ACE CARDS BET SQUARE BANK INSURANCE NO MORE BETS FIGURE
DOUBLE FIGURE CARDS BANK BLACK-JACK TWENTY ONE BLACK NO MORE BETS BET COLUMN
BLACK-JACK What you need to know Each player plays against the Bank. Is played with English playing cards. Each card has its numerical value, except for the picture cards (J, Q, K) which are worth ten points and the Ace, which is worth one or eleven points, as the player chooses. How to play The aim of the game is to beat the Bank by getting 21 points or the closest number, but without going over this total. The best combination is with a Blackjack. This is with an Ace and a picture card or an Ace a 10 and must be made with the first two cards. To being with, each player makes the bet in his or her betting square. Once all the bets have been made, the Croupier says no va a más (no more bets). The Croupier then deals two cards face up to each player and one for the Bank, also face up. The players may ask for more cards up to 21 points or decide to stick. If they go over 21, they are bust and the Croupier will remove their bets. The Croupier then deals the Bank s card, being obliged to request a card if the hand has 16 points or less and sticking if it has 17 or more. All winning bets are paid 1x1 and Blackjack is paid 1.5x1. In the case of a draw with the Bank, the player neither wins nor loses. Types of bet Once the Croupier has dealt the cards, the players have the following options: Double: When the player has nine, ten or eleven points with the first two cards, they can double their bet and will only receive one more card. Double means increasing the initial bet by two. 18
Opening or playing two hands: If the player receives two cards of the same value, they may split into two or more independent games. For this, they must place a bet equal to the initial one for the second game. The number of cards that you can draw in each game is unlimited as long as it does not exceed 21. There is one exception: with two Aces, you can only draw one card in each game. When there are open games, Black-Jack cannot be reached, so 21 would be considered. Croupier Players Insurance: If the Croupier deals the first card for the Bank and it is an Ace, the players can insure themselves against a possible Blackjack placing on the Insurance line a sum of money that is maximum half their initial bet. If the Croupier makes Blackjack, the Bank will pay out double (2x1) what each player has bet on the Insurance. If Black-Jack is not reached, everything played in the insurance will be withdrawn. Betting in another player s square: A player can also bet on the cards of any other player at the table, as well as their own. To do so, they place their bet in the betting square of the chosen player, without exceeding the maximum bet per square, although the owner of the square must decide when to ask and when to stick. No more than 3 players per square are allowed, with preference given to seated players. 19

MINI PUNTO BANCO What you need to know Is a card game where you can bet in favour of the Bank (Banco) or their Point (Punto), trying to get nine points with two or three cards. There is also the chance to bet on Equal (Igualdad) or Draw (Empate), as well as Point or Bank. In this case, the winning bet pays out at 8x1. Mini Punto-Banco uses six French packs of 52 cards, half in one colour and half in another. The value of the cards corresponds to their numerical values, whereas picture cards and 10 have no value and count as zero. To calculate the points the tens are not taken into account; for example, 8+6=14=4. Firstly, the Croupier shuffles the cards and makes one of the players cut the stack. Once the cards have been placed in the Sabot or Shoe, the Croupier extracts a card and places it face 22
up and places as many cards out of the game as the number on the face-up card. The players then make their bets in the corresponding squares and bet on Point or Bank, as well as Equal or Draw. The Croupier then lays four cards face up on the table, the first and third (on the right) representing Point and the second and fourth (on the left) representing Bank. The winning option, i.e. Point or Bank, us the one that is closest to nine. If either gets eight or nine points with the first two cards then the hand is closed. In the case they have five or less, a third card must be dealt (see dealing table) and the option will win that is closest to nine. In the case of a draw between both options, the bets made on Equal or Draw win. DEALING TABLE POINT BANK HAVING HAVING ASKS IF POINT S 3rd CARD IS... TEXAS HOLD HEM POKER What you need to know The Texas Hold em is a circle game that sets various players against each other. It is played with the 52 cards of the complete English pack, which are: Ace, K, Q, J, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2. The Ace can be used as the smallest card in front of the 2, or as the highest, after the King. The game stars with a minimum of four players, a number that must be maintained throughout the game, and a maximum of ten. On request, a player can be only rest for two hands without losing his or her place at the table. The Casino Gaming Board sets the duration and limits of each game in advance, making this public to the players. In any case, the duration will be long enough for each player that starts the game to have the Hand a minimum of two times. At the beginning of each game, the Croupier will clearly signal who has the Hand with a round piece (Marker), playing it in front of the player. The Hand rotates every time new cards are dealt. How to play The aim is to get the highest possible (see page 28) hand using five cards out of the seven available in each hand: the two dealt by the Croupier to each player and the five common to everyone, lined up on the gaming table, to form a hand of five cards. The players may make up their combination of five cards with any of the seven cards available in each hand. In this case they can choose two, one or none of the cards they have been dealt and any of the cards on the table, making up a total of five cards. 30
Player The game stars with a minimum initial amount called the Stake or Resto, and Top-Ups or Reposiciones may be added if it runs out. The Casino fixes the amount. Before dealing the cards, the Hand player will make a bet called Small Blind. The first player located after the one with the Hand will make a bet called the Great Blind : - The Small Blind bet is half the minimum bet at the table. - The Great Blind bet is the same as the minimum bet at the table. Immediately afterwards, the Croupier deals out two cards face down to each player and then stars the First Round of betting. The first player to call is the one immediately after the player who has made the Great Blind. In this case the player may Withdraw Meet or Raise the bet. Once the First Round of Betting has finished, the Croupier will burn the first card of the stack and place three common cards face up on the table. In the Second, Third and Fourth (Last) Betting Rounds, the first to call becomes the Hand player. Once the Second and Third rounds are completed, the Croupier burns the first card from the stack and turns up the fourth; when the betting round has finished, the first card on the stack is burned and the fifth common card is turned face up on the table. In each betting round, these will be a minimum of the value of the pot, and a maximum of the other players, except for limit games, which use the maximums and minimums of the pot. 31
There is an unlimited number of bets in each betting round (until the bets are equalled), except in limit games, where only three raises can be made while more than two players are in the hand; if there are only two players, the number of bets or raises in unlimited, as in no limit games. Once the bets have been made, the cards are revealed, starting with the player who made the last, highest bet, and the Pot is paid to the winner or shared if there is more than one winning hand. The bets must be made clearly and immediately, without raising doubts as to the bet. Player Options In Circle Pokers, players have the following options: 1 Withdrawing from the game, when it s their turn making clear their intention by saying no voy (I m out) and placing their cards on the table, which the Croupier will remove without them being seen by anyone. 2 Passing, by saying paso when it is their turn to bet and deciding not to do so. Similarly, any player taking part may pass until another decides to bet, in which case the bet will have to be met or raised in order to continue in the game. 3 Meeting or equalling the bet by placing the Pot the same amount as the rest of the players. 4 Raising the bet by placing a higher bet in the Pot than any other player. Once the last round of betting has been completed, the Pot will be given to the best hand shown to the Croupier. In there are equal combinations, the Croupier will share out the Pot among the different players in proportion to their respective Stakes. 32
OMAHA POKER What you need to know Omaha Poker is a circle game that sets various players against each other. It is played with the 52 cards of the complete English pack, which are: Ace, K, Q, J, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2. The Ace can be used as the smallest in front of the 2, or as the highest, after the King. The game starts with a minimum of four players, a number that must be maintained throughout the game, and a maximum of ten. How to play The rules of Omaha Poker are the same as for Texas Hold em Poker, with the following variations: The Croupier deals four cards to each player. The aim is to get the highest hand possible, choosing two of the four cars dealt to each player and three of the five common cards placed on the table. 33
SYNTHETIC POKER What do you need to know Is played with cards but instead of the 52 cards in an English pack it is played with 28, using only the Ace, K, Q, J, 10, 9 and 8. The Ace can be played as the lowest card in front of the 8 or as the highest, after the King. There should be a minimum of four players, a number that must be maintained throughout the game, and a maximum of ten, playing at an oval table. The Casino Gaming Board sets the duration of each game in advance, making this public to the players. How to play The aim of the game is to get the highest possible combination of 5 cards. The players use five cards, two dealt by the Croupier and which they may not show, and three more out of the five cards that are common for all the players. The position for each player will be drawn, but if the game has already started, the Sector Head or equivalent will assign the position. The Croupier will then place a round piece, a Marker, 34
in front of the player who has the Hand and is responsible for starting the hand. This is started with a minimum initial amount called the Stake o Resto, and Top-Ups or Reposiciones may be added if it runs out. The minimum amount of the Stake and the Top-Ups is set by the Casino for each game. Once the Croupier ha shuffled the cards, the players must make a minimum be called the Ante, determined by the Casino. Immediately afterwards, the Croupier deals two cards face down to each player and uncovers the first of the five common cards. Then the first round of betting starts, initiated by the player who has the Hand. Once the bets have been made, the Croupier uncovers the second card. Then the second round of betting starts, opened by the player who made the highest bet, and so on until the Croupier turns up the fifth and last common card and the last round of betting starts. Possible combinations in order of value are the same as for Poker without discard (see page 28). 35
