Overview Program Institute 2013 International Summer School Entrepreneurship in China School of Management, Zhejiang University Time 15 th -29 th June, 2013 Language English Certificate Issued by the School of Management Features The theme of 2013 summer school is Entrepreneurship in China. During the summer school, SoM will provide a series of business-related lectures to give you an insight of Chinese business and economic features. You will be walking a lot around the world heritage the West Lake, and in famous local companies. You will be given a task throughout the program to be an entrepreneur in China, finding your business opportunity in this city. Moreover, language and cultural sessions will definitely give you a hands-on cultural experience. The City The place you are going to is a modern leisure city Hangzhou. It is located along southeast coast of China; Hangzhou is about 50min travel away from Shanghai by the high-speed train. Hangzhou, as the capital city, is the center of politics, economy, science, education, and culture of Zhejiang Province which is well known in China for its vibrant private economy, entrepreneurial flair and innovation. Hangzhou is also renowned as Paradise on Earth, Cultural State, Home of Silk, Home of Tea, and Town of Fish and Rice. It was once the capital city of China in Song Dynasty. The famous West Lake Cultural Landscape of Hangzhou was inscribed on UNESCO s World Heritage List in June, 2011. The University Founded in 1897 and initially known as Qiushi Academy, Zhejiang University is one of the China s oldest and most prestigious institutions of higher education, and is also the member of the C9 League (Consortium of top 9 universities in China). Located in the garden city of Hangzhou, Zhejiang University currently has five campuses (Zijingang, Yuquan, Xixi, Huajiachi, and Zhijiang), which occupies a total area of 450.5 hectares. Reputed as Cambridge of the East by Joseph Needham in China's modern history of higher education, Zhejiang University has been consistently ranked as among top 3 in the nation. The School The School of Management at Zhejiang University consists of five departments, namely, Management Science and Engineering, Business Administration, Accounting and Finance, Tourism Management, and Agricultural Economics and Management. The mission of the school is to advance management theories and methods for the sustainable social development. We are dedicated to cultivating global, innovative, entrepreneurial and responsible leaders who better the world. The School is a modern business school in the forefront of market economy with distinct disciplinary features, and a pool of talented faculty and students; it focuses on innovation and entrepreneurship in management research and practices. The school was the first in mainland China to gain AMBA accreditation in 2006, and obtained the AMBA Second Cycle Accreditation five years later. Then the school was awarded accreditation by EQUIS in 2012.

Admission Summer school time: 15 th -29 th June, 2013 Requirements: Business school students, students with basic business/economic knowledge. Application deadline: 10 th March, 2013 How to apply? Complete the Application Form and send it to: internationalsom@zju.edu.cn Fees: Registration & tuition: Free of charge. Travel expenses: At one s own expense. Accommodation on campus: Pay on arrival: around 200yuan/person/day, double room. Meals: At one s own expense: rechargeable card for campus cafeteria and supermarket.
