30% FTA member discount! TITEL HOW DO YOU PLAN THE OPTIMAL TRANSPORT ROUTE? Anybody transporting goods has to keep an eye on routes, costs and time. PTV Map&Guide calculates the optimal route for you reliably and precisely. The transport route planner takes into consideration all of the relevant data in the process such as truck and hazardous goods restrictions, individual vehicle profiles and transport and toll costs and optimises the sequence of your stops. This saves detours, costs and time. Supplied by

PTV MAP&GUIDE YOUR ADVANTAGES AT A GLANCE TRUCK ROUTE CALCULATION Save costs with efficient truck route planning TOLL AND TRANSPORT COST CALCULATION Calculate profitably with an exact calculation of toll costs SEQUENCE AND TIME-SLOT OPTIMISATION Save time by optimising the sequence of your stop-off points CO 2 e CALCULATION OF EMISSIONS Increase your competitiveness with precise CO 2 e reports DISPLAY & CLASSIFICATION OF CUSTOMER DATA Exploit customer potential by visualising customer data ORDER AND CONTACT Phone: 08717 11 11 11 Email:sales@fta.co.uk www.shop.fta.co.uk

TRUCK ROUTE PLANNING Reach your destination quickly by avoiding unnecessary detours PTV Map&Guide calculates the optimal route for trucks, taking into account: Plan your route to maximise profits based on reliable data, and avoid unnecessary risks, delays and detours. Official truck and hazardous goods data throughout Europe, including: Restrictions in height, width, length, total weight and axle load Transit bans (e.g. > 3.5 t trailers and hazardous goods transports) Other restrictions, such as Residents only Permanent roadworks, long-term road closures and the latest traffic reports The prescribed driving and rest periods as well as remaining driving and shift times of drivers Personally customised blocked roads and weightings (not included in the functions of PTV Map&Guide internet) Individual preferences (e.g. Allow arrivals and departures in restricted zones or avoid ferries and toll roads) Alternative routes Low-emission zones A SPECIFIC EXAMPLE OF APPLICATION START/SAUNDBY WEST BURTON MARTON DESTINATION/DARLTON GREEN ROUTE / length: 10 miles / calculated with a standard route planner Restriction: in reality the route is not suitable for trucks, because there is a truck restriction at West Burton. The standard route planner does not take into account this restriction. ORANGE ROUTE / length: 22 miles / miles driven when the route is planned with a standard route planner Trucks cannot access the road from West Burton. In this scenario you have to drive all the way back to your starting point at Saundby and take the route via Marton. BLUE ROUTE / length: 17 miles / calculated by PTV Map&Guide PTV Map&Guide automatically takes into account truck restrictions, such as height and weight restrictions based on the specified vehicle profile. PTV Map&Guide recognises that the road from West Burton is restricted for trucks and, as a result, calculates the correct route for trucks from the very beginning. With PTV Map&Guide you save detours and operate profitably. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR YOU? Rather than driving 22 miles, which would have been the case with a standard route planner, with PTV Map&Guide you only drive 17 miles. With PTV Map&Guide you avoid making a 5 miles detour, saving both time and money. Calculate correctly from the very beginning and therefore avoid differences between the amount of miles planned and those driven. With PTV Map&Guide you calculate precisely and operate profitably.

TRANSPORT COST CALCULATION Effective for drawing up quotations and making business transactions with an exact calculation of costs PTV Map&Guide takes into account all expected costs, enabling you to plan precisely beforehand and smoothly process invoices: Calculate your transport costs precisely, avoid calculation errors and simplify the process of drawing up quotations and invoices. Regularly updated toll tariffs, future tariff changes or the introduction of new toll systems for many European countries, including tolls for trunk roads, motorways and special tolls, e.g. for tunnels, bridges and inner cities The software also takes into account surcharges for freight and for your individual costs, e.g. based on distance or stops. Time and costs due to additional time spent at stop-off points as well as driving time and breaks Save rates per mile based on the distance or your tariff-zone system to simplify the calculation of transport services

SEQUENCE OPTIMISATION Save time and maximise profits with sequence optimisation PTV Map&Guide plans the best possible sequence of stop-off points, including individual time slots, enabling you to call on more customers in less time: Calculation based on the miles that have to be covered and/or time slots during which the customers want deliveries to be made Takes into account opening times and time-slot systems for deliveries (to warehouses) Reduces waiting times at the ramp ROUTE 1 without sequence optimisation: Length: 1547 miles Driving time: 37 hours hours 4 BREMERHAVEN LONDON 1 DEN HAAG 2 3 ANTWERPEN 5 PARIS 6 ROUTE 2 with sequence optimisation: Length: 1306 miles Driving time: 32 hours BASEL 5 1 LONDON 3 ANTWERPEN 2 PARIS 6 Fulfil your customers expectations and delivery times and save time, routes and costs. BREMERHAVEN DEN HAAG 4 BASEL WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR YOU? At first glance the first route doesn t seem to be wrong. As you can see however, with PTV Map&Guide sequence optimisation, you can save 241 miles (a 16% economy) and 5 hours of driving time (a 14% economy) and, as a result, save money.

CO2e CALCULATION OF EMISSIONS Tap into new customer segments and secure a competitive advantage by calculating emissions PTV Map&Guide automatically displays all of the emissions for a calculated route: Depending on the vehicle configuration, its unladen weight, the load it is carrying and the road and traffic situation (gradients, road types, etc.), all relevant emissions (CO2e, air pollutants, greenhouse gases) are displayed Calculation possible according to the new European standard for calculating fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions for transport services DIN EN16258 Production of emissions reports for routes and trips Offsetting of CO2e emissions possible with myclimate Secure competitive advantages with precise CO2e reports Calculation of CO2 emissions based on the French decree 2011-1336, according to which a CO2 report has to be drawn up for all transports within, to and from France (from mid 2013) Possibility to calculate CO2e also for subcontractors VISUALISATION AND CLASSIFICATION OF CUSTOMER DATA Identify customer potential by visualising your customer data Exploit your customer data in PTV Map&Guide: Store your customer data, including data related to the delivery address (e.g. access to ramps, gates, etc.) and use it for your route planning Import of customer data in different formats Plan your routes based on customer data and regional priority areas for your marketing and sales activities. Categorisation of addresses, e.g. as A, B and C customers, turnover potential, display of customer data with different colours and symbols Find service areas, hotels, etc. with the proximity search function
