Access multiple asset classes Investing all your savings in a single asset class is risky. Spreading risk across multiple asset classes can create a stronger foundation for building wealth over the long term. While investors are best served by expanding their opportunity set, it is difficult to know what to own and when to own it. Yesterday s best performing asset class may be tomorrow s worst. Multi-asset investing aims to navigate moving markets to help perform well across various environments. in one solution Investors may want to consider delegating these investment decisions to a team of experts with the skill and resources to analyse and compare investment opportunities on a global basis. Multi-asset funds provide access to a range of markets and opportunities in one solution. 4

Three reasons to consider the GS Wealthbuilder Multi-Asset Portfolios 1 Global Access to a wide range of investment opportunities across the globe. Selecting and sizing asset classes are key considerations when looking to achieve your investment goals. The Goldman Sachs Wealthbuilder Multi- Asset Portfolios can invest across all asset classes in order to effectively spread risk across different sources of return. The team has access to the broad GSAM investment platform which includes asset classes beyond traditional equities and bonds. 2 Dynamic Ability to navigate changing markets. Markets don t stand still. Having the resources to successfully capture opportunities and identify near-term risks is crucial in the management of any portfolio. We believe our nimble approach to investing provides us with the flexibility to account for changing market conditions. 3 Risk Managed Focused on delivering long-term returns. Taking risk is necessary to generate returns; we seek to identify, understand and size risk appropriately. We consider the potential losses associated with every investment we make, since an investor who loses 50% of their holdings requires a 100% gain just to get back to the initial amount invested. Financial investments carry a market risk. The value of assets in the portfolio is typically dictated by a number of factors, including the confidence levels of the market in which they are traded. 6 4 Whilst the name of the team responsible for fiduciary management at GSAM has changed over the course of the past several years, any historical references to this group of investment professionals who offer this service at GSAM is presented under the name of Global Portfolio Solutions. 5 Data as of March 2015.

Who are they managed by? The Wealthbuilder portfolio managers are part of Goldman Sachs Asset Management s multi-asset class investment team, Global Portfolio Solutions (GPS), which specialises in designing intelligent investment solutions for a diverse set of clients globally. The team consists of 90+ investment professionals with deep and varied backgrounds. GPS has two decades of experience managing multi-asset class portfolios and the group s senior investment professionals average 14 years of experience. 4 The team currently manages over $33 billion in assets. 5 7

Three solutions We appreciate that investors have different goals. Because we understand that, we offer a choice of three multi-asset portfolios, each of which is constructed to meet a different investment objective. You simply define your goals and we ll take it from there. The three GS Wealthbuilder Multi-Asset Portfolios offer different combinations of investments, across equities, fixed income and other asset classes. Growth Lower Return Higher Return Conservative Balanced Fixed Income Equity Other Lower Risk Higher Risk 8

The GS Wealthbuilder Multi-Asset Conservative Portfolio is designed for investors seeking to preserve wealth over the medium term The GS Wealthbuilder Multi-Asset Balanced Portfolio is designed for investors looking to enhance wealth over the medium to the long term The GS Wealthbuilder Multi-Asset Growth Portfolio is designed for investors willing to accept higher levels of risk to create wealth over the long term 9

At a glance: GS Wealthbuilder Multi-Asset Portfolios How do we invest? Three main sources of return in our investment process: Strategic Asset Allocation The Wealthbuilder portfolio managers select the long-term weights of asset classes Tactical Asset Allocation The Wealthbuilder portfolio managers make short- to medium-term overweights and underweights relative to the strategic asset allocation On-going risk management Security Selection Active selection of individual companies and issuers by security selection experts Financial investments carry an operational risk. Material losses to the portfolio may arise as a result of human error, system and/or process failures, inadequate procedures or controls. 10 6 Diversification does not protect an investor from market risk and does not ensure a profit. 7 Source: Bloomberg, Goldman Sachs & Co. Fixed Income Plot Tool, S&P. Plot Tool is a proprietary analytical tool and database representing developed and emerging markets including the US, Europe, Asia, and Latin America for their respective Fixed Income, Equity, Foreign Exchange, Commodities, and Credit Markets covering thousands of cash, forward, futures, options, and swap instruments. Plot tool houses over 20 years of economic data. Yearly Returns. As at 31-Dec-2014. Past performance does not guarantee future results, which may vary. 1. Strategic Asset Allocation. The investment process starts with selecting and sizing asset classes. The main aim of this stage is to spread risk among multiple sources of potential return ( Diversification ) and combine investments. 6 2. Tactical Asset Allocation. Market cycles drive materially different returns across asset classes. In 2014, Real Estate returned 22%, while US High Yield Bonds returned 2%. 7 As the market environment changes, the portfolio management team nimbly adjusts the portfolios holdings to capture shorter-term market opportunities across asset classes. 3. Security Selection. Once the asset allocation has been decided, the GSAM asset class specialists select which securities to invest in. Based in 33 locations around the world, the teams have the benefit of local presence to conduct research and gain local insights. 11
