We look forward to learning more about you and working with you this summer. The leadership training program is divided into three components, when applying please choose the appropriate program. Leader In Training (LIT) LIT s learn the basics of leadership while still being able to enjoy a variety of specialty areas such as swim, archer, etc. LIT is a 3 week commitment once per summer for youth entering grades 7 th and 8 th. Counselor In Training (CIT) The CIT program takes the leadership experience to the next level. CIT s learn about youth development, facilitation skills and work with camper groups and program specialists. CIT is a 6 week commitment, the first being mandatory for youth entering grades 9 th or 10 th. Cadet Cadets are volunteer leaders who are held to the same standards and are trained the same as our camp staff. Cadet is an 8 week commitment with mandatory pre camp training sessions. Cadets must be entering grade 10 or will be 16 years of age prior to the next camp season. By design our leadership development programs are comprehensive and competitive, requiring commitment, endurance, willingness to learn, willingness to help others, the ability to accept direction and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of others. Please note that by participating you could gain meaningful skills, foster new friendships and potential job opportunities. However, program progression and employment opportunities are based on the performance of each LIT, CIT or Cadet. All applicants must interview for and be accepted into the program prior to registration. This summer will be full of fun, excitement and learning. I look forward to receiving your application. Please don t hesitate to call or e mail if you have any questions.
