Software Solutions Prolink offers an entire suite of software solutions to address and automate the data collection and quality analysis tasks performed throughout your organization. As depicted below, the collected data can then be shared at each level of your organization using our various software tools. The diagram and brief summary Enterprise Report Scheduler - ERS The Enterprise Report Scheduler provides high-level summary reporting at the factory or corporate level. Reports can be scheduled at regular intervals to compare the quality capability across departments, plants, and multiple locations. explains how each program fits into the big picture. Each color-coded level in the diagram has a corresponding colored data sheet providing the detail and key benefits of the product described. Management Corporate Enterprise Reporting SQL Enterprise Reports is our comprehensive statistical process control application designed to monitor, manage, analyze, and report the results of your inspection data right from your desktop. SPC Engineer Quality Office SPC Office Buddy Although is our main QA analysis tool, the SPC Office Buddy provides a fast and easy method of moving your data directly into Minitab, JMP, and Excel. Integrating with external programs allows employees to leverage existing software purchases and streamlines acceptance within your organization. Six Sigma Analysis / Excel On Demand SPC Reports File Server SPC OFFICE BUDDY QA Lab SPC Inspector QC-CALC Real-Time Written in 1983, QC-CALC Real-Time is at the heart of Prolink s software suite since it is the central hub of all data collection. This standalone program is required by most companies since it collects, analyzes, and reports the inspection results. Real-Time Trends Real-Time Reports QC-CALC Real-Time Process Engineer Reaction Plan Manager (RPM) This ground breaking software package provides productivity tools beyond SPC. It allows you to combine measurement data with engineering knowledge to produce very specific operator instructions used for machine adjustments. Enterprise Report Scheduler Introduction Key Benefits Enterprise Data Loader (EDL) Obtain entire factory capability in one report Schedule automatic reports or exports to run at regular intervals Receive your reports via email as attachments Compare Cpk values across machines, depts., plants, or anything you choose Run summary reports across trace fields such as cavity numbers Plot capability over time to see higher-level trends Compare plants against one another and identify the most capable plant Export the same results to a flattened table for ease of integration with other applications in your organization The Enterprise Report Scheduler (ERS) and Enterprise Data Loader (EDL) are two applications that work together to load your inspection data to a central SQL database and run high-level, scheduled reports for management. The primary purpose of EDL is to synchronize your individual QC-CALC databases with a centralized SQL database. It is designed to run unattended and alerts administrators via email when problems occur. Unlike a standard QC-CALC export, EDL synchronizes all changes in your QC-CALC databases including historical and 21 CFR Part 11 changes. Enterprise Report Scheduler (ERS) The reports generated by ERS are designed to provide a rolledup overview of the quality conditions within your plant or across plants. Rather than simply reporting on one part, you run reports that compare the capability of all features across all parts, cells, or even plants. The real strength of ERS is its ability to provide a top-down view of the overall quality within your factory. You create groups of individual parts and use these groups for analysis and reporting. The following is just a brief list of benefits: Common Network Diagram EDL loads SQL Corporate SQL QCC files stored on File Server ERS Reports from SQL QC-CALC Running on shop floor operation key How it Works Running the Enterprise Report Scheduler A simple view of the data movement and reporting is depicted in the diagram above. The data needed to create the ERS reports is sent by EDL, arrives through your networks, and is stored in a central SQL database. ERS uses this central database as its source of data. ERS can reside on any PC with access to the central database server where your results are saved. Queries are created and performed by ERS, eliminating the need to learn complex programming languages. The reports and exports are scheduled by you through the use of simple wizards. The sequence required to achieve your reports is as follows: 1. Parts are inspected 2. QC-CALC saves data to QCC files on your network 3. EDL periodically moves data to the SQL database 4. ERS queries the inspection results from SQL 5. Statistical math is performed and plots are created 6. The report is printed in PDF format 7. The PDF report is optionally emailed Just Measure Your Parts! Since data collection is automatic, the synchronization events in EDL are automatic, and the ERS reports are automatic, all that is left to do is measure parts and read your email!

Enterprise Report Scheduler Manual or Automatic Although ERS is used to generate automatic reports, you can manually interact with it to create reports and/or exports on demand. You can even run past reports if you need to clean the data and rerun outside the normal schedule. Report Types Currently, the available report types include: Process Capability Report Summary Report (all part types) Process Capability Report The Process Capability report shows the capability of individual features allowing you to see your best and worst performers at the part level. Analyze parts by feature using several cycling filters to show a grouped breakdown for comparison. The top example shows the trending of Cpk s over several months both in a table and in a line chart for a particular set of features. The example to the right compares the Cpk s of each feature by shift for all parts measured in the prior month. Summary of Process Capability Report The Summary of Process Capability report groups the Cpk s of all chosen features (including a breakout of specials or criticals) into three user-defined buckets according to value. This allows management to quickly see which parts are the worst performers both within the critical dimensions and overall. Pie charts under each grouping quickly show the breakdown visually. The bottom example shows a Summary report for the demo group with 26 overall features and 11 criticals. Aggregated Exporting ERS can automatically send the calculated values in the reports directly to an output table on the server eliminating the need for your IT department to become statisticians. This allows you to share the same results with other applications (such as an intranet site or other external reporting package) without the need to recalculate the statistics. Miscellaneous Software and Features 21 CFR Part 11 The control of inspection information as it applies to the medical industry is defined by FDA title 21 Code of Federal Regulations (21 CFR Part 11). QC-CALC s data collection, storage, and reporting adhere to this important standard. Although this option has seen an increase in use by industries other than medical, it can be disabled for industries not requiring such strict control. Part 11 Trackable Changes QC-CALC s password protected audit functionality automatically triggers when there are: Changes to the measured value Changes to the measure date or time Changes to the number of fails count Changes to the name of any factor (non-measurement trace field) Changes to the value of any factor (non-measurement trace field) Deletions/undeletions of individual points Deletions/undeletions of records (parts) Remeasurements of a part. Additions, removals, or display order changes of assignable causes Additions, removals, or display order changes of corrective actions Print actions of a signed report Part 11 LDAP QC-CALC optionally operates within your Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) system where all user accounts and passwords are stored at the company level and are administered by the IT department. Prolink Corporation 148 Eastern Blvd Glastonbury, CT 06033 Phone: 860.659.5928 Fax: 860.633.7309 Email: Sales@ProlinkSoftware.com www.prolinksoftware.com Distributed By: Administrative Tools Historically, QC-CALC has been used within an individual inspection machine as a single copy of software with individual settings. As modern inspection devices have been increasingly placed on the internal network, there is now a greater need to share the individual settings across multiple PCs. The Administrative Tool was created to do just that. It centrally controls the settings and privileges of the individual copies of QC-CALC running throughout the shop. Through the creation of groups, administrators can define which copies have access to the various settings and functionality in QC-CALC. These settings can easily be changed from any of the participating copies of QC-CALC with the use of an administrative password. Maintenance Plans Annual Maintenance Plans are optional maintenance agreements that you purchase with your products and are priced based on the amount of software you currently own. Maintenance Plans include both upgrades to our products as well as premium support via email, our website, or the phone. Upgrades While a Maintenance Plan is in effect, you are entitled to any number of FREE upgrades to your products. Upgrades are defined as changes to the major or minor version number and are enhancements to the software (i.e. switching from version 3.0 to 3.1 or from 3.0 to 4.0). Support While a Maintenance Plan is in effect, you receive premium support for all of your products including phone, email, and website support. Without a Maintenance Plan in effect, you may purchase premium support calls via our website. NOTE: Email and website support are always FREE regardless of whether or not you have a Maintenance Plan. QC-SORT This nonstatistical application is used in conjunction with QC-CALC Real-Time to quickly identify bad parts on a multiple-part inspection fixture. QC-Sort makes it easy for your operators to remove problem parts from the fixture by using color coded squares to identify the bad parts. QC- Sort is adjustable and easily configured to display the physical layout of your parts as they are fixtured. It does not matter how many features are inspected. If any feature on a part is out of specification, that part is considered a bad part. QC-Sort displays the corresponding rectangle for that part in red. All good parts are displayed in green.
