2 ISS Management Trainee Programme Fast-forward your management career If you re ambitious and talented and have one foot planted firmly on the ground, you could be one of the young professionals we need for our ISS Nordic Management Trainee Programme (ISS MAP). We launched ISS MAP in 2013 with a single intention: to develop a pipeline of managers capable of leading the transformation of ISS from single service supplier to a provider of integrated facility service solutions. By this, we mean not only offering the excellent everyday services that make it easier to run a successful business, but also working as a strategic partner delivering consistent and seamlessly integrated solutions to customers around the globe. For that, we need people with a keen commercial mindset, strong communication skills and an unrelenting drive to guide our organisation towards its strategic goals. By the end of the 15-month training programme, you can expect a position as a key account manager or site manager. Ultimately, your career path should take you to a position as senior manager or director. It s an old tradition at ISS to work your way up through the operational side of the business. So, you shouldn t be afraid to get your hands dirty. From early on in the training, you ll find yourself learning The ISS Way as a member of our cleaning staff on the shop floor, before moving on to the roles of supervisor and service manager. This bottom-up experience is an essential part of the training journey, giving you the necessary grounding in ISS operations and culture that will make you a better manager. ISS MAP is an intensive programme, where we expect you to work hard starting with the demanding recruitment process. We are looking for the very best people to lead ISS Nordic into the future, and that means only a few applicants from each Nordic country make it through to the final selection. But, once you get there, you ll never look back. ISS MAP is your shortcut to a top management career.

4 ISS Management Trainee Programme The ISS MAP journey As an ISS MAP trainee, you will receive a thorough introduction to our business, starting with insights into the organisation at national, Nordic and global level. To build your understanding of the ISS culture at work, you will be fast-forwarded through a mini career in two tours of duty of our service organisation, the first in cleaning and the second in catering or property. A third tour of duty will focus on a selected segment, where you will complete a commercial and operational internship and manage a relevant project. Your personal development what s in it for you? Development of your leadership capabilities is a red thread throughout the programme. You will be allocated a personal mentor from the national management team who will act as your coach and sponsor within the organisation and support you in your personal development plan. At a number of Nordic workshops, you will have the opportunity to network and exchange best practice with fellow MAP trainees. In the last seven months of the programme, you will work as assistant manager to one of our key account managers in order to learn the key business tools we use at ISS to meet customer challenges. Here, your training will explore customer needs at strategic, tactical and operational level and the formulation of a coherent value proposition.

5 ISS MAP TRAINING ELEMENTS Introducing the company Your onboarding process will take you through a national introduction in your home country, a Nordic kick-off along with your fellow trainees, and a highlevel corporate introduction at global head office. The focus will be on becoming connected to key people and clearing the path for your entry in ISS. Understanding the Culture and the Business Through seven intense months, you will work your way up through our business to gain a unique understanding of our operational setup from line staff, through supervisory level to middle management. Reporting directly to a regional director, you will be fast-forwarded through a series of operational challenges that will provide essential insights into our culture and business. You will get your hands dirty and gain an understanding of the people who run our daily operations. Growing your KAM potential The last part of the programme focuses on how to manage our operational setup in a key account manager role. You will work on-site at one of our large Nordic key accounts as an assistant manager to the head of the contract. As such, you will be responsible for key projects, developing the account and strengthening the relationship with our customer. You will also complete an internship at our Nordic KAM office and a two-week exchange period, where you will experience how we run the same contract in one of the other Nordic countries. During this final stage, you will become a candidate for internal recruitment to a commercial manager role in ISS. First of all, you must have a business-related degree and relevant work experience, either from an internship or job during your studies or from a commercial position within, for example, account management, sales or consultancy. As a person, you enjoy a complex challenge and demonstrate the right analytical, decision-making and executive potential for supporting customers in their business development. Most importantly, you are able to balance your ambitious mindset with a respectful and empathetic attitude towards the people around you. You are also a strong communicator with the capability to enter a dialogue at all levels of the organisation and, above all, walk the talk. It was exactly the opportunity to move into a management role that I was looking for. I have been very happy with the training programme. It has given me a good insight into what the company is about and what it means to be an ISS manager. On completing the training, I went straight into a position as regional manager responsible for our complex cleaning contract at Oslo airport, where ISS employs 180 people. One of the greatest elements of ISS MAP is that everything is for real. We are driven into real projects where we have to deliver value while learning how to do it. I have strengthened my ability to take decisions without necessarily having all the knowledge and to minimise risks in my decision-making. Before the end of the programme, I was given the job of key account manager assigned to three customers. It is thanks to MAP that I am able to do the job I have today.
