ARTICULATION AGREEMENT between Bergen Community College (Associate in Science in Criminal Justice) and John Jay College of Criminal Justice, C.U.N.Y. (Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice) PROVISIONS: 1. To be admitted to John Jay College of Criminal Justice under the terms of this agreement, a Bergen Community College transfer student must satisfy the requirements for the Associate in Science (A.S.) in Criminal Justice described in this document. Only after receiving his or her diploma from Bergen Community College may the student enroll at John Jay with junior status. 2. John Jay College requires transfers to have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 based on the total number of credits attempted or completed. As students may only graduate from Bergen Community College if their cumulative GPA is at least 2.0, it follows that all students earning the A.S. in Criminal Justice will meet John Jay s general GPA admission standard.. John Jay College will accept up to sixty-eight (68) semester hours of academic credit toward fulfillment of the bachelor s degree. 4. Courses are considered individually and only those courses for which the student has received a grade of C or better are transferable. 5. Students enrolling at John Jay College with the Associate s degree must take the CUNY proficiency Examination during their first semester at CUNY. 6. Transfers from Bergen Community College will be eligible for appropriate scholarship opportunities at John Jay College. 7. This agreement shall remain in effect until modified by mutual consent or altered one year after receipt of written intention by either party. Dr. G.
