If I meet the qualifications, when will I receive my benefits? Dividends are paid monthly and posted on the last day of the statement cycle. If I use another financial institution s ATM and pay a fee, when will I get my refunds? If the qualifications are met, ATM fees will be refunded on the last day of the month. Do I have to do anything in order to get my ATM fee refunds? Members who meet the Gold Checking qualifications will receive up to $25.00 in domestic ATM fees refunded for that month (this includes both surcharges charged by the ATM owner for using their machine as well as any Kitsap Credit Union s ATM usage fee for not using an ATM owned by Kitsap Credit Union.) If the Gold qualifications are not met, the ATM fees are not refunded. Are fees refunded on ATMs used internationally? No. Refunds are made for use only with domestic ATMs. I have direct deposit but sometimes it posts at the end of the month and sometimes at the beginning. Will I qualify for Gold Checking? You must have a direct deposit, automatic payment, or bill payment post to your account during the calendar month to qualify. Since direct deposits may post at the beginning or end of the month, we recommend that you have more than one of the qualifiers. For example, direct deposit and an automatic payment. What is the statement cycle for Gold Checking? The statement cycle begins on the first day of the month and ends on the last day of the month. Qualifying transactions must be posted to the account on or before the last day of the month. What is the qualification cycle? A qualification cycle is the period beginning with the first business day of the month and ending at 5:00 p.m. on the last business day of the month. Will all Gold Checking members be on the same cycle? If an existing member converts to a Golds Checking account, will his/her statement cycle change? No. All Kitsap Credit Union checking accounts are on the same statement cycle. If I use my Visa debit card at an ATM, will that transaction count towards my qualifications? No. Only non- ATM, point- of- sale transactions count and they must be posted to the account on or before the last day. What is a settled transaction? A settled transaction is one that has posted to your account. For some debit card transactions, the funds are placed on hold and may take up to three days to actually settle or clear your account. May I carry forward Visa debit card transactions in excess of the required number to the next cycle? No. You must meet the qualifications each month. Must I access my electronic statement online in order to qualify for the benefits of Gold Checking? You must choose to receive your monthly statements electronically with a valid e- mail address rather than in paper, delivered via the U.S. Postal Service. How do I access my electronic statement? You will receive an email when your electronic statement is available to view. Log into your online banking at kitsapcu.org, then click on the Statement tab. Click on the date of your statements to view it, print it, or save it to your computer s hard drive. You ll also find the monthly member newsletter and any other important member information by scrolling down the list. Do I receive images or checks back with my Gold Checking account? Most check images are available for you to view through the history in online banking. Can I have a Gold Checking account if I don t own a computer? Yes, of course! You don t have to own a computer, but you must provide a valid e- mail address for notification of availability of each electronic statement. You can access email through most public libraries, some senior
centers, or at the computer kiosks located at Kitsap Credit Union branches. What if I need a printed copy of my statement and/or check image? You can print a check or statement from your computer. Additionally, Kitsap Credit Union keeps records of all statements and checks as required by state and federal laws. What if I change my e- mail address? You must notify the Credit Union when your e- mail address changes so that we can deliver your notification of your statement availability. What if I don t want my statement delivered electronically? Electronic statement delivery is a requirement for all Gold Checking accounts to receive the benefits. Delivery of paper statements is still an option if you choose not to have a Gold Checking account. Is there a limit on the amount of money I can keep in my Gold Checking account? There is no limit to the amount you may put into your account. Is there a minimum balance requirement in order to receive my benefits?
