Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) History American Association of Collegiate Registrar s and Admissions Officers (AACRAO) created Task Force in 1989 AACRAO, Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO) and National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) approached ANSI ASC X12 - ANSI ASC X12 approved Transaction Set 130 in 1992 for both K12 and Postsecondary Transcript AACRAO (SPEEDE support) & PESC (Postsecondary Electronic Standards Council est. 1997)

XML Schema Updates Education Records User Group (ERUG) work group led by the following Co-chairs: Tuan Ahn Do, San Francisco State University Bob Hewett, Edustructures/Pearson 1. Submit modifications to ERUG chairs 2. ERUG meets periodically to discuss 3. Schema modifications are made as necessary 4. Schema updated (if needed) and re-submitted to PESC 5. CCB reviews / PESC approves 6. Schema & Implementation Guide modifications are posted for public use
