well. your Portfolio Reports: In this folder, you ll find reports on the make-up and performance of investment portfolio. Taxes: Here you ll find documents relevant to your tax situation. To open any folder, simply click on its name. As an example, here s a look inside the Billings Reports folder. (This folder will fill up.) Managing Your Vault s Contents To open a file, click on the name. If you d prefer to download it to your computer, for printing or for later reading, click in the checkbox to the left of it, and then click the Download button. To rename a file, click the checkbox, then click the More Actions button, and select Edit. You ll then have the opportunity to choose a new name for the file. To move a file to a different folder, click the checkbox, then click the More Actions button, and select Move. You ll see a list of your folders on the right side of the screen. Select the folder to which you d like to move the file (it will turn yellow), and then click Move. Finally, if you want to delete a file, click the checkbox, then click the More Actions button, and select Delete. Creating New Folders 6
It s easy to create subfolders within the five main folders. Simply open the folder in which you d like to create a subfolder by clicking its name, and then click the Add Subfolder button. When the Add Folder window appears, enter the name of the folder you d like to create, and click Create Folder. Your new folder will now appear right where you created it. Changing Your Password You can change your password any time you like. Simply click on the My Settings link in the upper right corner of your screen (just under the Search window). That will bring you to the My Settings page Choose Change Password from the menu on the right, to bring up the Change Password window: Enter your old password, and then the password you d like to change it to. Enter the new password again in the Confirm Password window, and click Save. 7
III. Using Your Vault Your new client vault will not only be a place for your Operations Associate and Wealth Manager to place files and documents, but it also gives you the opportunity to upload files and leave notes for them. How to Upload Files To upload a file, open the folder in which you d like to leave the file by clicking on its name. Once you re inside the correct folder, click Upload Files. This window will open: You may then either drag the file (or files) you d like to upload into the DRAG FILES HERE window, or click the Choose Files button, select the file (or files) from your computer s directory, and click Open File. Once all the files you d like to upload are listed in the window, click Upload Files. 8
Leaving A Note You may occasionally want to leave a note in one of the folders for your Operations Associate or Wealth Manager, to ask a question or to explain a document you ve uploaded. Or maybe you want to leave a note for yourself, as a reminder (or for any other reason). To do so, open the folder in which you d like to create the note by clicking its name, and then click the Add Note button on the right side of the screen. That will bring up the Add Note window: Give the note a title, and then in the Details window, write your note. If you d like to email a notification to your Wealth Manager and Operations Associate, letting them know that you ve left a note for them, put a check in the Email users in this folder about the note box (if you re just leaving a note for yourself, leave that box unchecked). Then click Add, and your note will appear in the folder. 9
How to Create a Direct Link to a Folder If you d like to send your Wealth Manager or Operations Associate to a specific folder in your vault, you can create a direct link to it. Open the folder to which you d like to create the link by clicking on its name, and then click the Get Direct Link button on the right side of the screen. That will bring up the Direct Link window: The direct link to your folder will appear highlighted in yellow. Either select and copy it, or click the copy to clipboard link to the right, and then press Close. You may then paste the link into an email or other document, and send it to your Wealth Manager or Operations Associate. Once they click the link, they ll be taken directly to the folder you selected. 10
Adding Website Links to Your Vault You might want to add website links to to your vault, so that you can move quickly and easily between your vault and websites you visit often (a link to your Gmail account, or to pinnacleadvisory.com, for example). To do so, open the folder in which you d like the link to appear, and then click the Add URL button on the right side of the screen. That will bring up the Add URL window: Type in the Title you d like to give the link (this is the name that will appear in your folder), and then insert the website address in the URL field. Leave the Email users in this folder about the URL box unchecked (unless you want to email the link to your Wealth Manager and Operations Associate) and then click Add. Your link will appear in your folder. If you click it, the new website will open in another tab or window in your browser. 11
