Christian Altmeyer Christian Altmeyer is Managing Director and head of BNY Mellon Legal Frankfurt. He is also a member of the Frankfurt Branch Management Committee of The Bank of New York Mellon SA/NV. Christian has extensive experience in custody business, collateral management, derivatives clearing business, investment law and of the Alternative Investment Fund Directive. Before taking over the position of Head of Legal in Frankfurt Christian worked in the legal department of BNY Mellon Service KAG where he covered the German investment law questions as well as the securities trading compliance aspects. Christian studied law at the University of Freiburg im Breisgau (Germany) and is admitted to Bar of Lawyers in Frankfurt. Michael Cyrus Michael Cyrus is Head of Short Term Products at Deka Bank. Short Term Product at Deka Bank encompasses Money Markets, FX and STIRT, Fixed Income Repo and Lending, as well as Equity Finance and Structured Collateralised Solutions. Before that Michael was Co-Head of Short Term Markets and Financing at RBS and Head of Credit Financing and Collateral Trading at Dresdner Bank. Michael has studied Economics at the University of Hamburg with an emphasis on Theoretical Models and Econometrics. Godfried De Vidts Godfried De Vidts was appointed Director of European Affairs for ICAP plc in 2006. He advises on European financial and political issues and leads ICAP s relationship with the European Commission and Parliament. In addition, he maintains regular contact with all of the European Central Banks and Treasuries. He works closely with ICAP s electronic and voice broking businesses on product development and other key issues across Europe. Harald Glander Harald Glander is a financial services and investment funds specialist and involved in transactional, advisory and regulatory work for financial institutions, asset managers and other businesses operating in the financial services sector. Harald studied law at the Freie Universität in Berlin and holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Cape Town and a PhD from the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn. Before joining Simmons & Simmons in 2011 as a partner, he worked in the financial services and investment funds department of another international law firm in Frankfurt and London. 2
Dr. Caroline Herkströter Dr. Caroline Herkströter is a banking lawyer based in Frankfurt. She focuses on bank regulation and investment law. Carsten Hiller Carsten Hiller is a Sales and Relationship Manager within Clearstream Banking's Global Securities Financing division. In this position he is responsible for covering German and Austrian clients for all services related to Securities Financing, Triparty Repo, Securities Lending, Collateral Management. Carsten has more than 12 years experience in the Securities Fanancing / Repo business and is the single point of contact for treasurers, money-market / repo / securities lending traders, collateral managers and middle- & back-office managers. Carsten has joined Clearstream Banking Frankfurt in 2009. Prior to this he was a Money Market and Repo trader at Dresdner Kleinwort in Frankfurt and London with focus on financing transactions and Central Bank liquidity solutions. He holds a degree (Diplom Betriebswirt FH) from the Frankfurt School of Finance. Steffen Jordan Steffen Jordan is Head of Equities at SEB AG in Frankfurt, leading the German Securities Finance as well as Equity Sales & Execution business. Prior to this appointment, Steffen headed the Securities Finance Team covering Lending, repo, collateral trading & Delta 1. Before joining SEB AG in 2006, Steffen was working at Dekabank where he helped to develp&boost the equity lending and financing business. In 2000, after a brief time at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, Steffen joined Goldman Sachs to set up the Frankfurt Stock Loan Trading Desk. He then accepted a role with Goldman Sachs London with the focus of establishing a Corporate and Convertible Bonds Repo Desk to expand the product offering for European Hedge Funds. Prior to that, Steffen held the position of Head of Desk for the German lending business at Paribas Frankfurt, the bank he joined in 1997 to start his career at the stock lending desk. Stefan Kaiser Director, Global Securities Lending Mr. Kaiser is a Director in the Securities Lending Group at BlackRock, responsible for managing the relationships with BlackRock s clients, consultants and fund boards in EMEA and initiating strategic projects for the Securities Lending Group. Before joining the Strategy Group Mr. Kaiser worked on the Securities Lending Trading Desk focusing on non-us Equities and Fixed Income. Dr Martin Krause Dr Martin Krause is a banking lawyer based in Frankfurt. Walter Kraushaar Former managing director and owner of FinTuition Ltd, Walter Kraushaar was managing director and head of short-term products at Dekabank from 2007 until 2010. Prior to that, he was global co-head of Short-Term Products Principal Trading and managing director at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein until 2005. There he was responsible for expanding the bank's Securities Financing and Prime Brokerage business. He joined DrKW in 1998 as head of Equity Finance and product head for Prime Brokerage, including stock lending and borrowing, equity repo, equity swaps and CFDs. Between 1996 and 1998, he held managerial positions in the areas of securities lending and equity finance at Deutsche Morgan Grenfell in London and at Sal Oppenheim Jr & Cie in Frankfurt. Laurence Marshall Chief Operating Officer Laurence is the Managing Director of EquiLend Europe, responsible for the company s operation and development in Europe. He has over 20 years experience in securities financing markets, 16 with UBS AG where he was a Managing Director in the Prime Services division. During this period he has established a very strong and diverse network of relationships together with an in depth knowledge of the marketplace. He has sat on a variety of market committees and he has previously served as Chairman of the Board of EquiLend Europe and the International Securities Lending Association (ISLA). Marcus Storr Marcus is Head of Hedge Funds at Feri and joined the company in 2005. Managing an eight people strong team he is responsible for the entire hedge fund portfolio management, strategy allocation and manager selection/due diligence. Additionally he is also responsible for Hedge Fund Operations/Reporting. Before joining Feri Marcus was Head of the Strategic Advisory Team at Sachsen LB in Leipzig / Germany reporting directly to the CEO. Arne Theia Arne Theia is a Managing Director at UniCredit's Corporates and Investment Banking. He is responsible for repo and collateral trading at UniCredit Bank Germany AG in Munich which is part of the UniCredit Group. In his role one major focus is to design funding and collateral solutions for UniCredit and its core customers. That includes fully automated B2C-processes. For more than 20 years Arne has been actively engaged in international securities financing and interest rate management. Arne is a member of the advisory board of Eurex Germany. Thomas Wissbach Senior Vice President, Clearing Initiatives, Eurex Clearing. Thomas Wissbach has been working in the financial services industry for over 20 years and has been in his current position working in the Clearing Initiatives area since 2008 and is responsible for Eurex Clearing's CCP service for Securities Lending. He joined Eurex Clearing from Deutsche Bank in Frankfurt where he was Head of Product Management within the Domestic Custody Services department.
