FRASERWAY RV CANADA TERMS & CONDITIONS 2015 All vehicles are automatic transmission and contain fridge, cooker (except for Van Conversion which features hob only), microwave (except for Truck Camper), sink, hot/cold pressurized water, shower & toilet, power steering, gasoline engine (except for Truck Camper which can be gasoline or diesel), Travel Kit containing maps and brochures. GOLD ALL-INCLUSIVE PACKAGE Our highly recommended Gold All-Inclusive Package also includes CDR (Collision Deductible Reducer for lower excess fees), unlimited mileage, preparation fee and convenience kits (including bedding, cooking equipment, crockery and cutlery, towels, instruction manual, campground directories, maps and more). Security Deposit Clients are required to leave a CA$750 security deposit on collection of the vehicle, using a major credit card (Visa, MasterCard or American Express). No cash or debit card rentals are permitted. The security deposit guarantee is valid only for the duration of the rental contract and will not appear on the client s credit card statement; therefore, it will not necessitate a refund. The security deposit capture is automatically released upon completion of the return contract provided that the rental vehicle is returned clean inside, undamaged and on time. In cases where the CDR Insurance is not purchased, Fraserway reserves the right to block the full amount of the deductible on the customer s credit card. The credit card holder must be present upon collection of the vehicle. Pick Up & Drop Off Vehicles can be collected at the depots Monday to Saturday between 9am and 3pm. Drop off is Monday to Saturday, 9am to 12noon (inspection ready). Sufficient time should be allowed for packing suitcases and cleaning vehicles. A penalty will be charged for overdue vehicles unless prior authorisation has been agreed. No refund for rentals returned prior to the arranged return date. An overnight stay in a hotel is required prior to driving the motorhome. Vehicle Orientation Clients will receive a full orientation of their motorhome, including client s maintenance and use responsibility. Orientation consists of a general overview of motorhome use and safety tips, as well as a personal walk-around of the vehicle with a qualified Fraserway instructor. Operator manuals are provided for clients to take with them. Additionally, clients receive from the rental station location maps with directions to nearest supermarket and gas stations. Driver s license requirements A valid driver s license from the country of residence is mandatory. All drivers must be 21 years or older, no maximum age limit. An international driver s license is not required but is recommended; only valid in conjunction with a national driver s license. There is no charge for additional drivers. Minimum Rental Period A minimum hire period of 7 days applies to all vehicles and locations.
INSURANCE FRASERWAY maintains basic liability coverage on all its rental vehicles to a maximum of CAD 5,000,000.00 for any bodily injury and property damage liability claims arising from the operation or use of its rental vehicles, provided all safety instructions as recommended by FRASERWAY have been followed. Premiums for this basic public liability coverage are included in all rental rates, which also include premiums for collision insurance and comprehensive insurance with a deductible of CAD 7,500.00 per occurrence. All coverage and waivers are subject to the express terms of this rental contract and of the applicable motor vehicle insurance contract. All insurance coverage is null and void if the terms of the rental agreement are breached. CDR COLLISION DEDUCTIBLE REDUCER A collision damage reducer is available for CA$25.00 per day to a maximum of CA$750.00 per rental (automatically included in Gold All Inclusive rates) and provides the following benefits: CDR coverage reduces the renter s responsibility for damages (including collision, windshield, break-in, theft) from CA$7,500.00 to CA$750.00 per occurrence CDR coverage will guarantee the renter a replacement vehicle when the renter s vehicle becomes undrivable due to damage, even if the renter is at fault. The replacement vehicle will be delivered to a location agreed upon by FRASERWAY and the renter and will be dispatched within 24-48 hours from the time the renter notifies FRASERWAY that the renter s vehicle has become undriveable. Delivery will be limited to a province/state, which borders on the province in which the renter took delivery of the renter s vehicle. FRASERWAY will not deliver C-Large, C-XLarge, or A-Luxury motorhomes to the Yukon, Northwest Territories and Alaska. Any expenses for accommodation, food etc are the renter s responsibility, if damage is the renter s fault In case the CDR Insurance is not purchased, Fraserway reserves the right to block the full deductible amount of $7,500.00 on the customer s credit card. Damages and deductibles are subject to applicable taxes CDR-Plus COLLISION DEDUCTIBLE REDUCER PLUS The CDR-Plus Insurance is available for an additional $12.00 per day. This reduces the renter s responsibility for damages covered by CDR insurance from $750 to $0 (zero). (Some exceptions apply, please see table below for details). This policy is only available in conjunction with the CDR Insurance. RENTER S RESPONSIBILITY CONTD. All damages must be reported to Fraserway as soon as possible. ** Result of vehicle malfunction consequent of deliberate and/or wilful damage caused by an undetermined person or persons, and in accordance with the Rental Agreement signed by the renter. Travel Restrictions The vehicle must not be left unattended in the cities of Montreal, Quebec, Ottawa or New York. Failure to comply will void the insurance coverage and make the renter liable in case of theft and/or damages. Travel into Mexico is prohibited. Travel in Death Valley, California, is prohibited 01 Jun-31 Aug. Non-public roads and off-road driving is prohibited at all times. The following Northern roads are prohibited: o o Yukon: Canol Road, North of Ross River; Aishihik Lake Road; Road between Dease Lake and Telegraph Creek Alaska: Dalton Highway (Hwy 11), between Coldfoot and Prudhoe Bay; McCarthy Road, between Chitina and McCarthy Traveling to the Yukon, NWT, Nunavut or Alaska IS permitted, if disclosed in advance. In the event of an accident, FRASERWAY will retain the security deposit until the motor vehicle insurance company determines liability for the accident. If the motor vehicle insurance company notifies FRASERWAY that the renter is not at fault, FRASERWAY agrees to reimburse the security deposit immediately after receiving notification from the motor vehicle insurance company. Taxes All charges are subject to Federal and Provincial taxes. The departure city determines the amount of tax due on one-way rentals. Taxes are subject to change. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Cleaning of Vehicles All vehicles must be clean inside when returned. This includes kitchen, bathroom and living areas. A charge of $40 per hour for cleaning will be applied for those vehicles returned in an unsatisfactory state. Vehicle holding tanks requiring dumping by Fraserway staff will result in a $25 service charge. Outside washing is not required (except when returning to the Whitehorse Station, where it is mandatory), unless the check-in procedure cannot be performed due to dirt on the vehicle. We recommend that Northern Travellers wash the vehicle prior to returning it to avoid potential delays upon drop off. Smoking is not permitted in any vehicle. Fraserway reserves the right to charge an additional cleaning fee of $200 if a vehicle is returned smelling of smoke. Fuel The vehicles are provided with a full tank of gasoline (or diesel) and must be returned with a full tank. Roadside Assistance You will be provided with comprehensive details and emergency contact numbers on collection of your rental vehicle, including advice on what to do in the event of a breakdown or accident. Refund/Repairs All replacement parts or repairs in excess of $50.00 require prior authorisation from Fraserway RV. Please note that refunds can only be made upon presentation of a proper receipt. Malfunctions of airconditioning and microwaves etc are not considered breakdowns and no compensation will be given. Maintenance and Use Responsibility Client is responsible for routine maintenance while traveling (coolant, oil, tyre pressure), as well as immediately reporting any mechanical failures. Clients may be held responsible for mechanical damage due to negligence in operation and /or in performing normal maintenance. Tools for vehicle repair are not provided as clients are not authorised to make repairs. Traffic Violations The renter of the vehicle will be responsible for all toll charges and any fines resulting from traffic violations (including parking tickets) during the time of the rental. As a courtesy, Fraserway will ensure that tickets and fines are paid in timely fashion if the renter provides the ticket and payment. For any tickets, fines or tolls that are processed after completion of the rental agreement, Fraserway reserves the right to charge an administration fee of up to $25.00 in addition to the amount of the charges and/or fine and associated costs. All fees will be charged to the renter s credit card and the renter will be notified by e-mail or mail. Customers are encouraged to inform Fraserway of any potential toll charges or fines upon drop off to avoid the administration fee. Suitcase Storage Fraserway RV Rentals offers free storage of luggage at owner s risk. Lost Items Fraserway RV is not responsible for items left in the motorhome after client s return and reserves the right to donate or dispose of them. Left items cannot be mailed to client.
MOTORHOME FLEET INFORMATION Vehicle Specifications Motorhome photos, drawings and floor plans provided are examples only. Sleeping capacities do not mean like number of adults or full-size teenagers can be accommodated comfortably; a slightly larger capacity than required is recommended for maximum space and comfort if all travellers are adults. The features, bed sizes and amenities listed are representative and may be changed, added to or deleted without notice. Specific floor plans or models will vary within a category and cannot be reserved or guaranteed. Substitutions We make every effort to provide the clients with the model reserved. However, Fraserway RV reserves the right to substitute models which are similar, higher rated or longer as necessary. No refunds for any reason (additional fuel consumption, ferry charges or campground fees, etc.) will be given due to increased length or size of motor home substituted. Should a smaller or lower rated vehicle be offered and accepted, liability will be limited to a refund of the price difference between the model booked and paid for and the model received.
