GOAL: To promote the Profession of Land Surveying and increase awareness among those considering the profession of the high standards & integrity of the Land Surveying Profession. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS Applicant must be working toward a four year degree in Surveying and Geomatics Sciences at Troy University and must have already completed two semesters. If at any point the student withdraws from the Surveying and Geomatics Sciences program, any remaining funds will be returned to the Alabama Society of Professional Land Surveyor s Scholarship Fund. Applicant must have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or better. Applicant must be a legal resident of the State of Alabama for the preceding 2 years. Applicant should have a genuine interest in Land Surveying in the State of Alabama as a profession. To be considered, applicants must submit the application form and a sealed transcript from Troy University. The Committee will consider all applicants who meet the specified requirements. The Committee will review the applications and recommend the top applicants to the Alabama Society of Professional Land Surveyors Continuing Education and Scholarship Committee for awards to be presented to the successful applicants. 1

AWARD OF SCHOLARSHIP AGREEMENT is hereby awarded a scholarship Name Amount to Troy University in Troy, Alabama for the surveying program for the semester. Upon acceptance of this scholarship, the recipient further agrees and understands: 1. That he/she must maintain a 2.5 GPA. 2. The scholarship is contingent on monies available. 3. A student must be a full-time student as defined by Troy University. 4. If the student withdraws from the Surveying and Geomatics Sciences program at Troy University, the student will return the scholarship money to the ASPLS Scholarship Fund.
