Introducing Katun Dealer Fleet Management Version 3.0! EASIER TO NAVIGATE FASTER TO USE EASIER TO MANAGE ALERTS NEW ALERTS CLEARING OPTIONS EASIER TO USE ALERT PROFILES KDFM has been updated to version 3.0 and will feature an all new alerting system, designed to enhance the performance and accuracy of your device alerts. We are pleased to announce many new and exciting features that will increase the efficiency of your service and supply fulfillment needs. Some of these new features replace or change functionality, so you will notice some pretty big differences from the current alerting system EASIER TO NAVIGATE The Smart Alert Profiles link under the Device Management tab no longer exists. Instead there is now a new Alerting tab. The Smart Alerts tab on the Device Detail pages no longer exists. Instead use the Active Alerts and Alert History buttons at the top of the Device Details page. 1. Current Navigation for Alerts MORE ACCURATE CONSUMABLES ALERTS IMPROVED SERVICE & SITE MANAGEMENT 2. New Navigation for Alerts FASTER TO USE Instead of waiting for pages to load with lines and lines of items, each page will allow for up to 25 items, and will support paging. This will help to load your pages much more quickly when managing a great number of customers and sites. The alert profile list has a brand new search capability, allowing you to quickly find profiles that apply to specific dealers, customers or sites.

EASIER TO MANAGE ALERTS The Active Alerts page will allow you to search for active alerts. You can review alerts for your entire fleet, or drill down into a specific site to see what alerts are currently active. The Alert History page will allow you to search for alerts that were generated, even if the alert is no longer active. This may help to identify problem sites, or specific devices on a site that are generating recurring alerts. The Stale Summary page will allow you to see all stale data. You can view information on devices that have gone stale, or entire sites that are stale.

The Alert Detail page has been enhanced to include a printable view option. So if you receive an alert, and need a printout, the information will display and print in an easy to read format. The Device Alert History page will display devices with their alert history. This page is accessible from the Device Details page. If you have identified a troublesome device, this page will allow you to review an audit trail of the alerts the device has generated, even if the alerts are no longer active.

NEW ALERTS CLEARING OPTIONS You will now be able to configure an alert to automatically clear if the condition has not occurred for a designated number of hours. This is important for mitigating situations where the actions of users within a managed environment could cause device alerts to be improperly cleared and as a result duplicated. For example, users often remove toner cartridges to shake them, and then put them back in the device. In this circumstance the device can be tricked into clearing the alert temporarily. Setting the smart alert to clear only when the condition has not occurred for X hours will eliminate duplicate alerts that occur for what is actually the same condition. A new Manual Clear option will leave an alert active until someone logs into KDFM and manually clears the alert. This clearing option gives the user complete control over the clearing of alerts at the system level. For example, even if the device shows the alert condition as having been cleared, KDFM will not clear it without manual input. EASIER TO USE ALERT PROFILES We have made several improvements to existing alert conditions to help increase the accuracy and relevance of the alerts you receive, to help you manage your fleet more effectively. What we changed... The Service Alert profile type no longer exists. Its functionality has been replaced and enhanced with the Machine Alert condition type, which is described in the Alert Conditions section below. The Add a Contact drop down in the notification settings is now an easy-to-use searchable type-ahead field. When you begin typing in the search field, it will begin providing results. Alert profiles in which devices come from more than one distributor can no longer be created. Alert profiles in which devices come from multiple customers can no longer be created unless you have permissions to the common dealer/distributor. We ve improved the concept of Default profiles The Default Profile setting will no longer exist. Instead, we have made it much easier to create a profile for an entire site, customer or dealer! Previously you would have used a Default Profile, to which new devices were automatically added, or you could manually add existing devices to the profile. Now, you can simply create a profile and apply it to an entire site, customer or dealer. No device adding needed! Wait! What if I still need the alert to include specific devices? Don t worry. We added an option in the Profile to match on model. And, the model match functionality has been improved, so you can now match on an exact model, or a partial match on model name!

We ve also added a match on managed or unmanaged filter for profiles for non-device specific profiles. And you now also have the ability to easily enable or disable a profile! So, you can disable a profile to keep if from processing alerts, and then enable it again when you d like the alerting to resume. Previously, you would have had to delete the alert, and then recreate it if you needed it again. MORE ACCURATE CONSUMABLES ALERTS We have made several improvements to existing alert conditions to help increase the accuracy and relevance of the alerts you receive, to help you manage your fleet more effectively. Low Toner/No Toner Low Toner and No Toner condition types are now combined into one condition, Toner Low/Empty. The Low Toner condition previously always triggered a Low Toner alert when a toner level reached 20%. Now, you will be able to define at what percentage the alert will trigger. Toner Not Low A new Toner Not Low setting will allow you to define to what level a toner cartridge would have to return in order to clear a low toner alert. Consider the following example: A low toner alert is triggered when 20% toner is remaining. Someone shakes the cartridge, puts it back in the device. The level is now increased to 25%, the alert is automatically cleared. But the cartridge was not replaced! A few hours later, the cartridge is back at 20%, and a second alert is triggered. To circumvent additional alerts being generated, you will now be able to define at what level the cartridge needs to return before the alert is considered satisfied. If you have a Toner Not Low level of 50%, then a low toner alert will not be cleared unless the level returns to at least 50% remaining. Waste Toner Improvements The Waste Toner condition will now check for machine alert codes 1107 through 1110, if the device does not report waste toner levels. A new option to reverse the waste toner calculation will be available for devices that report waste toner levels in reverse. (eg 10% full vs 10% empty)

FOR MORE INFORMATION REGARDING KDFM VERSION 3.0, CONTACT YOUR KATUN REPRESENTATIVE TODAY! Other Consumables Alerts A new Other Consumables condition will allow you to select among non-toner consumables. Enhancements include the ability to define the level to notify at, and specify whether or not the condition should fall back to model duty cycle of no levels present. IMPROVED SERVICE & SITE MANAGEMENT Page Volumes Alerts You will now be able receive an alert if either, or both, mono or color page volumes have surpassed a limit during a specified time period. Stale Site Alerts Instead of being notified when individual devices go stale, you can now get an alert if an entire site has gone stale. The Stale Data notifications will be enhanced to provide one alert per site, instead of one giant alert that crosses multiple sites. This will help to reduce confusion as to which site the stale devices belong. MACHINE ALERTS Use Machine alerts to receive alerts on specific codes or severity levels. This alert will replace the Service Alert profile type in the current system. GROUPING ALERTS INTO A SINGLE NOTIFICATION Added a new ability to report alerts in a group, at a specified time of day. CLEANER ALERT INFORMATION Added a new option to allow control over whether or not previously existing conditions are added in alert notifications. Added the option to include the device life count in email notification. NO ALERT NOTIFICATION For managers who don t want to receive an alert notification, we have added a new None notification type. When this notification type is defined, the alerts are sent, but no notification is generated. The alerts can be viewed using the alert management pages in Facilities Manager. XML ALERT NOTIFICATIONS Alerts can be sent in XML format via: - Email - Web Service (to a provided URL) www.katun.com 14-02-6758 KDFM 3.0 2014 Katun Corporation
