About Wordpress WordPress is a powerful semantic publishing platform, and it comes with a great set of features designed to make your experience as a publisher on the Internet as easy, pleasant and appealing as possible. We are proud to offer you a freely distributed, standards-compliant, fast, light and free content management system, with sensible default settings and features, and an extremely customizable core. There are many features that come standard with WordPress, however there are literally tens of thousands of plugins that extend what WordPress does, so the actual functionality is nearly limitless. You are also free to do whatever you like with the WordPress code, extend it or modify in any way or use it for commercial projects. Getting Started To login, go to http://slavisaristic.com/wordpress2 Please note: This will change once site is live. Click Login Enter login details to Wordpress Content Management System username: natalia password: n@talia2013 Note: For examples sake, we will use Natalia s User Name and Password. Further in this manual you will learn to add other users. Logged In After logging in you are on the main Administration Screen called the Dashboard. This is the brain behind your website. Here you can click and access all the features and modules provided by Wordpress. This is where the organization of your site begins. 3
You can view help instructions and tips about Wordpress on the right. You can also change the layout of the dashboard by clicking on Screen Options and for example choosing the number of columns the dashboard is made up of. You can drag and drop the different sections of the dashboard to suit you. 4
To edit or add a New Page To edit any page click on Pages tab on the left hand menu and then click the page you want to edit. You will now see a complete list of the pages where you can delete or hide pages if needed. If you rollover the page title you have the following options: Edit, Quick Edit, Trash, View 5
Once clicked on a page you can edit the content. Once you have finished, you can preview the changes or press Update to save the changes and upload to make live. The title of the page is in the first field at the top. To add a new page, click new page link on the left. When adding new page, enter title and content and then choose which section and what template the page should have. Again, preview or press update buttons to check and make page live. To edit or add a new Course, Trainer or Job Firstly click on Posts in the left hand menu bar. There you will see all posts which encompass Trainers, Jobs and Courses. To edit a post (Course, Trainer or Job) click on the link for the post and you will be able to edit any of the details, just like pages. As well as add, replace or delete the images that goes with that post. To add a new post (Course, Trainer or Job) click on the Add New button on the left hand menu bar: 6
You will see the usual page but with blank content. You need to add the title for what ever the post will be (Course name, Trainer name or Job title). And then add the content for that post. You will then need to select which category the post comes under. (Advice Article, Courses, Jobs, Trainers, Uncategorized) And you can also add the thumbnail image for that post. Now if you scroll down you will see three large sections: (Courses, Trainers or Jobs). This is an example for Trainers: 7
Be sure to fill these fields in depending on what the post is. If for a Trainer just fill in the Trainer form. Once complete, again you can click the Preview button or Publish button on the right to make the post live. To edit or add a new news feed to the News ticker on the homepage. Click Appearance on the left hand menu. Then click Evolution Themes Options In the main area you will see a form with three tabs: General, News and Homepage. Click on News the middle tab and here you can add a news item (1 Sentence) and insert the link if needed for which the news feed will link to. Click the save button at the bottom and the feed will be live on the homepage. See: 8

To add images to the site There are a number of ways to add images to the site. The best way is to click the Media tab on the left hand menu. Here you can view all the images already in the site library. Just click Add New on the menu and follow the instructions. You can upload or drag and drop multiple images which will get added to the Image library and you can use for the Posts or Pages. You can also delete images from here as well. 1
