New Locations To Serve You! Even as more members move to electronic transactions, we still feel it s important for you to have locations and staff conveniently available. Being a part of the communities in which members live is also important. This year, we plan on expanding our branch network in the Edmond area. We have purchased property at the Southeast corner of 33rd and Santa Fe and plan to begin construction of a new full service location in the coming months. This branch will feature a multi-lane drive-thru, drive-up ATM, safe deposit boxes and Saturday drivethru hours. We will be relocating our Ardmore branch to expand service and better serve the residents of Southern Oklahoma. Communication Federal Credit Union has a community charter in Carter County with membership open to anyone who lives or works in the area. We believe this new location will increase visibility for the credit union and enable us to better serve our existing members and help us grow to serve more Carter County residents. This branch will again feature a multi-lane drive-thru, drive-up ATM and safe deposit boxes. Both of the new locations will have an inviting atmosphere and make it easier for members to conduct business. We will be working to further incorporate these elements to existing locations in the future. Watch for more information about these locations as the year progresses. We hope to have both locations open for members during 2011. BUDGETING FOR THE NEW YEAR Many of us make a New Year s resolution to keep better track of spending, have a savings goal or even resolutions that relate to making provisions for a new home, car or expanding family. Sometimes these resolutions seem almost impossible, but we ve come up with a few tips that can make financial resolutions a little easier. Tip 1: Be Reasonable with Your Goals Set a budget that is attainable. If your goals are reasonable, you ll be more likely to achieve them and not give up. Tip 2: Have You Thought About Refinancing? Have you thought about refinancing your home or vehicle to save money each month? Call the credit union and often we can refinance your loan from another lender. Tip 3: Alter Your Habits or Environment If coffee on your way to work is a temptation, change your route to avoid seeing your favorite stop. If shopping is a habit, find other activities to occupy your time, rather than going to the mall or shopping online. Tip 4: Don t Give Up Because of One Slip You might get off track one week or have an unexpected situation arise. Stick with your plan and readjust your goals if necessary. Tip 5: Involve Your Family and Friends It s easier if you have a group that can support each other and hold each other accountable for your goals. Tip 6: Consolidate Debt and Put Away Credit Cards Consolidating debt to one single payment can often lower the total amount you pay each month and make it easier to track expenses. Communication Federal members have saved over $500 each month by consolidating debt. Tip 7: Look for Discounts Look for money saving discounts. Look online for discount codes and coupons. Organizations such as AARP and AAA have negotiated discounts for members. Always be sure to ask! Tip 8: Average Your Monthly Bill Ask your utility providers about averaging your monthly bill. Averaging provides a more consistent expense each month and makes it easier to budget. annual meeting bingo party OKC Annual Meeting/Bingo Party Monday, March 21, 2011 @ 7 p.m. Moore Norman Technology Center, 13301 S.
