4 CoreISSUE Is The New Standard for Card Management Designed to meet the rigorous requirements of commercial card processing and reporting, CoreISSUE is available in a variety of configurations to meet the unique needs of each issuer. Each configuration of CoreISSUE may be deployed individually or collectively in phases to meet specific operational and strategic requirements. CoreACQUIRE provides scalable, fault-tolerant, real-time transaction processing and complete back office functionality including authorizations, clearing, settlement, exceptions processing, and risk management. Embedded multilingual and multicurrency capabilities within CoreACQUIRE enable acquirers to easily extend their merchant portfolio across multiple borders. CoreAPPLICATION can be integrated easily with our CoreISSUE software to make the processing of new prepaid card requests quick and seamless. Sample Data Flow with CoreAPPLICATION Business Rules Automated Multiple Input Methods New applications are submitted via online portals, web screens, externally received files, APIs from a processor s website, or via individual XML messages. Applications may come from merchants, merchant groups, owning partners, or any financial institution. Data Verification A series of edits to ensure the data submitted with the application is handled according to the business model and rules. Specific data elements are checked for validity and to determine the sequence of work steps the application will follow as it moves through the system. Data elements in the application can be compared to a variety of items based on the rules including another data element, a fixed value, or to an edit table. The system allows the creation of minor and major failures in this verification process. Similar rules can be established when duplicate entries are found in the database. Queue Assignments Upon completion of the automated workflow processing steps, applications are sent to the appropriate queue based on the process result. Queues can have a predetermined sequence of steps to follow based on business rules. Steps and the sequences in which they occur are completely user-defined based on the data input, the driving process, and the results of decisioning at a variety of steps throughout the entire sequence. Applications may be assigned to manual review queues as needed. Scoring and Credit Bureau Interfaces Supports auto decisioning based on credit scores or specific data in the credit application combined with data retrieved from any credit bureau. Parameters determine which applications require pulling information from a credit bureau, as well as which report and what information to acquire. Decisioning and Workflows All the application work steps, both automatic and manual, are determined by the business rules. Every work step has at least one outcome and could easily have more. One outcome will be the final disposition of the application. User Security and Restrictions Security permissions for users is a key part of CoreAPPLICATION. A variety of permissions that enable the specialist to decision applications within certain parameters can also restrict users regarding tasks they can perform. 7 CoreSALES Simplifies The Tracking Of Incentives CoreSALES is an incentive tracking tool designed to optimize the monitoring of incentive programs in sales, customer service and collection departments. CoreSALES is a browser-based solution usable by prepaid issuers who want to pay commissions to sales agents. Interface output transactions and files are received from CoreISSUE, CoreACQUIRE and CoreCOLLECT for posting to CoreSALES. Activity from sales agents, sales managers, and related account activity is tracked, settled and reported accordingly. CoreSALES tracks and rewards productivity by calculating commissions to be paid on various incentive programs. CoreSALES can also support incentive programs that are established for Customer Service Representatives, Collectors and Merchant Sales Representatives. Sales Rep Assignments Each Sales Representative record is set up for either Direct Sales or as an Independent Contractor. Each Sales Manager record is set up as either Sales Management or as an Independent Sales Organization. Sales Commissions Sales representatives may be paid commissions based on a comprehensive list of activities in the system, including a flat fee for adding a new merchant, store, or register, a percentage of the merchant s discount, a flat fee for a terminal, printer or imprinter, or a percentage of a terminal sales or lease price. Commissions are settled at both the sales representative and sales manager level based on many criteria including cardholder monetary activity, merchant monetary activity, the number of new companies, number of new cardholders, number of new embossed cards, and/or the number of new merchants, stores, and/or registers. Collections Commissions For collection activity companies can pay commissions based on the amount of satisfied promise-to-pay records, the number of final dispositions, and the number of right party contacts. Parameter Driven Controls With easy-to-define parameters, companies set up how employees earn commissions for issuing, acquiring, and collection activities. Multiple levels of hierarchy may be used to establish commission levels. Commissions may be defined as a percent, an amount, a count, or a combination of all three. Reporting Reports are available to review both issuing and acquiring sales activity. A commission notification (much like a cardholder statement) is available on the Internet.
8 CoreDISPUTE Eases the Burden of Handling Disputes & Chargebacks CoreDISPUTE is a comprehensive, workflow driven dispute handling application which optimizes dispute management, reduces personnel costs and improves productivity. CoreDISPUTE is designed to simplify the complexity associated with Disputes and Chargebacks. CoreDISPUTE speeds implementation of a dispute and chargeback system with predefined and user-defined queues. These queues make it easier for the company s customer service staff to implement the processes and procedures to follow the prescribed workflow. CoreDISPUTE can automate many of the steps in the existing process through the use of business rules and workflow tools that are included in CoreDISPUTE. Studies have shown that automating dispute handling with programs like CoreDISPUTE reduces costs. In a study by First Annapolis Consulting they found that by automating the process issuers could achieve 30% or more in increased efficiency (as measured by number of cases per day per FTE) or throughput via end-to-end automation. Rich Dispute Tracking Functionality Automatic Case Creation CoreDISPUTE systematically creates cases out of disputed transactions. A case ID is assigned to each case in sequential order. Users work the cases using online panels and try to resolve these cases by communicating with their customers. A log of all activity is stored for review and audits. Automatic Queue Assignment Cases are assigned to queues to be worked and are presented to users according to the queues they are assigned to, according to a predefined priority. Preset queues are delivered with the system and companies can easily and quickly define custom queues as needed. Queues can only be created by personnel having the proper security (supervisors) and queue priorities will be determined by the System Administrator. Closing Disputes Cases can be closed by one of three ways: by accepting the latest message sent by the opponent, automatically winning or losing the case by not receiving or not sending any further responses in the allowed timeframe or by simply changing the case manually. Transactions are Both Systematically and Manually Transferred to CoreDISPUTE On the CoreACQUIRE side, whenever a chargeback or retrieval request transaction is received from an association, the transaction is automatically transferred to CoreDISPUTE to be worked. On the CoreISSUE side, systematicallyinitiated chargebacks are automatically being transferred to CoreDISPUTE. After creating the chargeback record entry for the clearing file, a dispute case is created and the entrance point for these cases is a passive queue ( sent chargebacks ), since the next action will be taken by the acquirer. On the CoreISSUE side, after receiving the cardholder s claim letter, a Customer Service Rep initiates a chargeback simply by clicking a button on an online screen. When the case is transferred to CoreDISPUTE manually, the step is initially set as a Presentment. Reports A number of reports may be run to review agent and case detail and summary activity. Advanced Reporting Standard and ad hoc reports are supported to monitor accounts in dispute. Merchant rebate programs for fleet operators are similar to traditional card Loyalty programs. Loyalty programs reward fleet cardholders for charging purchases at specific locations. Rebate programs help merchants build additional fleet operator traffic at their various locations by allowing merchants to offer special discounts paid in the form of a rebate to participating fleet operators. With CoreREBATES, CoreACQUIRE collects fleet operator data at the time of authorization. Upon completion of the transaction, CoreACQUIRE passes the rebate data to CoreISSUE for further processing and settlement. CoreDASHBOARD automatically monitors the status and performance of all the servers where CoreCard applications are running. CoreDASHBOARD can be configured to send alerts and notifications via to the people charged with maintaining your systems regarding specific conditions for individual as well as groups of computers. CoreDASHBOARD helps companies avoid costly downtime and other conditions that could prevent CoreCard software from running in an optimal environment. CoreDASHBOARD does the heavy lifting associated with the monitoring process. Critical Tasks Simplified Alerts and Alarms Establish alarms and alerts to be generated if certain conditions arise in a single computer or a group of computers. Alerts may be defined for many processes, such as an application running, down, frozen, etc. Reporting and Queries Run live queries against the databases. Queries can be a disposable run once and discard type of query, or a stored query that you can link to a scheduler function to monitor a scheduled process. Keep informed as to when all CoreCard applications are brought online or taken offline. Send notifications via when certain conditions are met, such as CPU load, free memory, used memory, used disk space, free disk space, CoreISSUE status, CoreACQUIRE status, CoreCOLLECT status, etc. For example, an alarm can be set when the CPU load is over 90% on the servers. Set alert messages for appservers and send an when a certain value is reached. Define custom alerts to monitor batch and VB script activity and send s when scripts fail. Dashboard s alerts are not hard-coded so they can be adjusted whenever needed and additional alert scripts can easily be added according to your requirements. Send an warning when a workflow appears to be stuck or when there appears to be no work for a workflow to perform. Send an informing you that a workflow is finished. View logs of all user and machine activity, including an outage report that displays a record of the time an outage began and ended for CoreISSUE, CoreACQUIRE and CoreCOLLECT for a specified date range. Schedule Activity Bundle multiple, similar computers for monitoring, maintenance and scheduling. For example, you can define a group named non-interactive workflows so that all the computers in that group can be scheduled to each start 5 instances of non-interactive workflows at a designated time each day. Start and stop processes and workflows via a schedule and launch processes real-time. Set workflows to run on certain machines on specific days of the month. Perform a system check of everything that is running, such as a percentage of total CPUs, a percentage of total memory, and a percentage of hard drive usage, for each computer in your network.
