1. Introduction The purpose of this document is to offer an installation guide for Housatonic Project Plan for PC product. Housatonic Project Plan for PC For your PC - Stand-alone, PC-based solution for create or edit project files. www.projectplan365.com Introduction 3
2. Workstation Requirements Minimum Processor 1GHz, 512 MB RAM and 850 MB free HDD for 32-bit or 2GB for 64-bit Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8 pro, Windows server 2003, Windows server 2008, Windows server 2012 Client.NET Framework 4 or higher www.projectplan365.com Workstation Requirements 4
3. Install After downloading the MSI Install Program (www.projectplancentral.com/download) follow these steps to install the Housatonic Project Plan for PC on your workstation. 1. Log on to your computer. Note: You must have administrative rights to install Housatonic Project Plan 365 for PC. You do not need admin rights to run the program. 2. In Windows Explorer locate the Housatonic Project Plan MSI install program. 3. Run ProjectPlan.msi and follow the onscreen instructions. 4. Click Finish to end the installation process. Custom install: 1. Log on to your computer. Note: You must have administrative rights to install Housatonic Project Plan 365 for PC. You do not need admin rights to run the program. 2. Select Custom on install type dialog, and then choose what clouds features to be installed 5. Click Finish to end the installation process. Generic Silent install command: msiexec /i ProjectPlan.msi /q [KEY=REGISTRATION_KEY] [SEARCHMSP=1] [ALLUSERS=1] [ADDLOCAL=Feature1,..,FeatureN] For a Silent Installation of Housatonic Project Plan for PC follow these steps: 1. Locate the Install MSI Program (as above). 2. Open the Command Prompt Window. 3. Locate the directory where you copied the ProjectPlan.msi file. 4. Use the command msiexec /i ProjectPlan.msi /q KEY=license_key 5. Custom parameters that can be used when installing Housatonic Project Plan 365 for PC: www.projectplan365.com Install 5
SEARCHMSP=1 - keeps the Microsoft Project file association for.mpp and.mpt files ALLUSERS=1 - installs Housatonic Project Plan 365 for PC for all users that use the computer KEY=license_key - use entered license key to register Housatonic Project Plan 365 To install Project Plan 365 without any cloud integration: Use the command msiexec /I ProjectPlan.msi /q ADDLOCAL=ProjectPlan To install Project Plan 365 with selected clouds, list them comma separated (no spaces) in ADDLOCAL parameter Use the command msiexec /I ProjectPlan. msi /q ADDLOCAL=ProjectPlan,URL,ProjectServer,SharePoint,Box,Dropbox,OneDrive,GoogleDrive (this command will actually install all clouds) Example for installing integrations only to MS services: msiexec /I ProjectPlan.msi /q ADDLOCAL=ProjectPlan,ProjectServer,SharePoint,OneDrive Please note that ADDLOCAL is the standard msiexec parameter for installing features (so we ll be no confusion for sysadmins). www.projectplan365.com Install 6
4. Uninstall To Uninstall Housatonic Project Plan for PC To uninstall Housatonic open Start Control Panel Add Remove Programs. Select Housatonic Project Plan for PC then Remove. To uninstall silently: Use the command: msiexec /x ProjectPlan.msi /q www.projectplan365.com Uninstall 7
