SFI USD/SGD Singapore Fixed Income Indices (SFI) Weekly Performance review for the week ending 15 August 2014: This week, the SFI remained unchanged. The equity market, as measured by the STI, gained 0.79%. YTD, the STI currently outperforms the SFI by 1.36% (+4.65% vs. +3.29%). Corporate bonds (SFI Corporate Bond Index) rose marginally (+0.20%). Conversely, government bonds (SFI Government Bond Index) declined (-0.14%). YTD, corporate bonds currently outperforms government bonds by 0.58% (3.65% vs. 3.07%). Corporate industrial bonds (SFI Industrial Bond Index) reached an all-time high (128.37) on Thursday, 14 August before closing the week at 128.36. The index is currently represented by 86 debt issuances the largest being an issuance by the SingTel Group Treasury with a market value of approximately S$640M maturing in 2020. YTD, the index is up 4.04%. YTD, 55 debt issuances have been added to the SFI Corporate Bond Index. The tenures of these issuances largely fell within 3 to 5 years (16 issuances) and 5 to 7 years (14 issuances).
