DataDirector Getting Started LOGIN Log into the DataDirector website: https://www.achievedata.com/yourdistrictname User Name: New Password: Enter your User Name and Password o After login, you may need to select the site and level of access available: All Students: Access to all students at a site My Students: Access to students rostered to you o You may be prompted to change your password for security purposes. Passwords are case sensitive, cannot contain your username, and must be at least 6 characters long. GENERAL NAVIGATING Primary Navigation: The seven tabs across the top of the screen are the main navigation links; the tab will highlight when you enter a section Secondary Navigation: The left blue bar contains navigation links that allow you to perform various operations User Tip: Click the My Information link in the blue navigation bar, and make sure your email address is entered this will allow you to retrieve a lost password Blue Lettering: A link is generally represented by blue lettering Back Button: Typically, don t use your web browser s Back button at times this will log you out User Note: In particular applications, you will have to use the Back button, such as when you access certain HTML and PDF documents, e.g. the Exam Reports Homepage: There is no homepage within DataDirector navigate using the seven tabs and blue links Manual: Click the DataDirector Manual link in the blue navigation bar for detailed tutorials Navigating Notes:
ASSESSMENTS Overview: Assessments contains summary data of documents that you have access to or have created. Summary data includes scaled scores, raw scores, percentages, and proficiency levels. By clicking an assessment title, e.g. 2004-2005 CST English Language Arts, you can view available student data Assessments will default to a particular roster year. To view results for other years, click the Students (####-####) link. User Tip: Use the Assessments Selector to filter the list of assessments Assessments Notes: EXAMS Overview: Exams allows you to view existing exams in the system or to create new exams. Once an exam structure, answer key, and standard s links have been created, you can generate a variety of powerful item-analysis reports. To access exam results, click the Exams tab, click on a title, then click the title of the report of interest to you. This will only apply if data exists for the test and you have access, If available, to begin the exam creation process, click the Exams tab, then click Create a New Exam in the blue navigation bar Exams Notes:
REPORTS Overview: Reports allows you to view reports you have built, reports others have built and shared with you, and reports we have pre-built Reports is divided into three main sections: My Most Recent Reports Contains reports you have created Most Recent Shared Reports Contains reports other people have made and shared with you Most Recent Pre-Built Reports Offers colorful, robust reports that Achieve! Data Solutions has created User Tip: By clicking View All next to the My Most Reports or Most Recent Shared Reports sections, you can view all available reports Reports Notes: STANDARDS Overview: Standards allows you to instantly search all California standards by Keyword: Enter a word(s) into the blank box, then click Search Strand or Discipline: Select the discipline or strand, or both, then click Search Grade: Check the grade boxes to limit any search to a particular grade level Standards Notes:
COMMUNICATION Overview: Communication allows you to view all users who have access to DataDirector at your site, email those users, and/or view the School Profiler Report View Site Users: By clicking this link, a list of all site users and their level of access will appear View Details: By clicking this link, then clicking the HTML links at the bottom of the screen, you can access the School Profiler Report, which contains data from several state websites that are annually reported to the public User Tip: After clicking View Site Users, if you click the Email These Users link (not shown) in the blue navigation bar, you can email individuals or all people at your site Communication Notes STUDENTS Overview: Students allows you to search for a single student or group of students quickly and easily, and access their assessment, exam and demographic data By clicking a single box or any combination of boxes and clicking Go, a list of students will appear By typing a student name or ID number, you can access an individual student By clicking Teachers, Schedule or Transcripts (if available), you can search for students by class, course or grade criteria User Tip: Clicking a student name will take you to a student information detail screen where you can access individual test scores, demographic data, and more (not shown) Students Notes
PROGRAMS Overview: Programs allows you to create a student group and monitor their data over time, e.g intervention programs. Programs also enables teachers to get access to students whom are not on their rosters. Open an existing program by clicking the program title Start a new program by clicking Create a New Program in the blue navigation bar User Tip: Teachers can divide their students into various groups and track each group s data over time using the Create a New Program feature of DataDirector Programs Notes Additional Notes
