May 23,2015 Desert Shores Racquet Club News Hello Neighbors, Happy Memorial Day Weekend! Has it only been a week since the election? Needless to say, we have hit the ground running and much has happened in a few days. Security The former security company, Elite PM, walked off the job effective May 16. Desert Shore's Courtesy Patrol (G4S) has been alerted to our situation and agreed to keep an eye on our perimeter when they are on patrol. A temporary agreement with G4S for manning our gate has been entered into effective Tuesday, May 26. A profile of our security needs is being developed to ensure we have proper security coverage of our community moving forward. An RFP is being developed and we plan on having bids to open at the next Board meeting. Landscaping The current landscaping company, Green Environmental has given notice. We are assessing the specific landscaping needs of our community and plan to have bids to consider at the next Board meeting. Vendors We have reached out to all vendors and have started reviewing all current contracts. We have already met with, or discussed current services including: Nevada Illumination handles all outdoor illumination needs. They have already addressed lighting in the pool area, the walkway between townhouse and patio homes, and have a plan for the Sail Club and boat docks. These services are part of the existing contract agreement. This is an ongoing project and we have made good progress already. May 23, 201 5 Desert Shores Racquet Club News Continued Second Saturdays Mark your calendar for a monthly "meet and greet" with neighbors. Bring Your Own Coffee to the Sail Club every second Saturday from 10:00 am to noon. We feel this is a wonderful way for neighbors to get to know one another and share information. Hope you can make it on June 13 for our first Second Saturday - BYOC. Committees We will be establishing a landscaping committee and security committee at our first board meeting. We are re-establishing the Neighborhood Watch program and are asking for volunteers to be Block Captains. If you are interested, let us know. Board Meetings We are looking forward to having regular, monthly meetings. Our next scheduled Board meeting will be Wednesday, June 24 at 6:00 pm. at the Sail Club. Save the date! Our management company, FCCMI will be sending out the official notice with the agenda. This newsletter will also be sent via US mail to all homeowners next week. We are grateful and excited for the opportunity to assist each of you in protecting, maintaining and preserving your home and investment. Mr. Sage Griffin will serve as your new Provisional CommWlity Association Manager.
