INSTRUCTIONS TO CHAIRPERSONS AND PRESENTERS Every session lasts 105 minutes and includes 2 5 presentations. Out of that, 60-80 minutes are for presentations and 25-45 minutes for discussion. PUBLIC BUS TO IFAD From Laurentina station catch the 764 bus (direction LONDRA) and get off after 6 stops at stop DI DONO/BALDOVINETTI. REGISTRATION Registration will start at 13.30 on 11 November 2009. When arriving at IFAD headquarters in Via Paolo di Dono 44, you have to enter the main guardhouse located at the front access of the building, where you will be asked to provide an Identification document (ID) to the Security Guards, which will be returned after your participation has been verified. A conference pass for the duration of the meeting will be provided for 3 days. If your name does not appear in the list of participants confirmed to attend, you will be asked to register each day as a regular visitor and your ID will be retained till the end of each day. Each participant will receive a name badge upon check-in at the Registration Desk. The badge must be visible throughout the duration of the Conference in order to be admitted to the Conference Halls. Details below are provided to help you get to the Rome center from the airports. From Fiumicino Airport Train

Every 30 minutes: from 6:37 to 23:37 Every 30 minutes: from 5:52 to 22:52 The Leonardo Express is a non-stop train service which takes you from Fiumicino airport to Termini Station (the main train and subway station in the centre of Rome) in approximately 31 minutes and costs 11 Euro. From Termini Station you can take the Metro Line B (direction Laurentina) 11 stops to Laurentina station (it s the last stop). From Fiumicino airport you can also take trains for: Roma Tiburtina; Fara Sabina; Poggio Mirteto and Orte. When taking these trains you should get off at Roma Ostiense station. These trains stop at every station and your journey will take approximately 28 minutes to go from Fiumicino airport to Roma Ostiense and will cost 5.50 Euro. The Rome Ostinese train station is connected to the Piramide Line B metro stop. Take the Laurentina direction and get off at Laurentina station (it s the last stop). From Ciampino Airport Terravision shuttle The is not rail connection to Ciampino airport. A shuttle bus is provided by Terravision. The service connects Ciampino airport to Termini central station. Tel. +39 06 35 70, +39 06 6645, +39 06 5551, +39 06 4994 Bus: Rome has a comprehensive network of local bus routes. The underground (Metro) has two lines, Linea A (red) and Linea B (blue). The two lines intersect at Termini railway station. Tickets for public transport should be purchased in advance and can be purchased at a "Tabaccheria" at the Airport and Termini Station and from the automatic machines at the subway stations. Tickets cost 1 Euro (approximately US$ 1.40). Tickets may be used once for underground (metro) transport and unlimited bus travel within the ticket validation time of 75 minutes. Tickets are validated upon entering bus/tram or at the point of entrance to the Metro. There are also day tickets valid for a whole day on the entire bus and metro network. Tips: Restaurant bills include a service charge. However, it is common practice to leave a small tip. Voltage: Electricity in Italy is supplied at 220 V - 50 Hz AC. Foreign appliances may require an adaptor. SHOPPING IN ROME Main shopping streets: Piazza di Spagna, Via Condotti, Via del Babuino, Via del Corso, Via del Tritone, Via Cola di Rienzo.
