HARDWARE /SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS The Statistical Database System requires that you have a browser installed in your pc, preferably use Microsoft s Internet Explore browser, and access to the Internet via a dial-up modem, DSL etc. ONLINE QUERY To Access the ONLINE QUERY page click on the ONLINE QUERY menu. To retrieve data, identify the following query parameters: country, main topic/subject, years, and output data presentation. Select Countries Statistical Database System Parameter s Page

One or more countries may be selected. To select one country, double-click on country name. To select multiple countries hold down Ctrl key as each item is highlighted. To complete country selection, click on the down arrow key. Use down double arrow key to select all countries. To undo selection, use the up arrow key or the up double arrow key. Select Main topic/subjects

Use drop down list to view all available topics. Select one topic to display all subjects under the selected topic. To select one subject, double-click on subject name. To select multiple subjects hold down Ctrl key as each item is highlighted. To complete subject selection, click on the down arrow key. Use down double arrow key to select all subjects under the highlighted topic. To undo selection, use the up arrow key or the up double arrow key. Repeat main topic selection to retrieve more subjects under various topics. It is advised that the number of selected indicators should not exceed 350 in total. To search for a particular indicator type in the text in the data field

provided and click the search button. Select Years To select one year, double-click on specific year. To select multiple years hold down Ctrl key as each item is highlighted. To complete year selection, click on the down arrow key. Use down double arrow key to select all years. To undo selection, use the up arrow key or the up double arrow key.

Select Output Presentation By Country this is the default output data presentation. The country table view displays all available annual data for the selected topics for one country. Subjects are presented by main topic. By Subject for the specified subject, the output table displays available data across selected countries. By Time Series - displays all available annual, quarterly, or monthly data for the selected subject, by country. To clear all selected parameters, click on CLEAR. To retrieve data for selected parameters, click on SUBMIT. QUERY RESULTS Presentation layout: By Country

For the first country in the list, all available annual data for all selected topics are displayed. Subjects are grouped by main topic. To display selected subjects under one main topic only, select the desired topic in the Main Topic tab list. Use the Selected Countries tab to view available data for the next country in the list. By Subjects For the first subject in the Selected Subjects list, the output table displays available annual data across all selected countries. Use the Selected Subjects tab to view the available data for the next subject in the list.

By Time Series For the first country in the list, all available annual, quarterly, or monthly data for the selected subject are displayed. To view desired data frequency, click on appropriate box. Use the Selected Subjects tab to view available data for the next subject in the list. Use the Selected Countries tab to view available data for the next country in the list. OUTPUT FORMATS Retrieved data may be downloaded using two options: a printer-friendly version or a Comma Separated Value (CSV) file. Printer-friendly version click on to print the output.
