Besides his technical leadership and management responsibilities, Hahn has personally helped energy utilities worldwide develop utility enterprise strategy and process, integrated technology roadmap, and integrated Smart Grid and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) solutions. His Smart Grid expertise includes DMS/OMS, DA/SCADA, AMI, MDM, and ADR. His EAM experience includes Geospatial Information System (GIS), Work and Asset Management Systems (WAMS), Condition Based Maintenance and Reliability Centered Maintenance (CBM/RCM), and Field Force Automation and Mobile Workforce Management (FFA/MWM). Highlights of my technical work include: BC Hydro: developed distribution grid operations strategy (DGOS) and distribution automation strategy, and helped establish the overall system of the future strategy at BC Hydro. DGOS covers the integration and alignment of transmission and distribution control centers, advanced distribution operations and outage management. EPCOR: DMS strategy, specifications, RFP development and proposal evaluation. Hydro One: solution architect and owner s engineer for Hydro One s smart grid program, My technical contributions included the system (power system and IT) architecture, smart grid enabled to be business process models, and business case. The efforts included the integration and alignment of advanced DMS applications and their integration with EMS/SCADA and OMS, distribution automation and intelligent power equipment, and enterprise integration. Madison Gas & Electric: helped MGE refine plans for DMS/OMS implementation and migration/alignment of the Page 2

distribution operation center (DOC) to maximize operational benefits from the technology investments. PJM Interconnections: Providing project management and overall technical support to PJM in the planning and implementation of synchrophasor technology and integration of synchrophasor data from twelve transmission owners into the PJM system. Snohomish County PUD: led the efforts in helping the PUD craft solution architecture for advanced DMS/OMS, including integration with EMS/SCADA and enterprise systems, develop system specifications, and evaluate vendors and products. Southern California Edison: supported the synchrophasor system architecture, including advanced operation planning and control applications, and their integration with EMS/SCADA and within the SCE IT architectural framework and infrastructure services. Taiwan Power: AMI pilot, architecture and design reviews, test plan and testing review, demand response study. Tallahassee Utilities: MDM requirements development and integration manager, design reviews, test plan and testing support. Tata Power Delhi Distribution, Ltd.: Led smart grid roadmap and feasibility study, including strategy development, enterprise architecture, gap assessments, implementation plan, cost/benefit analysis and business case, technical specifications for AMI/MDM, enterprise service bus, field force automation, business intelligence and data analytics. Department of Energy: helped develop architecture framework and requirements for the Department of Energy (DOE) North American SynchroPhasor Initiative network (NASPInet). NIST: helped develop the Smart Grid interoperability and standards framework and roadmap, release 2.0, particularly in the AMI area. Other: supported strategic Smart Metering, DR and Smart Grid initiatives at PEPCO Holdings, Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E), Baltimore Gas & Electric, Electricity of Macau (China), etc. Page 3

The work includes integration design with DMS/OMS. City of Anaheim: MDM strategy, architecture, specifications and vendor selection, leading to board approval of system implementation, integration of MDM with DMS/OMS. Baltimore Gas & Electric: Business case, enterprise solution architecture, integration with OMS, implementation roadmap, process reengineering, change management plan, and technology/vendor selections for Advanced metering and DR infrastructures, MDM and system integration, DR marketing, and endpoint installations. CPS Energy: AMI and MDM, including business case, specifications, vendor selection, process reengineering and change management. The work includes AMI enabled and integration of OMS. Exelon: MDMS and system integration; mobility enablement and field force automation strategy supporting efforts from conceptualization to board approval and implementation startup. Hawaiian Electric: AMI and MDM, including support for HECO filing of regulatory applications and AMI contract negotiations. Oncor (TXU) Electric Delivery: Planning, architecting, specifications and technology selection for smart grid applications, including DMS, OMS, MWM, and their integration of AMI, Broadband over Power Line, MDM, Distribution Automation, and SCADA. San Diego Gas & Electric: MDM and system architecture; OpEx 20/20 strategy ( Utility of the Future ) covering smart grid, DMS/OMS, asset management, field force enablement, and customer service. Serving on the CPUC AMI Technical Advisory Panel for SDG&E. Southern California Gas: AMI, MDM, system integration and program management, including business case and regulatory filing support. Helped conceptualize and architect the EDRP strategy and an integrated suite of applications including Geospatial Info System, System Planning, Work Design and Management, Mobile Workforce Management, and Outage Management, and helped deliver integrated EDRP solutions to Cinergy, Alliant Energy, LG&E Energy, and Vectren. Delivered major improvements in service reliability and storm restoration performance to utilities worldwide, including Cinergy (cutting storm restoration times to half of the utility's neighbors in 2001), PacifiCorp, Indianapolis Power & Light, Korea Electric Power Company, etc. Real Time Energy Management. Architected solutions to increase the business benefits of Automated Meter Reading in T&D operations as well as customer services at Kansas City Power & Light, JEA, and WE Energies.
