DITA is hoping to attract a wide range of people to the website to encourage use of public transport and consider how people can reduce their carbon footprint. You have been asked to develop a website to promote DITA and its services. It is hoped that the initial website will consist of seven pages and will rapidly expand. You have been asked to create a uniform appearance for all web pages by using a master format. The key information to include on the pages is as follows: General information Car sharing Carbon Off setting Notice board Partner organisations Transport details Branch details Contact details Additional information should be included with your work that identifies the sources and permissions for the images used. In particular, log any material needing copyright permission for it to be reproduced in the public domain. Your client has asked you to obtain permission from the copyright holders for any assets that were not created by you. You should contact the publisher or the company that released the copyright work in the first instance. Permission should be provided in writing and retained as evidence, for example, copies of emails requesting permission and the responses received. Your client will need to know that copyrighted work has been attributed correctly and that copyright laws have been followed. If you are unable to contact the copyright owner but a substantial effort has been made on your part to locate the owner, then you may still be able use the copyright work as intended with a suitable disclaimer.
