GENERAL a) Edinburgh Global Masters Scholarships - The University of Edinburgh will offer 40 Master's scholarships for postgraduate study in any subject offered by the University for the 2012-2013 academic session. Fifteen scholarships will have a value of 5,000 each, while a further twenty- five scholarships will have a value of 3,000 each. The value of each award will be up to 3,750 which will be deducted from the tuition fees of successful applicants. Applicants must be able to demonstrate that they are Scottish either by birth or descent (at least one parent born in Scotland) or that they have been continuously resident in Scotland for a period of at least three years for the purpose of secondary or tertiary education in Scotland. Please note that the closing date deadline is approx. 9 months prior to the student s programme starting usually in the December for students joining the following September.
