Natural evolution to working with SAP on enterprise mobility Early on, Arteria identified enterprise mobility as a key area in which to invest and began developing on the SAP NetWeaver Mobile component. As the product matured and their expertise grew, the team became very comfortable with how to integrate enterprise mobility solutions within SAP core applications. When SAP acquired Sybase, now an SAP company, Sybase Unwired Platform was a natural succession for migration and continuing investment. Discovering a market and codeveloping mobile apps When people from Arteria were in the field, educating customers about the SAP road map for enterprise mobility, they discovered a market to develop their own apps to enhance the mobile experience. With help from SAP, Arteria codeveloped several apps, taking only a little over 100 days to create them. Jain explains of Arteria s services, We can now offer a complete package, from platform to apps, for whoever wants to get started on the mobility journey. Arteria s mobile applications on the SAP Store include: approval tasks (mapprove), warehouse and depot transactions (mdepot), sales force automation and order management (msfa), and an inspection visit planner and result-recording application (minspection). Developing cross-industry and industry-specific mobile app Arteria started its journey toward enterprise mobility as part of the partner-delivered mobile applications (PadMA) program at SAP Co-Innovation Lab. The company is in the process of enrolling in the SAP Mobile Apps Partner program. This program provides a comprehensive set of enablement tools, benefits, and support that will help in developing, marketing, and selling mobile apps that meet the needs of SAP customers. Through this program, they will continue to codevelop cross-industry mobile applications and industry-specific mobile apps for consumer products, pharmaceuticals, and the public sector.
