INTENT TO TRANSFER FORM GPC/Georgia Tech Transfer Admission Guarantee (Students applying in Engineering majors need to satisfy the requirements of RETP. Contact the GPC RETP Advisor.) Terms of the guarantee: 1. Complete the Intent to Transfer Form, have it signed by a GPC TAG counselor and submitted to Georgia Perimeter College s Registrar at least two semesters before planning to transfer. 2. Submit the online Application for Undergraduate Admission to the Georgia Institute of Technology during that institution s application filing period for the intended term. Application materials should also include a positive recommendation from the TAG coordinator. 3. Complete, with C grades or better, the courses required for admission by the end of the semester preceding the term the student plans to transfer to the Georgia Institute of Technology. English Composition I & II, Calculus I & II, and required laboratory sciences by major (see GT website) should be completed two semesters prior to the intended term of transfer, corresponding to the Document Deadline as listed on GT website. 4. Complete at least 60 Georgia Tech transferable semester credits satisfying all areas of GPC s core curriculum with C grades or better in each course by the end of the term preceding transfer. 5. Of the minimum 60 semester hours, the final 30 must be completed at GPC. 6. Earn a cumulative GPA and combined math/science GPA of at least 3.00 for Georgia residents and 3.30 for non-georgia US residents and international students. Because admission to Biomedical Engineering, Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering is highly competitive, applicants to these programs must have a GPA of at least 3.30 for Georgia residents and 3.50 for non-georgia US residents and international students. Please see the Georgia Tech transfer admission website for specific GPA requirements. Page 1 of 3

Required Course Pattern: Completion of the core curriculum is required. You must earn a grade of C or better in each course: Area A: English 1101 and English 1102 and one math course from the following: Math 1001; Math 1111, Math 1113 (Precalculus) or Math 2431 (Calculus I). GPC Science or Math-based majors are required to take Math 1113 or Math 2431. (Georgia Tech admission will require for Math 2431.) Area B: Comm 1201 and 1 to 3 hrs from the following: Rsch 1203, Prsp 1010, or Foreign Language 1002 or higher. Area C: An English literature course and one humanities elective (Arts 1301 or Film 1010 or Humn 1301 or Humn 1303 or Humn 1305 or Musc 1301 or Musc 1303 or Phil 2010 or Phil 2020 or Phil 2030 or Phil 2040 or Reli 1301 or Thea 1301 or Foreign Language 1002 or higher). Area D: Choose 2 of the following for the appropriate GT major.
