Quick Start Guide 1
Our easy to use guide will get you up and running in no time! The guide will assist you to: Validate bank numbers Validate ID numbers Access number tips Release funds to your bank Transfer amounts to other Sage Pay s Access your Invoices Access your statements Login 1. The Sage Pay system is internet based and can be accessed at https://www.merchant.sagepay.co.za. 2. Login details consist of a username, password and pin. When your Sage Pay is activated, each of the system users will be sent an email containing a link and username to personalise login details. 2
How to validate bank & ID numbers. Quick steps to validate bank & ID numbers: 2. From the sub menu on the side, select Tools -> Validate bank. 3. Complete the required fields and click on Check 4. A message is then displayed in red with the results of the validation. Note: Validating bank numbers checks to see if an is valid for a particular bank. The service does not determine whether the is open or closed or exists. For detailed information on branch codes and number tips, please select Account number Tips from the Tools menu. 2. From the sub menu on the side, select Tools -> Validate ID number. 3. Insert the ID number you want to validate and click on Check 4. A message is then displayed in red with the results of the validation. Note: Only South African ID numbers are validated which are 13 numeric characters. 3
How to access number tips & invoices. Quick steps to access number tips & invoices: 2. From the sub menu on the side, select Tools -> Account number tips. 3. A list of tips regarding number length, range, branch code and type is displayed. 1. Login to your Sage Pay 2. Select Services -> Account. 3. From the sub menu on the side, select Tools -> Reports. 4. Select Invoice in the sub menu. 5. Choose the invoice you would like to view from the available options. 6. Choose detailed or summarised. Notes: Should you wish to download your invoice please click on the download option and select the file format required 4
How to access your statement and release funds. Quick steps to access your statement and release funds: 1. Login to your Sage Pay 2. Select Services -> Account. 3. From the sub menu on the side, select Tools -> Reports. 4. Select Statement in the sub menu. 5. Choose the statement you would like to view from the available options. - Cash analysis - This month - Previous month - Date range 6. Download statements by selecting the download or CSV button. 1. Select Services -> Account from the dropdown menu. 2. Click the grey Account tab on the left hand side of the screen and select Manage Accounts. 3. Select Release Funds in the sub menu. 4. Here you will see your available balance that will be paid out to you. 5. Click on the green Release Funds button. 6. Funds are released to your bank linked to your Sage Pay profile. 5
How to process inter transfers 2. Click the grey Account tab on the left hand side of the screen and select Manage Accounts. 3. Select Inter transfer in the sub menu. 4. Insert the number of the receiving. 5. Insert the amount to be transferred. 6. Insert a reference for the receiving. 7. Select Transfer Funds. 6
