Program name business administration Direction: 02 business administration Educational program Type/Model academic/major specialty and independent components Awarded qualification: Bachelor of Business Administration (Israel National Diploma in Business Administration) Scope of the program by credits and duration 240 credits are required for achievement academic degree, one credit equals 25 Astronomic hours, duration of one semester 21 weeks, student acquires 30 credits during 1 semester, total duration of the program 4 years (8 semesters, 168 weeks). Learning language: Georgian (part of learning courses are also taught in the English Language) Background for admission to educational program: a) Interbusiness Academy business administration student of bachelor program can be a person of a full general education who has e relevant document (certificate) confirmed by the state or other equivalent document, and with the right obtained on the basis of national examination results; b) foreign citizens will be admitted without national examinations according to the rules established by legislation; c) minimum competency level is required to be passed in the English language for entering the bachelor program of Interbusiness Academy business administration. Within the program since the first semester students are offered base subject of business administration direction Bachelor program structure 240 ECTS credits, required for awarding bachelor academic degree of business administration within the business administration bachelor program, are distributed in the following way: 49 (ECTS) credits compulsory general education courses, including 30 credits for teaching the English language 74 (ECTS) credits are for business administration compulsory basic courses.

Within 82 (ECTS) credits the student learns business administration major courses, among them 10 credits are for seminar and project implementation in business administration. 25 (ECTS) credits business administration optional courses 10 (ECTS) credits independent courses which are selected by student from another bachelor program. (The present bachelor program is dual educational program which is implemented on the base of Interbusiness Academy and Ariel state university of Israel. Acquiring 160 credits is done on the base of Interbusiness Academy, teaching the English language is focused as since the sixth semester students will take 80 credits in Ariel University in the English language, also within 160 credits several subjects are taught in the English language and after graduating the program and implementing the project in business administration students will take national diploma of bachelor of Ariel University in business administration). Those students, who are not able to continue learning in Ariel University of Israel, will do the bachelor thesis in Interbusiness Academy and will take the bachelor diploma in business administration. Actuality and Strengths of the program 1. The present program is joint and implemented on the base of Interbusiness Academy and Ariel State University of Israel. Ariel University is one of the advanced high schools in Israel, leading university in the field of business education in the world market. 2. The educational program has a high university level which supports formation of systemic thinking and developing independence skills during decision making and analysis. 3. This program ensures preparing competitive specialists integrating in international educational field. 4. Professors participating in both Georgian and foreign components are leading specialists in the field of business administration and economics, authors of cases and textbooks, with great practical and theoretical experience in the aspect of internationalization. 5. The program aims to develop leadership and managerial skills in students. Workshops, business games and project in business administration provide an opportunity to strengthen and to apply the acquired knowledge and skills.

6. Graduate of this program is given the opportunity for carrier and personal growth, moving to a new level and establishing business relations with foreign companies. 7. Interactive and proven teaching methods, local and global knowledge are applied in the program. Group (team) works, developing professional competences and possibilities are focused in the program. 8. The international aspect of the program supports developing intercultural competences and enhances employment perspective in national, as well as in international labor market. 9. Teaching and learning quality is monitored by Israel side. For this purpose monitoring service of international program is created in the Academy. One of the prerequisites for entering the program is to pass the English language from national examination foreign languages and passing the minimal competency level. The program provides the high level of teaching the English language with the scope of 30 credits from the first semester including the fifth semester and is finalized with teaching professional (business) English. The program goal The program goal is to prepare competitive specialists, who have extensive and general knowledge of the principles of market economy and management, are capable to manage the business in Georgia as well as in foreign countries, realize business ideas and innovations in various types of organizations. The program goal is to develop market oriented vision in students in the field of business and management, to obtain basic knowledge and skills in the main functional directions of business management, marketing, finance, human resource management, operations management, mastering the necessary analytical tool for solving business problems. During the study In Israel, Ariel university students will learn the basics of finance and pricing management theory, research methods, prepare a project, which will greatly increase their competitiveness in the Georgian market and prepare the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills for playing on the world market. The goal of Bachelor of Business Administration Program corresponds to the mission of Interbusiness Academy Ltd, who considers public interest and creating of competitive academic educational programs, which are oriented on the requirements of the labor market considering

world experience, developing and implementing of joint programs with appropriate Georgian and foreign educational institutions, training of qualified personnel, which will be adapted continuously to the labor market changing requirements. Evaluation of knowledge of student The evaluation of knowledge of students is performed by 100 points multi component system, which is stipulated by law of Georgia About Higher Education, rule of calculation by credits of Higher educational programs and the rule of evaluation defined by Interbusiness Academy and is determined at the end of the program. While evaluation all components, which reveal the quality of work of professional student are evaluated and certified. Each component of evaluation must be represented by description of the relevant system. For example, during practical studies the following will be tested: ability to perceive, completeness of processing the lecture topic, independent reasoning skills, discussion skills, etc. Certain number of points is assigned to each component of evaluation. Namely: 1. Activity on the duration of the program maximum 30 points (activity at lectures, involvement in the discussions, working in working group and working in small groups, practical trainings, presentations, written and oral home tasks, seminars, etc. criteria by choice of professional teacher). The level of knowledge of the issues of the delivered lectures, the completeness of processed literature, logical thinking, clear transmission of thoughts and reasoning skills, discussion skills, writing and etc. are being tested. 2. One interim exam maximum 30 points /interim exam is conducted in the written form and the following criteria are being tested: the level of knowledge of the issues of the delivered lectures, the completeness of the processed literature, logical thinking, clear transmission of thoughts and reasoning skills, discussion skills, writing and etc. 3. Final exam maximum 40 points, which is conducted at the final level of the program or in written form/by tickets or tests/, or written/oral form, or only oral form. The Lecturer shall determine the particular form of exam in view of the specific character of the subject. The following is evaluated at the final exam: the level of knowledge and understanding of lecture issues, completeness of the processed literature, logical thinking, skills of clear transmission of thoughts and reasoning skills, writing. At the final examination special attention should be paid to the skills of synthesis of knowledge and construction of new ideas. Maximum final point 100 points

Minimum final point 51 points The student, who will accumulate 51 points (11+40 points) taking into consideration the maximum score of interim evaluation and final exam, will be admitted to the final exam. The final exam shall be deemed passed, if the student receives evaluation above 50 %. Credits can be received after receipt of results, stipulated by syllabus, which is reflected by one of the positive evaluations received by professional student. 4) The system of evaluation allows: a) Five kinds of positive evaluation: a.a) (A) excellent 91% and more of maximum evaluation; a.b) (B) very good 81 90% of the maximum evaluation; a.c) (C) good 71 80% of maximum evaluation; a.d) (D) satisfactory 61 70% of maximum evaluation; a.e) (E) enough 51 60% of the maximum evaluation; b) Two kinds of negative evaluation: b.a) (FX) did not pass 41 50% of maximum evaluation, which means, that student requires more to work in order to pass the exam and is given a chance to take an additional exam once more; b.b) (F) failed 40% and less of maximum evaluation, which means, that the work conducted by student is not enough and he/she must study the subject once more. The results achieved by student should not be evaluated only once only on the basis of final exam. The evaluation must envisage: a) Interim evaluation; b) Final exam evaluation. The student has the right to take additional exam in the same semester. Interval between the final exam and conformable additional exam should be not less than within 10 days. Forms and methods of evaluation Different forms and methods of evaluation are used while teaching and with the objective of evaluation of academic performance of the student, which is given in detail in the syllabus of theoretical and practical format. Including: open/closed questions, theoretical questions, open and closed tests, written, oral and combined tests, presentation, etc.

Teaching methods Adequate methods of teaching and learning are selected by taking the results of studying into account. The high interactive methods are integrated with the classic lecture format. Group work, project development, presentation, homework and other similar forms of individual work, also integration of practical components are used while treating the separate components. Traditional teaching methods, also modern technologies of teaching are used in the frameworks of the program to the direction of business administration. All those support the output of theoretical and practical skills in industry. Using the theoretical teaching: Problem based learning (PBL) the mentioned teaching method uses raising problem as an initial stage of obtaining new knowledge and integration process; Heuristic method is based on a gradual solution of the tasks to be fulfilled by a student. These tasks are fulfilled by detection the facts independently and seeing the connections between them; Explanation method is based on discussing the given issue. Specific examples are brought while explaining the material, which is discussed in the frameworks of the issue in details. Using the mentioned method intensification (activation) of learning is carried out, which develops and stimulates the cognitive work in students, it makes them accustomed to the professional thinking. Using the mentioned method aims making student interested, creatively active and independent in the process of enlarging knowledge, etc. Brain storming this method supports creation and expression of more radically different ideas concerning the specific issue/problem in the frameworks of the specific theme. The mentioned method supports development of creative approach to problem. This method is effective in a large group of students and includes several main stages: a. Creative determination of the problem/issue; b. Jotting down (mainly on a board) the ideas around the issue without critics in a certain period of time; c. Selecting those ideas by exclusion, which are more close to the raised issue;

d. Determination of assessment criteria to establish conformity of idea with the goal of the research; e. Assessment of selected ideas by the pre defined criteria; f. Revealing the best means of treating the idea of having the highest evaluation as a raised problem. Induction, deduction, analysis and synthesis: a. Induction method of learning determines such form of any subject knowledge, when the direction of opinions are directed from private to specific, from facts to generalization. That means the process of transferring the material is carried out from specific to general; b. Deductive method of learning determines such form of knowledge transfer, which represents a logical process of revealing new knowledge on the basis of general knowledge. That means the process is carried out from general to specific; c. The method of analysis supports in breaking up the whole teaching material in parts. The process makes easy to highlight the certain details existed inside the problem. d. The method of synthesis means inverse procedure. That means making one whole from the certain issues by grouping them. This method supports development of skill seeing the problem as a whole; Explanation method is based on discussion around the given issue. The specific example is brought while transferring the material, which is discussed in details in the frameworks of the given theme; Method of working on a book; Method of written work means the following activities: making extractions and notes, thesis writing, performing abstract or essay. Case study this is a situation seminar, solving the situation tasks, discussing the specific situations, description, which needs practical solving. The given method provides concrete problem solving skills. This method facilitates the development of key competencies. Specific cases are discussed during the lecture together with the students, who will study the issue fully and thoroughly.

Using the practical learning (practical activities, working in groups, academic / industrial practice): Practical methods unites all those forms of learning, which develops practical skills to students. Here, the student individually fulfills the activities on the basis of the received knowledge, industrial practice; Discussion/debates it is one of the most popular methods of interactive learning. The process significantly enhances the quality of students' engagement in discussions and activeness. The discussion can turn into an argument. This process is not only the questions put by teacher. This method develops the skills of argument and justification of your opinion. Method of demonstration this method means presenting the information visually. It is very effective in terms of achieving results. In many cases it is better to transfer the material in an audio and visual way at the same time. Demonstrating the material can be carried out by teacher, as well as by a student. Collaborative work the students are divided into groups while learning with this method. They are given the study tasks. The group members work on the issue individually and at the same time they share their work to the other members. Function distribution is possible in the process of group work foreseen the raised task. This strategy provides maximal involvement of all students in the learning process; Role plays and situation games according to the scenario, the role plays give opportunity to students to see the issue from the various positions. It supports them in establishing the alternative view; role plays, as well as the discussion forms the skills of expressing opinions independently and protecting them in debates. Action oriented teaching it needs active involvement of a teacher and a student in the process of learning, where practical interpretation of the theoretical material gains the special meaning. Working in small groups this is one of the popular strategies, which gives opportunity to every student participate in work, develop collaboration and communication skills, namely active listening, expressing the general idea, conflict management. The main precondition for working in small groups is that student must possess certain knowledge and skills. Student is given enough time for the task. Project development this method gives opportunity to the participants to go far from the class in their minds and compile their projects in the form of presentation. The most important factor is the group or individual participants to have the opportunity to protect their own projects, highlight their benefits and find out other participants opinions. Other methods are also used together with this and integrating various knowledge, skills, techniques and technologies. View and discuss the video and audio materials. Using this method is possible on any stage of teaching, foreseeing its goals and subject. It cannot be used only as an additional material. 3 5 key questions should be put before showing the material, which will be the basis of discussion. Stopping and discussing of a specific part is also possible during the process. Later all material is summarized and conclusions are made. Feedback with the help of this method it is possible to find out the reactions of the participants concerning the issue to be discussed, also seeing the faults and virtues of teaching process and organization, result assessment. The participants are given opportunity to express their minds concerning the undertaken exercise, information block, specific day or issue. All opinions should be listened in silence, without any comment, question or discussion from teacher/trainer, as well as from the participants. The following are used from the specific methods of business administration: Practical exercises (experiential exercises), while performing of which, student models his/her activities in various aspects of business management. Analysis of specific business situations (case method) individually and in small groups (6 8 participants). Student studies formulation of problem and taking decisions; also generates important skills in communication between people, group work and leadership.

Working in small groups (team work), when students fulfill the practical tasks, discuss the specific business situations, prepare group projects and participate in business games. Such work provides mastering the role playing; teaches effective communication and sharing experiences to students, develops leadership skills. Business games have complex role by nature and are held by sharing the foreign practices, which supports deep perception and effective strengthening/mastering of special subjects. Employment sphere and study continuation Business Administration Bachelor's degree holders may hold positions in: the private sector, the Directorate of company, Operations Management, Logistics, sales and marketing, personnel, finance, management information systems, business in other functional areas; state and international organizations on the initial level on the management, including the company administration and hold the following positions: Purchasing Manager, sales manager, advertising manager, operations manager, project manager, credit manager, personnel manager, logistics manager, auditor, financial manager, marketing director, commercial director and etc. Graduate of Bachelor of Business Administration may enroll in the MBA Master's and / or other specialties. There is international programs monitoring service in Interbusiness Academy to control program implementation, which is managed by Ariel University Professor, Dr. Roma Iavich. The function of the monitoring service is to control intermediate, as well as final examinations and result analyzing, in case of necessity, implement additional measures, with agreement of Ariel University Heads, in the directions of teaching and training process quality improvement.
