Ohio University Lancaster and Pickerington faculty conduct research, publish books, and present papers all over the world. Faculty in our technology programs bring realworld experience to their classrooms and labs. Our faculty members care about you and are readily accessible, with offices around the corner or up a flight of stairs. Class sizes are small, assuring that you receive personal attention. Student Services staff members are available until early evening Monday through Thursday and on Saturday mornings. Academic advisors help you plan your schedule and stay on track. At the Lancaster Campus you ll also find well-equipped science, technology, clinical, and computer labs, a dance studio/exercise room, a weight room, and bookstore. Food service is available in The Zone student lounge. OUL Kids day care is located across from the student lounge. The Hannah V. McCauley Library houses nearly 60,000 volumes, a wide range of periodicals and electronic databases, a learning commons, and OhioLINK access to meet your research and scholarly needs. Both the Campus and Center are fully accessible by persons with disabilities. Tutoring is available one-on-one or online in many subject areas as needed. State-certified, affordable child care for preschool children is available on the Lancaster Campus for all students. Get involved Compete against other regional campuses in baseball, men s and women s basketball, golf, softball, and tennis. Attend a lecture, debate, or theatre performance. Ohio University offers over 250 majors You may begin any Ohio University major and relocate to the Athens Campus, a four-year comprehensive university. 4 Value Attending a regional campus is your best educational value. Tuition at Lancaster and Pickerington is less than $5,000 per year. Compare costs and the education you receive at other four-year institutions across the state. You ll save money by living at home, and you won t have to give up your full- or part-time job. More than half of our students receive financial aid in the form of scholarships, grants, and work study. Your completed OU application also serves as your application for University scholarships. Submit your FAFSA (federal student aid application) on time as most colleges and universities as well as scholarship grantors want this information. The Campus offers many scholarships to students. Freshman scholarships range in value from $750 to over $3,000 and are awarded to beginning freshmen who have demonstrated academic achievement in high school. Many scholarships continue throughout a student s undergraduate program. The scholarship deadline is March 1. If you re a high school junior or senior, be sure to explore Post Secondary Enrollment Options, the Seniors to Sophomores, and Dual Enrollment programs. Situated on over 100 scenic acres at the north edge of Lancaster, the Campus features historic bridges, the hiking and biking trail along Fetters Run, and a greenhouse. 6 Admission Procedures If you have a high school diploma or GED, you re eligible for admission to the Lancaster Campus and Pickerington Center. There is no deadline to meet, and you may enroll any semester. Applying as a freshman: 1. Request an application by calling or visiting the Campus or Center, or apply via the web site at 2.
