How Link can help Challenges facing the healthcare sector Many healthcare providers find it difficult to hire and retain skilled healthcare professionals, and this can have a negative effect on the quality of patient care. Advances in medical science have led to changes in care patterns, with a greater emphasis on the short-term care of more acutely sick patients using increasingly complex technology. These challenges, coupled with an ageing workforce in the US, for example, the current healthcare workforce is the oldest ever mean that all parts of the sector have to broaden their recruitment programs and reassess the contribution of qualified experienced international staff. Solving skill shortages The staff turnover rate for healthcare facilities is typically under 10% a year, but industry experts believe this figure may rise to more than 20% within a few years. In our experience, client recruitment programs generally meet around 80% of staffing needs, but, as staffing needs increase, it will become difficult to sustain this level. Link recognizes these challenges and aims to overcome them by working closely with clients to complement their own recruitment programs through focused and/or specialist programs for sourcing international staff. Partnerships Our programs are designed to complement and support, not replace, our clients recruitment programs. We understand that each of our clients has unique needs, so our staff work to develop tailored international recruitment programs that ensure a good candidate fit for organizations and facilities across the healthcare sector. Link usually takes responsibility for managing the entire personnel sourcing program, including advertising, screening, clinical assessment, interviewing, credentialing, education, immigration and integration, and acts as an ambassador for its clients when selecting the best candidates. The method of assignment is also tailored to suit our US and international clients, with International being mainly direct placements with a one-off fee to cover our recruitment and mobilization support services. On US assignments, there is the option for either direct placement or 2 3 year Contract assignments before moving to the client s direct employment with no placement fee. Through pre- and post-deployment clinical and personal support programs like Total Link Care, we help clients to sustain retention levels of more than 90%, which reduces turnover volume and staff replacement costs. Collectively, our partnership with clients delivers, reduced human resources and recruitment costs; lower staffing costs through international staff; and improved retention and patient care.

Recruitment programs Physicians Allied health Nurses Link has over 30 years of experience in the manpower industry and this enables us to screen and select the best possible candidates to meet our clients needs. We typically run international recruitment programs for one or more clients and, although Link s recruitment team manages these programs, our Clinical and Operations Management has the final say before client selection. We select Link professionals according to experience and alignment with the client s individual needs. During the selection process, we assess each candidate s suitability for a long-term or permanent overseas move, English proficiency and ability to settle in. Our physicians are trained either in the USA or other Western countries. Each physician is an experienced professional holding appropriate qualifications: board certified, consultant or specialist.
