We were happy to celebrate the 91st year of the founding of our Republic. Just like the 2420 district rotarians, me and my secretary Nermin joined the walk on Republic Day. I would like to share with you the meaningful words of Ataturk about the Turkish women that carried weapons and ammunition to the warzone during the Independence War: Noone can claim that the women of another nation worked as hard as the Turkish women on the road to carry her people to victory and independence. On the 10th of november, I took my place on the line from Kadiköy to Bostanci, and at 9:05 stood with everyone for the moment of silence in memory of Ataturk. I remember our Ata with a great longing. Our Ataturk, your eyes light our path. On the 12th of november we visited Kader Mahkumlari Dernegi in Beylikduzu. Dear Gdb Asli Görgulu, my secretary Nermin and myself handed over the second hand clothes, books, and other things. I sincerely thank Tülin Bilenoğlu, Aynur Özcan, Emine Uzel, Lizet Manoah, Serap Ergani, Nermin Karaca for their donations and help. We read the letters of the inmates and we were very moved. We learned that their only communication with the outside world is via letters. Packages are being prepared according to the inmates wishes stated in their letters, and they are going to be sent to the prisons with a ceremony in December. We said goodbye, wishing to meet at other projects. At the 14th of November, we had a home gathering with the attendence of 12 members. We discussed projects, decided on responsibilities, and spoke about the trips. On 17th of November we visited the Kasev Elderly Care Home. The attendants were dear GDB. Aslı Görgülü, our accountant Şive Kayalıoğlu, our secretary Nermin Karaca, myself, and dear hairdresser Zuhal Arslan with six of her colleagues. The hair dressers fixed the hair of the elderly and trimmed their nails. We had a chance to chat with the elderly as well. The foundations president Mr. Kamil Çetin Oraler signed his books and gave it as presents to us. We made a donation of 1000 YTL in the name of our club. We treated the elderly to Turkish pastries börek and baklava that we had brought with ourselves. I d like to thank our hair dresser friends and all the members that took part in this event. We had a happy, emotional and intense day together.

We delivered the whole serie of the Portakal magazines and Arter Art Gallery exhibition books from our founding president Nurdan Kuran, 18 volume of New Caxton Encyclopedia that our dear Nermin s husband purchased from London, and the requested books from my and Aynur Özcan s personal libraries. I cannot describe our feelings when we smelled all the book smell in the library. The library was not ready to be opened yet, they were busy placing the books that are received in the right places. We left there with the pride of having finished yet another project. We made a donation of 50 YTL to Göztepe Kultur Dernegi that our friend Lizet is a member of. We paid the district fee for our club. Dear Berrin Toker went to Macedonia to join the Ataturk Bust opening at the 10th of November. Our next home meeting is going to be at the 10th of December at dear Melek s place. At the 16th of December the 3rd joined group clubs meeting is going to be held at Maçka ITU tesis. Our speaker is Dr. Prof. Şehnaz Karadeniz. At 18th of December we are going to visit Semiha Şakir Orphanage. On the 23rd of December our New Year s Party speaker is astrologist Öner Döşer. Our speaker guest: Bülent Demirdurak with his own words: I was born in Istanbul in 1956. I graduated from Galatasaray High School and Marmara University. I have been working as a tour guide and travel agencies in Turkey and various parts of the world since 1974. I have written 10 books that tell about my travel memories, a travel guide book called Türkiye Hakkında Çok Şey, Capadoccia tour guide, and tour guide books written about Turkey, Tunisia and Egypt for Corendon and Look Voyages that have been published in Dutch and French. The Turkey guide book that I ve been writing in English will also be published at the beginning of 2015. For 6 years, I ve been taking part in cultural travel programs on channel TRT1. Furthermore, I have 5 more books that are in the process of preparing about world travels. On the contrary, one might encounter unpredictable difficulties at any minute, and an expertise of human psychology and human relationships is a required knowledge.
