They offer free access to all of the resources that clients need to conduct an effective job search. Resources include: computers with high speed Internet access, printer, fax machine, telephones, and photocopier; resource library containing trade magazines, newspapers, training and educational information; feedback regarding resumes and cover letters; labour market information; one-on-one job search support. Other services include assessment and referral, case management, referrals to Service Canada funded programmes and an outreach service for multi-barriered clients who may find it difficult to access this service in the traditional way. Employment Specialists visit clients at various community partners' centres for an assessment meeting. JFS offers counselling and play therapy for children and adolescents who are experiencing behavioural difficulties. All of the counsellors are capable of providing advocacy, teaching life skills such as parenting, coping with depression, anger management, assertiveness, stress reduction and selfesteem, as well as grieving, sexual abuse, separation and divorce mediation. These services are provided by supervised counsellors. Professional fees are below average and are negotiable.
