WE HAVE MONEY AVAILABLE FOR YOU DO YOUR PLANS FOR THE NEW YEAR INCLUDE a new car, home, debt consolidation or expanding your business? If so, remember to visit the credit union because we are here for all of your borrowing needs. Being here doesn t simply mean we have someone who can take your application. We re here to listen, discuss options, provide advice and work with you to find a solution for your need, whatever it might be. In addition to our many loan options, we have some of the best rates available. With our staff of lending professionals and streamlined lending process, we can typically have a loan decision for you within an hour when you apply during regular business hours. You can apply for a loan by calling or visiting any full service Communication Federal Credit Union branch or online 24 hours a day at comfedcu.org. We offer preapproval for auto, boat, RV, home equity and mortgage loans so that you know exactly how much you can spend before you buy. This gives you increased negotiating power and takes the stress out of having to obtain financing after you ve made a purchase decision. During 2011, Communication Federal will begin a new business lending program for credit union members. We ve had increasing requests for business lending over the past few years and we look forward to serving these needs in the near future. Everyone has seen the news about the difficulty of getting a loan, but Communication Federal has money to lend and we re glad to get it in the hands of our members! In fact, if you know a family member, friend or co-worker with a borrowing need, bring them to the credit union. Your relationship means something to us and we ll be glad to give others the same great service you ve come to know. Even if you ve had difficulty getting loans before, we want you to know that we welcome your application and will give each decision the same careful consideration. Thank you for making 2010 a great year for Communication Federal Credit Union. We hope that we have been able to support your dreams over the past year and look forward to providing more financial services to you in the coming year. New Locations To Serve You! Even as more members move to electronic transactions, we still feel it s important for you to have locations and staff conveniently available. Being a part of the communities in which members live is also important. This year, we plan on expanding our branch network in the Edmond area. We have purchased property at the Southeast corner of 33rd and Santa Fe and plan to begin construction of a new full service location in the coming months. This branch will feature a multi-lane drive-thru, drive-up ATM, safe deposit boxes and Saturday drivethru hours. We will be relocating our Ardmore branch to expand service and better serve the residents of Southern Oklahoma. Communication Federal Credit Union has a community charter in Carter County with membership open to anyone who lives or works in the area. We believe this new location will increase visibility for the credit union and enable us to better serve our existing members and help us grow to serve more Carter County residents. This branch will again feature a multi-lane drive-thru, drive-up ATM and safe deposit boxes. Both of the new locations will have an inviting atmosphere and make it easier for members to conduct business. We have spent a We are trying to move from an environment where the design was more transaction focused to a new design that centers on members to provide a sense of belonging, comfort and stability. significant amount of time studying branch design and what our members want when they visit a branch states Larry Shropshire, Communication Federal Credit Union President/CEO. We are trying to move from an environment where the design was more transaction focused to a new design that centers on members to provide a sense of belonging, comfort and stability. We will be working to further incorporate these elements to existing locations in the future. Watch for more information about these locations as the year progresses. We hope to have both locations open for members during 2011. BOARD NomINEES SELECTED Louis Enloe and Mike Morgan have been selected by the Credit Union Nominating Committee to serve another term on the Credit Union Board of Directors. All have agreed to serve another three-year term. The election will be held at the Annual Meeting on March 21, 2011 in Oklahoma City. Louis Enloe has served on the Communication Federal Credit Union Board of Directors since 2001. He previously served as a board director for ONECU Federal Credit Union since 1996. He retired as Vice President Personnel in 1991 after 45 years of service with ONEOK, Inc. Mike Morgan has served on the Credit Union Board for one year and previously served as an advisory board member for six years. He and his wife Barbara have two children who have blessed them with five grandchildren. Mike taught and coached for ten years before going to Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. There he held numerous positions in production during his first 18 years before going into Human Resources where he retired after 27 years with the company. He is an active member with Centenary Methodist Church. He is a board member of Lawton AMBUCS and a board member of Lawton Boys Home, Inc. Members of the Nominating Committee for election year 2011 include Chairman Allan Booher, Cathy Borjas and Steve Pittenger. If you are interested in volunteering to serve on the Board of Directors, submit your biographical data, along with the signatures of 490 fellow credit union members, no later than February 1, 2011. Members who are nominated must agree to the nomination and to serve in the office if elected. Petitions received after this date will not be accepted. For further information and official petition forms, contact the credit union at 405.879.5650.

BUDGETING FOR THE NEW YEAR Many of us make a New Year s resolution to keep better track of spending, have a savings goal or even resolutions that relate to making provisions for a new home, car or expanding family. Sometimes these resolutions seem almost impossible, but we ve come up with a few tips that can make financial resolutions a little easier. Tip 1: Be Reasonable with Your Goals Set a budget that is attainable. If your goals are reasonable, you ll be more likely to achieve them and not give up. Tip 2: Have You Thought About Refinancing? Have you thought about refinancing your home or vehicle to save money each month? Call the credit union and often we can refinance your loan from another lender. Tip 3: Alter Your Habits or Environment If coffee on your way to work is a temptation, change your route to avoid seeing your favorite stop. If shopping is a habit, find other activities to occupy your time, rather than going to the mall or shopping online. Tip 4: Don t Give Up Because of One Slip You might get off track one week or have an unexpected situation arise. Stick with your plan and readjust your goals if necessary. Tip 5: Involve Your Family and Friends It s easier if you have a group that can support each other and hold each other accountable for your goals. Tip 6: Consolidate Debt and Put Away Credit Cards Consolidating debt to one single payment can often lower the total amount you pay each month and make it easier to track expenses. Communication Federal members have saved over $500 each month by consolidating debt. Tip 7: Look for Discounts Look for money saving discounts. Look online for discount codes and coupons. Organizations such as AARP and AAA have negotiated discounts for members. Always be sure to ask! Tip 8: Average Your Monthly Bill Ask your utility providers about averaging your monthly bill. Averaging provides a more consistent expense each month and makes it easier to budget. annual meeting bingo party OKC Annual Meeting/Bingo Party Monday, March 21, 2011 @ 7 p.m. Moore Norman Technology Center, 13301 S.
